The room creator controls the writeups, not mods -- if you politely ask them they might be able to do it, or you can advertise your walkthrough on the subreddit r/tryhackme which will let people watch it 🙂

@tribal warren I am not arguing, trying to see how it is not ethical. Hydra can be used as a DoS, just need to lock someone out of their computer and you have just DoS them. Ransomware can be looked at as a DoS. WiFi hacking is a DoS for the first few minutes before you receive the 4 way handshake, which is exactly what is happening with a Ring doorbell, a deauthentication attack, thus allowing a user to receive the 4 way handshake and then using a wordlist to crack that handshake.

@tribal warren so when I use hydra, that is an accident? That is like saying I accidentally received credit card information while using SQLMAP. If I was using LOIC and sending it at a router that is a DoS, straight up no other reason for it. Deauthenticating something and showing how the IoT can be taken over in a couple seconds without ever being on a network is showing how badly built these devices are and how scary it can be if someone knows

I have started a new series on my youtube channel called Pop Pop Pop Another Server Drop where I go through some CTFs and explain how the compromise happened, why we use particular commands, etc. I think this method is a great way to teach hacking fundemantals and the first video is on Linux Privilege Escalation.
