new version is 120 minutes
they changed some things with the new exam
To earn your CCNA certification, you must pass the 200-301 CCNA exam. This 120-minute exam tests
I don't have a question count on my report though, but I'm sure it was around 100 and something
from the the cisco website
they updated the exam at the end of last year, you were saying that it used to be 60 questions in 90 minutes, I'm just saying it wasn't
what os is everyone running?
200-301 CCNA v1.1 goes online on 19th August 2024
I did the v1.0
yeah i could go into ccna but i don't want to work networking
CCNA is useful for all IT @jagged otter it's a really good course to do
so is A+ but some don't like it
With CCNA you get great foundation of networks which would help you in any IT role
I think time is a limited resource, if you have no computing/tech knowledge then I think A+ is brilliant. I don't think getting the A+ to tick a box is a good thing, better to study something that pushes you
@jagged otter That was what I recommended a few weeks ago.
A+ is a pretty basic stuff so you may find it boring, but CCNA is not boring at all
Packet tracer is goat for learning
@coarse moth GNS3 is really good for network sims
I know, ill be taking classes like advanced networking but I really don't want to work in networking
who doesn't like networking π
network security design, computer forensics things like that
you don't have to work on networking if you don't want to, but a good understanding of networking will get you far on cybersec π
@jagged otter juniper run a CCNA equivalent course and if you finish their course material and pass the exam voucher test you get 75% off the exam
using switches, routers
that's really cool
makes it a lot cheaper
would you recommend cpts over say pnpt?
since they have the same price
okey
i just found out HTB is primarily based in greece (headquarters in UK) and I'm from greece so I think HR will know it
I didn't know it
i was looking at the cert and saw the ceo had a greek name
you can do the juniper, but you'll stumble upon with cisco gear everywhere, because is a leader in the market, juniper no so much.
ok ty for the recommendation I'll do that one
Gave +1 Rep to @fervent meteor (current: #170 - 40)
FUUUCK
pg
shadow got a random headache
@jagged otter you're not the first who tried π π
The reason I mentioned it as it's a cheap cert for someone that doesn't want to become a network engineer, but provides all the foundational material
;-; just as they were about to start that nice game time in the middle of the night
we need a unrated room with are you 18+
to get in pick your age in this drop down menu but oops it is all unix time
I know that exist, but I don't recommended because I don't know how good/comprehensive is
who can do a little check for me? isnt it intended that with the "download task files" button it should download files? Not open an image in your browser lol
oh so (left for unrated words) then
Else i'll report it in room bugs
anyways shadow is gonna abort game time and go sleep to hopefully clear the nasty headache that denied shadows game time
@blazing granite they're really good. We've just moved to juniper FW, the rest of our setup is cisco with a small mix of other vendors. So we've all been getting up to speed with juniper. The documentation and learning materials are really good, and they are a solid company.
so meep moop to the beep boop for the sleep sloop
Sleep well :)
i might go in class and sit by the most miss thang and rip one and look at her funny and move to another desk
say "all you had to do is ask me to move, that was uncalled for
sometimes i just need to do things like that to break the mundane
this is the desciption of the 1st ccna class This course introduces the architecture, structure, functions, components, and models of the Internet and computer networks. The principles of IP addressing and fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations are introduced to provide a foundation for the curriculum. By the end of the course, you will be able to build simple LANS, perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement IP addressing schemes. This class will help prepare students for the the CCNA exam, it is the first of a three part series.
I've noticed in the UK universities are doing this @jagged otter , they'll use the CCNA material for learning, but you don't get the CCNA from it
yeah
you'd think that you'd also get the exam out of it
I think it's Β£10,000/yr for tuition now, so you'd expect to get the exam as well
the exam itself cost 300 USD
Expensive ass restaurant
yup some cajun restaurants are
@blazing granite I think if you're using CCNA syllabus, that's already saving the university from having to create it's own. That saving should be passed on to the student in the exam fee. Plus for institutions that buy vouchers in bulk they're discounted
pelase be more respectfull in this server

hi jabbers
im not seriously sorry
Doesnβt come across that way :)
Thatβs my discord username
@mossy river Why did you change your pfp
in the worst case sorry for helping community
I can't recognize you...
Yeah i didnt realize that was Jabba at first either
it's my brain
@buoyant tree π how are you?
Any experienced hacker out there ? I want to recover a pass of an email, Lost the phone in which I had during an accident.
You need to contact the service. Hacking another service without permission is illegal.
contact support of the email company
surely he lost the phone
π no it's my email
We still cant help you
What should I do then? I'm fucked rn
Contact what GNU and Jabba said
as you been told contact support of the email company π
beyond tired
any suggestions
contact support and do not seek help for illegal activities
Ultra-tired
sleep would be a good starting point π
sleep not option
I have been begging the Google support still there ain't any reply
Then i guess you lost the phone, we wont help with illegal activities
damn. Sorry for wasting your time. βοΈ
Its jabba
bun
bro the rabbit holes in boiler CTF are hilarious

Did they stop that desktop screenshot ai crap?
recall's been recalled
I can't even find it in settings
The button functions as a windows button
And the only reference of it on the laptop via the search bar is a ghost result of setting's changing how copilot looks on taskbar
Yay but boooooo
Wanted to see if it sent network traffic anywhere when it was taking a screenshot
yah
I got the laptop for 2 bucks
Surprisingly
So i have this account. ID reports uid=0 .. but the whole drive is basically unwritable/readable
what's this on? could it be bound to somewhere else or potentially be chattr'd
they announced the recall a while back. It was total recall π
stop with the old people jokes /s.
Eh but one of the funniest stories of this year
Recall got recalled
recall was probably one of the worst microsoft ideas, and a huge security risk
they were even storing it in plaintext
watched john hammond's vid on that
I moved from a Linux engineer, to a network engineer. So my windows-fu has always been weak. But it seems I wasn't missing much
you never miss much with windows π
AD has been kicking my bum to learn, it's always been one of them things I knew about but had a windows admin to deal with @blazing granite
AD is not that hard
No, it's really not, you can learn a good chunk of it with some VM's at home. Where it gets to be a pain is GPO, depending on your companies policies of course...
they mix azure nowadays to revamp ad π
lol
I got an offer to do my eCPPT for Β£100, so I thought why not. This has brought me down the security path. This is more of a fun thing. It's turning it more of a time sink than I thought
I think you meant "Entra" COUGH AD
@pearl raven sorry, "Entra" lol
someone from staff active?
Hm?
It's just boring
boring boring boring boring boring
Hey guys. I have a general question about hacking. Is there such thing as "Too Much Enumeration?"
Do you guys think that if I am enumerating my target for days before I start attacking the vectors I found -- is that too long?
Because I am in my earling box-doing stages, and I want to enumerate absolutely everything, and organize everything into my notes. Perhaps after many boxes, I will be able to further understand what I dont have to spend time enumerating...
What do u think?
There is a bug in a room and I wanted to report it
is there any microsoft fun stuff? π π
Microsoft documentation is actually really good, can't knock them for that
I'll never forget the Ballmer "Cancer" comment
I'll never forget Bill Gates in Comdex giving a speech about the great virtues of windows and plug and play, when he plugged a scanner and got a big fat BSOD I'm still laughing about that π
We used to call it plug and pray π
Windows phone
Windows has hindered computing for so many years. IBM owning redhat I think might have the same impact on Linux
it was the release of windows 98 if I'm not mistaken
Microsoft even try Unix and it was a complete failure too π
they had a version called Xenix
microsoft unix was before it's windows os
Rex, remind me what you do for work again
my first 386 had windows 3.1
nowadays tech support π
we open a DM a while ago π
oh yeah I forgot
brain not working at 100% due to being so tired
Just gonna put this here for yall to contemplate
So much hate on the matrix, but I loved it. This was my teenage years movie
was it, I just thought it was a great movie. Trinity in latex as a teenager lol
There's hate on the matrix?
A lot of ppl hate on the sequals @buoyant tree
That's fair but don't you dare hate the first one
I didn't like the new one, but the original was epic, and the sequels we really good movies
animatrix was awesome as well
@fervent meteor that always seemed retrospective, as they both became trans
I haven't watched that
any good labs to practice ejptv2 ?
No, that is unethical and against our community rules
?
I think that's the one?
yup
2 bucks.....
2 dollars
I've found the INE material lacking
A student sold his off to me for 2 bucks
The weirdest thing that happened to me ever
INE have fantastic networking content, but the security stuff isn't great
sorry to bother again I have one last question if you don't mind, should I do the courses from TCM (I can complete all of them in one month subscription) even though I'm going after the HTB certs (I saw they have one for advanced web attack I want that too)
@boreal scarab This is something you are a prime candidate for https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/1eqxvo3/any_ideas_how_i_could_make_something_like_this/
PC master race
THM and HTB seem the best learning content for security
which one is that?
I can say that TCM's content is good, but I hate learning by watching, I prefer to learn by doing.
I haven't tried any of their newer stuff yet, so I can't comment on that.
ah np
@pearl raven agree watched some of the stuff on yt, I haven't got a subscription, but they also seem good
@boreal scarab are you back home or you still in hanging out in Vegas?
Think he's back home since he was on a flight with uncharged headphones a day ago
Once you're in Vegas it's hard to leave Vegas π that's why I'm asking
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas
unless it's an STD π π
eh
i think you need a little bit of all worlds, I don't like reading books but you'll always learn something new from a few good ones like https://www.amazon.com/Web-Application-Hackers-Handbook-Exploiting/dp/1118026470 and https://www.amazon.com/Web-Application-Security-Exploitation-Countermeasures/dp/1098143930
but it is time consuming
For sure, I don't mind using my time like that though. As long as I'm learning.
