We aren't implying that you are going to say anything on those lines, it's a preventative measure in that we are blanket banning the entire topic so that it does not have to get to that point. When a topic is banned, it means that it is not allowed at all.

You can see that nobody was warned and I can assure you that the moderator invovled didn't put all the users involved under a microsope. All they did was ask that the topic didn't continue and then move on with their day.

General idea to keep in mind is, its probably not allowed past the intended public uses e.g. browsing their website - atleast unless you have proper (prefereablly written/signed ) permission

Pretty much hacking anything is illegal if it includes computers of others without permission. Also for example reversing programs can be against a companys ToS so it isnt just about other computers. If in doubt dont do it. Get a job in the field or try your luck on bug bounties its not worth risking going to jail for if you can do it legally
