Dante's gameplay is just absolute destruction of the enemies plus some taunting here and there, where vergil's is more focused on a 'swordsman' style, and bc he doesn't use guns you're limited to the mirrage edge swords which are not so good for style in my oppinion.

yeah. I played a loooooooot of DMC3 'back in the day' as Dante main but you couldnt also switch styles at will in that game, haha. Was on a mission by mission basis. And now im older and slower, Dante is intense

DMC3 was one of the first games i played on Ps2, it brings a lot of good memories ... I think the style switch first came out as mod for the PC version, having to switch styles mid game is a real pain for real, also remembering what enemies comes next in the level so that you choose the right weapons/swords etc ...
