First and last screen seems to be because the install is not in the PATH variable, as for the second, it's probably not installed properly. I suggest you grab the installer directly from within your os (some sites automatically choose the installer file based on os), or use the built in package manager for your os to install burp

if you've never used linux before, I recommend use it on a vm for a bit and even when you commit to a bare metal installation I recomend dual boot, don't delete w11, if you have an issue on Linux and you can't boot you always have win11 to reseach the issue on your linux

Running from PS -> corrupts the data written to fb.png
Running from bash -> saves the data fine written to fb.png

Powershell moment.

Basically, pipes in powershell are weak are only able to handle string stuff

So it trys to convert the image data into a string array

While this will work just fine with any kind of text, it is virtually guaranteed to corrupt any binary data. With the default text encoding you get a doubling of the original bytes and a bunch of new 0x0D bytes, too. The corruption fundamentally happens when the data is split into a string array.