@rapid merlin total opposite, I love reading books
Parrot's twitter account has it's location set as 'behind you'
i like laying back and watching videos
usually I'm good at memorizing so lack of hand's on practice is not a big deal for me
Hey guys. Can anyone recommend an actual automation tool for XSS? Because I couldn't find any good or working one...
@rapid merlin I find video learning misses a lot, I do use both, but books ftw
GIB SETUP
Bruuuh
Wipe that crap out
Brand new OS, look that laptop over
nice parrot
lol
someone visit parrot sec's website for me and lmk if it's dead
if i ever get a parrot i'll teach him l33t sp34k so he can be cool like us here in the server
weird
working for me too
WHY KILL PARROT
I'm riding the struggle bus, but it loaded.
curiosity, no wait that was the cat π
it works on my computer lol
i wonder if that's why it's always been inconsistent for me.
are you using firefox ?
Firefox FTW!!!
firefox can be weird with a lot of different webpages
i've had issues logging into my different schools' student portals for example
I guess Jay is typing his autobiography π
I've never found one that's a viable replacement for good old manual testing, XSS is notoriously hard to automate. There's some that can compliment manual testing well like DOM Invader and domloggerpp.
I do hate web
anybody tried the Arc browser here ?
@fervent meteor the attack surface is huge
only windows AFAIK so no
not heard of the Arc browser? Is it an independent browser?
and is the easier
looking forward to the alpha of ladybird browser
it looks like a huge bug π π π
I use Linux
@blazing granite it's still in beta, give it time. We need more competition in the browser space
it's a browser that's trying to be different by doing vertical tabs and removing bookmarks and instead doing something that's 'more clever'
i haven't tried it yet but i've been curious about it
what distro
even in its release version will be a bug, just look at the name π
lol
nowadays Kubuntu becuase I have a weird laptop and kubuntu gives me hardware support for all of it, but I used many.
the story behind it is really nice, the guy was an addict and washed out. And he started to build this browser as a way to stay sober @blazing granite
Long time Linux user, I use it before it was cool π
that's cool. i'm not a full-on linux user yet but i've enjoyed dabbling in it
i miss my pc set up. it's a little harder to virtualize on macbooks
what was your first linux distro that you try?
@blazing granite I've run linux since 2009, never looked back
what made you try linux the first time you did, film ?
what was your first linux distro that you try?
what was your first linux distro that you try?
slackware
computers were cool when they first came out
they're still kinda cool, sometimes
cool-ish
@coarse moth ubuntu
the first version of Slackware π
why ?
GNU and my timeline is the same
@blazing granite Slackware is great, I love Patrick is still running it
After all the disro hopping I'm back on fedora
just means we old GNU
Probably the oldest here π
nah, I don't know about you, I know Tim is older, toaster may be
well I used solaris before I used linux
I tried some Unix too, Solaris, SCO, and FreeBSD
yeah I liked freebsd a lot
I switched to freebsd after slackware, used that for a couple years in college
what version
LOL version was the best one π
I love how everyone knocks buntu, but I's an awesome distro to get ppl into linux
the best way to get ppl into linux = guiless environment straight into vim
or the best way to give them a panic attack π
what is currently your favorite linux distro
i don't have one. i've been using kali linux for thm rooms but haven't had the opportunity to use any tools while on the soc level 1 path
Fedora is solid, I'd go back to it, once I change laptops
Fedora KDE >
parrot and kali are not daily drivers and shouldn't be used as such
for daily driving, fedora >
yes i mean debian
wdym i use kali only to watch yootoob vidz
people unironically do
that's the whole reason they stopped shipping as root by default
cause people are dumb
all people are crazy some more than others π
I did see that they've added a home spin recently...haven't tried it yet though
Not sure how I feel about running it but curious what their goals are with it
It was justifiable back with backtrack as usb pass trough was awful, so for wifi testing yes
bare metal yes, daily driver no
i'm watching a vid on it rn and it seems to run not on debian stable but on a rolling version
bare metal burner =/= sarah's laptop in accounting
yeah, deb sid
aka deb testing
I'm super paranoid, I don't log into any website on my kali vm
if you have the ability to have a dedicated machine fair one, that's not used for anything else
because I vpn into htb, thm and others
I'd still use VMs
eh that's a bit of an extreme imo, but nothing wrong with being over cautious
i don't like using the vpn outside of a vm tho we agree on the vpn part
being paranoid will keep you alive on the internet π
I don't think so, its entirely possible your system could get compromised when vpning into hostile networks
it's got vscodium instead of regular vscode
if I log into anything, its on the host. if kali is your host and you using that to vpn into hostile networks... good luck to you
oh yeah no it's possible just unlikely
am i gonna not log into "any" account? no. am i going to do my banking while hooked into thm or htb or etc? probably not
more likely than otherwise just not high i mean
I don't see a reason to log into any account on my vm when I can log into it on my host
you mean vpn to a vpn provider then vpn again on kali?
only reason i use a (not thm or htb provided) vpn is so i can change my ip if i accidentally piss of a WAF while bounty hunting
don't wanna get my home ip blocked
only reason I've used a vpn to a vpn provider was to watch regional content on streaming services π€£
just use a VPN to get faster internet
download more ram moment
relatable
if you've got some messed up shit going on i guess lol
if your ISP has shit peering
get around deep packet insp
but the peering to/from the VPN is better
it can be lower latency/faster
ive seen it a couple times
i built vpn services professionally
the big name services are mostly a scam
interesting take, I haven't thought about that π
i just use my own VPN
@fervent meteor turns out htb academy also gives CPE credits for ISC2 u just saved me so much time

ty
you gotta have a real shit ISP to have worse peering then a VPN
I have as well for use while traveling, but more of a means to access internal stuffs
ello
its 50% that for me too
but like
i just tunnel everything via that when travelling/untrusted areas
like at defcon, my vpn was on 24/7 lol
oh yeah no it just depends on the situation
like in my case I'm normally just in canada where I can roam or use trusted wifi
if I was in a bad spot then vpn all the way
i have my VPN set to auto enabled on any wifi-network thats not my home or my SO's
cause those are the only 2 networks i control
i tend not to either
not the same in can tho
i pay $34/month
for unlim data can/us
i debated just going to AT&T
i don't remember what I was quoted last, but it was pretty horrid
but last I checked was pre covid
is the US lte/5g or slower after x amt?
Like a lot of plans are 5G for say 15GB then 3g or something
50gb
Hi
which i dont touch that high
AT&T was like
$60/month
for unlimited unlimited data
with free US/Can/Mex roaming with no out-of-country cap
idek if att was an option where we were at
would've roamed anyways
in Israel I paid 14 dollars for 100GB 5G
You need a US SSN / Credit
90% of the time hitting bell or telus
Though alot of people resell AT&T lines to canadians
oh yeah no i mean service location wise
we've had att, but still roamed when in AB
@molten sky i also finally semi-agree air canada is shit now
at&t isn't all that great in the US, depends where you are
verizon tends to have a better network
this schedule is making me hate life and air canada
USD? or whatever isreal's currency is?
we've had pretty good luck with them historically
i roam on AT&T, its not bad
we never bought into att though we were several acquisition back
lotta deadspots in the country though
but idk if thats AT&T or just fields and nothingness
just normal
I made the conversion so was more understandable the currency there is the shekel π
i have metro by tmobile and i have service almost everywhere
im on publicmobile atm
I'm soliciting travel suggestions if anyone has any
ok want a brilliant idea?
sure?
i remember having to walk out into the hills just to make a phone call while in ab lol
at least there in the prairies and foothills you can do that -- here, you've got straight pinelands and it's a lil more difficult
14usd for that is pretty great actually
and find somewhere that looks cool with cheap flights
what the sigma
theres some cheap flights to FCO im tempted to take
oh Italy is great
so far my list is... Alaska or Japan
but Japan is a long ass flight so maybe not
Japan is going to be expensive af
(I mean I hate to say... money isn't a concern)
though same with alaska tbh
goto the DPRK!
Indeed, Italy always had and will have a special place in my heart. I lived in Rome and Florence π
the currency is a bit devalued now there
you should see the individual prices of tours and stuff in Alaska, its wild
Tokyo, Kyoto two different worlds
it was a tad, but then it went up with interest rates causing it to fuck the stocks & alot of people due to FOREX
korea, both the naughty one and the not naughty one are out
I don't know much about singapore
I was there, Okinawa is pretty too
aight
i'm gonna do a full update
odds I break shit?
go tthere and find out π
we will see, that would take a bit more planning
if you want another crazy idea
this has been on my bucketlist for a while
Star Alliance
Around the world ticket
NZ and Australia are in my bucket list.
yeah I'm not that keen on airports/being on planes
I do kind of wanna zee the lil penguins in NZ but NZ is also a long flight
you ever been on a cruise ?
cruises are hit and miss
i've always flown everywhere but i'd like to try a cruise sometime
i just sleep + good food
for alaska, we'd be considering a cruise... stop in vancouver, spend a few days there, hop on cruise
definitely going to pick a good one if i go
this makes sense
all food and activities onboard would be included in the ticket
I've been in a few cruises, there were OK, but no really a fan
i just like planes partly too lol
plane spotting from the lounge > *
alot of my friends caught a bunch of shit from defcon this year
so many C+ folk
@blazing granite my gf has been on crusies with her mum and dad, she loved them
I had covid a little while ago
which ones were they ?
