UFW is Uncomplicated FireWall, you also have GUFW if you're not just in CLI, and in a GUI environment.

I had a UFW rule to allow one of my computers to ssh into it to do updates and such (Not anymore, cronjobs FTW) but once my IP's changed, I couldn't remote into that raspberry pi anymore. Had to Unplug it from where it was, and plug into a monitor for me to fix the UFW

yeah nmaps normal speed is not very fast when scanning 65 535 ports

either use a different higher speed timing

like -T4 or -T5

or increase the min rate

generally fine to do this in ctf settings

but for real life engagements like pentesting or red teaming being more quiet is often better
