Net+, Sec+ took about 4-6 weeks each if you're studying at a relatively average pace, maybe an extra month if you've never done performance-based questions. Based on the description of CASP+ it seems more like a mix of CISSP and OSCP, which was more like six months.

How did you get CASP+ for $50?

Well while it takes you to learn and teach the others and run into the issue you're wasting valuable time where you can progress in something else, if you're explaining something for 6 people and it derails for 15 minutes cause there's an error you just wasted 15x6 minutes aka 1 hour and 30 minutes of valuable/productive time which could have gone to other projects

I just had a job interview yesterday, so I'd like to speak on this and say that for the role I was interviewing for, Tier 2 Tech Support role, it would have probably been a flashy thing to mention. The thing is, the interviewers won't ask you about your blog or your projects directly, but they are amazing if you can sneak them in to your dialog. They're something you can anchor the conversation around. My projects allow me to stand out and be unique in that sense. Certificates can as well. It kind of depends on the size of the company and the title you're applying for. Hope this helps.

It also depends, right, because the person I spoke with was a non-technical HR person, so that might have really caught their attention. Maybe to the technical interview, I'd want to highlight something else. It's kind of like a chess game.

I am trying to run a grep command to read a group of dotnet projects and when it finds a line it creates a new line in a log file with the found line and line number.

grep -r -i -n --include="*.config" "data source=" | sort | uniq > connectionstrings.txt

The problem is for some reason on windows it doesn't create a new line in connectionstrings.txt it ends up a hot mess.

I have tested a similar command on my mac and the output has been great at splitting up the lines. What gives?

u have to clearly specify that the software you are uploading is malware created for educational and research purposes

and maybe say u made it as a part of an assignment at uni in the readme or smth