ive somehowβ’οΈ never managed to catch it
even travelling during the pandemic
tbh, i felt safe af travelling
literally everyone on the plane had to test 24-48h before
- vaccines the second they where avail
i caught it at the ass end of the pandemic
its not over kekw
when things started opening up again and life was returning to normal
Not vaxed and never had it
Not really, no
got my vaccines, masked about it
i tested atleast every 2 weeks most of the pandemic, so im 100% certain i never had it
immune or asymptomatic
Costa, Royal Caribbean, I've been to a bunch more but I don't remember their names π
Latter would show on test
i hear the disney one is really good
and had to be tested weekly @hot cairn
both my PCR's & the o ther ones where always -
yes
i had to get PCR's very regularly
i travelled alot, and to enter alot of countries you need a PCR with 24-48hr's
Covid was an over blown drama
and PCR + quarantine on arrival
not really, a lot of people died due to it
- if we didnt have the measures it'd be alot worse
it would've been worse if we did nothing lol
in the US, Covid has finally dropped from the top leading cause of death to #10 now
i hated taking them
@tired peak alot of ppl die to flu each year
yes and that is why flu vaccine exists
but the flu is still not a top 10 cause of death
did a covid test today and it still sucks just like always
i can still feel the feeling
idk how i didnt catch it though
@tired peak a vaccince that has been under huge scrutiny, not cooked up in a few months
I had long covid, it absolutely sucked, basically 18 months to recover
I never did that one, I was at Disney in a hotel inside the compound, it was the contemporary resort, the one that the Disney train (the one that take you to the parks) gets actually inside the hotel π
i mean, back in the start of the pandemic when i lived with family - they caught it
and i didnt(PCR Confirmed)
you mean conspiracy theories? yes lots of those
@tired peak I didn't take it and I'm fine
very nice. Disneyland, correct?
Yeah, who knows
i know my genes are fucked anyways
part of my X chormie went bye bye
tinfoil hat time lol
The reason everyone gets vaccines is to protect those who dont
herd theory
I've already had tons of genetic testing π€·
@tired peak that's not how vaccines work, they protect your immune system not the person next to you
also a huge reason for vaccines in general is that it helps prevent the spread to those who cannot be vaccinated, so individuals can get it and be fine but that isn't the point. Also viruses mutate so the more people that get a virus, the bigger chance it can mutate into something, much much worse
Walt Disney World in Orlando, Disneyland is in LA, I was there too, but I like the Orlando one better
eh, c'est la vie
its called herd immunity, it is exactly how vaccines work
herd immunity is that we all get sick
no
You still act as a carrier even after getting a vaccine
Pretty sure
I mean, as someone who is microchipped
getting chipped you know it
Getting another one next week lol
you can, basically vaccines aren't designed for 100% protection, various vaccines are designed for enough protection that if enough people get it, it prevents the spread in general
heard immunity is the thing that was getting called conspiracy theory
Wouldnβt mind if the chips gave me mobile gigabyte connection
uhh what? no
it also reduces the chances of death/severe outcomes
googles if i can implant an LTE hotspot
I see. I ask because there's a similar experience with the disneyland resort where the train / monorail can take you inside
yes exactly
some of lock down was good. It kept the idots in the houses and we got more animals out
Lmk how it goes
i do ubt you can
i've only been to disneyland several times. i always have a great time
microbiology and how vaccines work is absolutely fascinating
btw, don't let the cali people hear you say disneyland is in LA, they'll go ape
just goto disneyland in florida and CA in the same day
its easy right?
Never been
visit the statue of liberty while your at it
yeah i'll walk there
easy
tbf, its probably possible
you should see some of our local facebook groups where sometimes people do ask things like "oh I want to do San Francisco and Disneyland in the same day"
NY -> FL is like ~2 hours
I don't remember in which hotel I was in Disneyland because I was a kid I was with my family, but I remember that was no train passing through the hotel that's for sure, maybe was after I visted π
FL -> CA is ~4-5hours
well, do you like any disney related cartoons / shows or movies ?
if you time it right, you could
they are usually talking about driving
Not really
disneyland/disney world are just too crowded
yeah true
But Disney owns everything now
(Star Wars is disney related)
So probably
Travelisms are funny
but Lilo & Stitch is one of my favorite disney cartoons
its always funny to see americans goto EU and not know their CC pin and cant buy anything
My brother takes his kids down to FL Disney land, He told me how expensive it is, crazy
we don't use cc pins
its chip & signature now iirc
but I've been to europe many times and never had an issue
then you might only like disney california adventure park in anaheim or epcot in orlando
afaik mag-stripe is still mostly done
those are more thrilling / interesting
other than that no reason to go to disney theme parks if you don't like any of the theming
Noted
i have 1 CC with a mag-stripe and i need to call to enable it for a max of 2 weeks lol
i did just drive from socal to north texas in abt 2 days
Do they have portal doors
yes
@candid light I'm talking about this that is in the Magic Kingdom area
yes, this is very cool
would like to be on that one day for sure
MONORAIL
and the people mover
ive only been on 1 monorail
I say mono you say rail π
the vegas monorail is nice
i don't think i've been on the vegas monorail
i dont think so?
