Temple of Doom is often mocked, got deserved retrospective praise, but yeah still has some faults like the lack of agency for the “Indy” girl

Yeah she is just kind of annoying and constantly shrieking, I think she was supposed to play a lot more of the comic relief than Shout Round was supposed to. May have been better in his wheel house but idk
But with him already being Asian it wouldn’t have hit with western audiences the same, also poor accuracy on things such as the cuisine and etc doesn’t help. The gross out scene with the Monkey Brains is just silly

It’s just wild for me to have those vibes for a lot of 90s and 00s movies I grew up with as well
whew 90s movies are very insensitive to racial and geopolitical vibes lol
and the racy humor there is pushed to extents we would not see today lol
It’s just funny too because I remember how multicultural and even “post history” the 90s were supposed to be. Cold war is over now, no more history now right? It’s just all us embracing via international commerce right?

yee I think thats the way I'm going to go. I initially went into it with that in mind, and then saw the quickstart to just run the curl command, but i've just downloaded the .sh now and stored that way. Will just nc it over for anything I want to use it on (:
