Hi guys I have an interesting question which I forgot to ask a while back

last year I went on holiday to India, and when I stayed at my family's home in India (connectd to their wifi)..someone managed to hack into my instagram account and was sending rude messages to my followers the same time I was speaking to them. Now the funny thing is, is that I couldn't see the messages being sent from my acct, but the people I talking to could see it. One of my friends even hinted that the person who hacked me was using a computer, as the first message was lower case (the first message sent from phones usually have upper case). Could anyone please shed some light on this?

Unironically tho, I would probably lead with something like this. If they're kind and aren't wasting my time I'd thank them. Not very classy to ask but as long as they're polite.