i need to go back
I havenβt been to many fun places
I haven't been in Vegas for ages need to go back there
Thats elevated light rail
we have metro trams in Manchester, they are good
not monorail
it sucks
Iβve never been there once
i wish the REM would finish the airport line
the bus to the airport sucks
or $40 uber
got a 6am flight tmmrw i really dont want to deal with the bus at 3am
I feel you @hot cairn
I spent some good times in Caesar Palace π
LVCC this year was nice tbh
all in one big area
getting there sucks though
and the food is shit & expensive
they also did weird batch-CC processing at the foodcourt
so all charges showed up monday after-con
wow, that weird food used to be good and cheap as far as I remember
Vegas is super expensive now
its like $30/meal
and fun room inspections looking for travel routers and usb drives
Food used to be great and cheap so people wouldn't leave the casino π
Casino food is meh
honestly t he only place i like in Vegas is Texas De Brazil
Brazillian steakhouse
only $60/person
I like the Wynn restaurants
which for all you can eat steak, isnt bad
also the restaurants inside the Venetian aren't bad
the LVCC aint near shit though
there is a nice little quick middle eastern restaurant I liked
ate there often actually. i can attest to this statement
also I would take uber to other parts of vegas too
big portions also
lvcc?
oh never been there
conferences I've been to have mostly been at hotels, sometimes multiple hotels
oh I would've definitely stayed at the Wynn
sound like the name is more Spanish than Portuguese, De Brazil is Spanish, Portuguese should be Do Brazil π
i wanted to eat at the eiffel tower restaurant in vegas but ran out of time when i was there
C'est la vie, c'est francais maintenant
(its french now)
I understood, I speak a bit of French π
for the rest π
i speak more french then i want to
Whats funny is like
I studied French for a year before I had to drop out because of work issues
i can understand French-French folk better then quebecois-french folk
tabernac
misspelled smh
but I speak spanish, italian and a bit of catalan so that helps me with the french π
tabarnak

I love languages, I speak a bunch, I guess I have a knack for languages
Greek & French are the 2 i want to learn
learn greek so you can read the odyssey / illiad in the original greek
I had to work in Toulose, my French is awful. But it's was a fantastic city, great food
When I was a teenager I learn some classical Greek, then I pick up some Greek when I was in Greece, just the basic stuff.
French food and wine are great
my mum did classics @blazing granite , it's a really valuable degree. She can turn her hand to any europen language
depends on the region of course and not all the food, but as average you won't be disappointed
I learn Latin too π
@candid light not a fan of snails and frogs at all π but French food is so much more than that
amazing cheeses too
I love the amount of time they spend on eating
that's average in Europe, it's not only France
Can't seems like its registered to mobo
England is half an hour and back at it @blazing granite
i love a good croque monsieur, eclair and the various quiches
I know I lived in London π
Ah I feel sad and happy at the same time
I left London 2yrs back, great learning experience, but killer of a work life balance @blazing granite
Europe, almost everything, Polynesia, a lot of Asia, Africa, and American continent, but number of cities or countries I lost count
I haven't been to Australia and NZ I'd love to go some day
Emma
oh k
Elizabethhhhhhhhhhhh
Whatβs upppp?
Stuck in Argentina but I'll survive π
Just finished a game that was almost perfect so I'm happy yet sad it's finished
Just finished a stream on a high note, some Windows 3.11 and Encarta 94β lol
Haha totally fair, and yea have friends who are there as well
Why?
so I can listen to a lady from 1994 with a crude gif animation show me how CDs work because its fun and nostalgic
Argentina looks beutiful, they have a Welsh town there lol
also this used to be our Wikipedia more or less lol
Wasn't that libraries before the advent of the internet
Absolutely, but this was the age of multimedia, a whole bookshelf in one CD. OMG!
I come here to spent my mum's birthday with her, and to check on my father health, but he's not doing so well so I have to stick around here
Totally fair, sorry to hear about your pop but glad youβre able to spend some time with him
the biggest welsh community outside Wales actually π
I'm in a simlar situation, my dad isn't well, so I've moved back. Wish you're dad all the best, I know it's hard mate
Brazil and Japan have a somewhat similar link
in which way Brazil and Japan are similar? π
Mass immagration of Japanese citizens to Brazil
I'm struggling to find the link between Brazil and Japan lol
basic health he's OK, but he started to show signs of dementia
There is a very large amount of Japanese expats and their decendants in Brazil
and somewhat reciprocal, thereβs Brazilians in Japan. Thereβs a reason South America and similar music is seen in Japan a disproportionate amount
@blazing granite my dad has dementia, and there's only me in the country. It's hard

work is hard, explaining time off
I didn't know, Argentina received some Japanese migration long time ago, when I was a child the best dry cleaners where actually Japanese. Nowadays there are a lot of Chinese people and they have supermarkets
mhmm, thereβs massive historical reasons for a lot of this
hi everyone. nice to meet u. I am newbie
Why, most Chinese people I've met and talked with said they don't usually like to travel or move
actually there is a little Chinatown in Buenos Aires
hey im bobs son olgan
What tech do you want to hack?

China has really bought into the UK, they have there own airport in Manchester
what tech is really great for hack?
hey im logan

Sign up to the website
Ew
I have already signed up
There was a massive immagration campaign of Japanese folks to Brazil in the 20s or so
china is everywhere , even in Moscow
1920's or 2020's
next step?
