I’m not willing to dig into this too deep first thing in the morning, but generally that type of error indicates that the operating system is not installed or bootable. Alternatively, it could mean the hard drive (storage) is not connected.

I've been watching a few films recently, and some of the ones that want to look 'futurey' have projected HUD things that hang in thin air. Is that likely to become a reality any time soon? In my mind, the light needs something to hit - so I've seen stuff like it, projected onto mist and stuff

since it has a heavy chunk of C (which is just C++ but with fewer quality of life features) and solid areas on algorithmic complexity. In particular check out week 3 if you're already reasonably familiar with C-like syntax, else start from the start.

guys i'm curious with how to get started with CTFs, having done google cybersecurity certification on coursera i dont think i got sufficient practical experience to start CTFs. done a few THM rooms but the CTFs are still an uncharted territory for me. can someone give a rough start point so i can go off of them to do CTFs

If its JUST algorithms, and you've never programmed before - Maybe Python. Super easy to learn, and can be pretty forgiving. But ask mknukn says, C++ is fast

to my knowledge, Leetcode has a much heavier focus on coding challenges rather than the fundamentals of computer science and algorithmic complexity, but i Might be totally wrong on this, I've not used it very much. In my mind it's good for leaning much more nuanced and hyperspecific tricks of the trade, but I think where you're at right now you want to build some solid fundamentals and explore algorithmic complexity.

once you've got an understanding of how to write an algo, in whatever language, start learning about actual pre-existing algorithms you can implement. the reason I'm recommending CS50x over going right into python is because learning C first will give you a better understanding of algorithmic complexity + optimization under the hood. with python, a lot of the algorithm is kind of "done for you" under the surface (in C)