Join the pre-security path π
profit??
@sinful moon wasn't that the same time the nazi were setting up shop lol
lol
my dad is a riss
1920 I guess because of the war
Itβs supposedly where many Nazis settled in the post war era to avoid extradition, but that didnβt last long
hey im logan
π
@blazing granite did many Germans settle after the war?
bro wtf are you saying
Yes, but some had to answer for war crimes, such as the individuals who escaped to Brazil and beyond
fyi you a rizzlr
boys from brazil lol
vast majority got amnesty
Like Josef Mengele, he actually lived and died in Brazil Sao Pablo if I'm not mistaken
Doesnβt suprise me one bit
I donβt think Brazil had their extradition treaties signed and etc then
aoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Eichmann wasn't so lucky
aooooooo
and then?
You good?
Have you finished it?
You have a somewhat decent role, donβt get banned lol.
after an a bit before too, there is a place call villa belgrano that was built by Germans, the have one of the most authentic Oktoberfest outside Germany
i am installing fedora
it looks the same as debian for some reason
yup
debian apt fedora dnf
Because there is no βlookβ to Linux DEs by default, youβre likely too used to themed releases
I think I've seen that village @blazing granite it looked beautiful
wat
i wasn sooooooooooo rizz
man fuck this shit
i been spending far too long on "complete beginner" pathway (even tho that's eseentially wat i am)
i think imma stop halfway and move to jr. pentesting
check the roadman https://tryhackme.com/hacktivities
As long as youβre ready sure, but you should be able to breeze through that path like nothing
Not really a βgiving upβ kinda thing
or worthy of such
If you are eager and do not dedicate time to learning, you will end up learning less than if you do it calmly and with structure.
ik but like... there's just a horrendously huge amount of topics to look at in the pathway
so im basically just experiencing conflicting thoughts
How so?
I can`t upload file. how to do it?
They all tie together into core infosec concerns
i mean.... yeh
@amber laurel stop crying and put the effort in mate
Adolf Eichmann was living in Argentina with a false identity. The Israeli Secret Service found out, they captured him and brought him back to Israel for trial
Sounds about right yep
I can see "pre security", "introduction to Cyber Security" etc
Yes those are the βpathsβ you can take
alr
appreciate the motivation guys
Aye you're experienced with windows machines right?
@blazing granite read the book when I was at college, don't mess with mossad
Sure, np, good luck and it does get more interesting but important to get the basics down first
braking them for sure π
as we are speaking Matt's machine has BSODed
should I follow these step?
I live in Israel so I know π
btw are u bot?
lol
π€
man fuck you that one sleepy
you mean you are robot?
would you really ask a bot if theyβre a bot? You wouldnβt get an affirmation lol
?
are you a human?
Yes I am a real human bean, I solve CAPTCHA with AI like most normal human beans, itβs a fine situation
god v gbjdxgbfjdkshrf
Are you okay?
AI is better at captchas than me
@blazing granite Isreal gets a lot of hate, but the six day war, what a win
Gotta say Jabba, you are infinitely less intimidating without your snake/lizard avatar lol
I think itβs a positive change even if the avatar isnβt as cool
cdfniftdnffdjdfjdfnvvbvufhfnfrrnfvgffgdfjdgxjbxtabsgsasmaskdsgshsnhgedddhduhdtdhrgfnxccbdfbglon,bmvcmdfhsfvmn vjm cdfbsgmvhbnerkgvbhndkgn34krf43wujrk43hdjksgthekjghertiu4hdku4645u5473846372jn1026vndsjrt4ui56uy336fh36r7t47647231t43e62g1e4g32egewf3mekhlfjirfyutjkdefduetjkgfurjriof7iofgu979ytiy8t5o458486176342763278468234gbr7ut4ryfrd8658757
are you okay?
bah I had hoped for base64 for like two seconds, but no luck
π
:mute: tokerj0k3r#0 has been muted.
...that's Juun π
and the human also fails
Nothing wrong wrong with Juun either, they just often school me on something I should have known better about and more
hehehe
maybe your next username should be Jabba Chill π
Oxymoron, Johnny Bravo is already chill, wach-cha
lol nice tho
That's what I thought the first time I read the username. I wasn't far off then π
I wish I was looking like Johnny Bravo
lol I sure donβt, not sure if Iβd enjoy that as a guy either but lol
indeed
If I had to be a guy in classic Cartoon Network universe it would be Samauri Jack lol
Did you rewatch the entire cartoon network after you became a adult or you remember all that from your childhood
Astroboy was pretty cool π
lol mostly childhood, plenty I watched as an adult as well such as Powerpuff Girls
Mojo
Astro-boy Omega Factor on GBA is 10/10, please play it c:
Itβs by Treasure, the Gunstar Heroes people
Literally one of the best games on the console
kb or controller or psp
jojo
Controller or PSP
You ever tried emulating GBA on other consoles
reading about GBA emulation on a PSP
n64 is pretty stable
One of my favorite villians
xmen was my favourite cartoon of the 90s
Iβve done it extensively, it works alright but not very accurate. PSP is getting up there in years and we have better emulation solutions on PC or other platforms
Literally a 20 year old handheld
Can you guys see what I am playing through my profile?
at the time tho it was mind blowing to play the compeditorβs βlast genβ handheld on Sony hardware
PSP is quite mindblowing in contrast to the things available at th etime
xmen had a cartoon?
Yes, it was pretty great but not groundbreaking
just wait, you gotta hear the freaking intro
xmen or psp
@buoyant tree seriously, it was awesome
X-Men, also known as X-Men: The Animated Series, is an American-Canadian animated television series which debuted on October 31, 1992, in the United States on the Fox Network as part of its Fox Kids Saturday morning lineup. X-Men was Marvel Comics' second attempt at an animated X-Men TV series after the pilot X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men was not pi...
the story was more like an adult storyline
Robotech π
Robtech was before my time
Right up there with this shit: https://youtu.be/shu8CTGgTM0
Re-live the epic guitar-rift filled intro of the Spider-Man: The Animated Series (1994) in HD.
Elizabeth knows π
The first cross over episode I ever watched, or cross over anything, was Spider-Man meeting the X-Men on TV lol
oh man this is sick
Mazinger Z too
I havenβt seen Macross or Marzinger Z but Macross is super high on my list
aren't they different universes
BraveStarr was mine and my brother's favourite
Iβve seen Space Battleship Yamato and Gundam 79 and loved them tho
no theyβre both marvel
glad you enjoy the Spiderman 94 intro tho, itβs freaking rad
yeah but marvel does have a lot of IP's under thier name
Bucky o hare
boltron I didn't like that much
this may be the few places where "rad" is actually applicable
uh what
Marvel used to be good back in the day
Indeed
just slop now
Their comics arenβt the same these days
Don't they have like 200 superhero teams under thier belt in comics
and if so why didn't the x-men come in Endgame to help the avengers
X-Men during Chris Claremontβs run from 1975-1991 is just 10/10, like no complaints
Thundercats, and Silver Hawks
I had an absolute blast reading them all
Thudercats is up there with He-Man
I envy you having read so many comics
Yeah it was easily hundreds lol
He-Man and She-Ra
0 regrets tho
I've only read like one comic yet and enjoyed it but I don't really have time to dedicate to comics due to all the other media I'm exploring in my free time
If Iβm being honest, my favorite creator run in comics ever
MASK was a decent cartoon aswell
But not many who would be willing to do like a nearly 30 year gig on a comic
Do you collect physical comics?
I used to, not anymore. And besides it was Trade Paperbacks and Graphic Novels I collected
loose comics are a bit of a pain, but my dad had a ton of them
what's the difference between graphic novels and comics
I'm moving to ebooks, even for my learning books. I have cupboards full of books
Have you watch the new Deadpool
I collect digital ones
@blazing granite Time to flex
fancy and artsy, fartsy. But nah thatβs not entirely true. Basically the were designed for a long format initially, vs trade paper backs which are just collections of single comics
@eternal timber deadpool seems the exception, I love Ryan Reynolds
No looking back for me personally, freaking love my ebook reader + tablet (for comics)
Oh k like Batman Year one's a collection
Yes thatβs a Trade Paper Back
Yeah I'm actually considering buying Batman year one
itβs formatted as if itβs a graphic novel but thatβs just how these things play out
How good is it for a first collect
Difference between trade paperback and graphic novel
Iβve explained it several times above π
I have loads of both
TPB is a collection of comics, Graphic Novel was designed to be long form
Didn't really understand lemme google
Ohhhhhhhhh
I just said it again lol
Yeah now I understood
Whatever bruh.
Hello everyone!
Also do you read comics on your kobo or ipad?
@blazing granite I think after years of study you pick up a lot. I just found after the last move how difficult having so many was
aye mind sending me a pic now that you're in Argentina of a few shelves of books ya got
Wanna see your at-home library
iPad, I donβt have a color Kobo yet, but Iβd still probably read them on iPad
If I read more manga that would be reversed
aren't manga and comics the same but just japanese
Doing horrible.
Manga are 97% in black and white
What about you?
I love physical books, but move to digital long time ago because it cost so much to ship books
so manga are far easier to display on eink devices
Also Manga are read right to left correct?
Hello bebe.
yes
Just like the Japanese language
Can you see what game I am playing through my profile?
(for the most part)
I am trying to disable it but Discord isn't helping.
Yes youβre playing LoL, you can disable it
I tried like 30 times, it just reconnects automatically.
Just use browser discord
I also want to flex my music knowledge.
@blazing granite same thinking, I love holding a book, but the hold of the collection is a pain when you have to move. I used to keep a huge section of my books at my parents but that's not going to be possilbe in the future
In my apartment here I have a little bit, the rest are distributed some in my mum's house and some in my sister apartment
Turn off whatever app you have LoL on in the connections tab im p sure
