The bug occurs because rooms aren't actually deleted -- they're just set to deleted and become inaccessible. You could still use the manage link to go in and edit them, meaning you just deleted the task, or set the VM to none

Buuuuuuut, I can't set the VM to none anymore

Have a look at Task 1. Follow the instructions there.
Then when it tells you to access the machine (and only then), go to the domain name that it tells you to go to -- not the machine IP

When the points from a room is updated, everyone who completes the room after the points were changed gets less

Or more depending on what the points per question was updated to

As well as that, CTFs give more than walkthroughs so if a room is changed from a CTF to a walkthrough (I’m not sure what it’s called now), the points don’t get removed from all players who completed the room before it was changed

Hey crew, not sure if this is reported somewhere .. but found an interesting bug answering questions (windows chrome) - in answers space and special characters allow additional junk characters to be added to the end of an answer and still be marked as correct.

Example from the windows fundamentals 2 room. (I have not tested in other rooms yet, but seems like it's likely to be site wide from the basic behavior)

I had this exact same problem with the attackbox; I was finally able to answer the question just now by using the exact same sqlmap flags from my own computer via the openvpn, that I had been trying to use on the attackbox. I think the problem is the attackbox has sqlmap 1.2.4 stable and it should be upgraded to 1.5.4 stable.

Why do my streaks keep getting arbitrarily reset? I just set up two rooms to work on one after the other. On the first room I answered a question and it went to a 10 day streak. Then ~15 minutes later I went to a diff room for a moment because I wanted to set it up for later before I forget (Nessus) and on completing an item it said I have a 1day streak! Now I reload the previous room just to see and I am back to 1day there also. This is not the first time this has happened but every time it is more frustrating!

it's a known thing, it's because the browsers try to remember the states (input contents, if things are selected etc.) and when you go back, they will try to put them back to their previous state without recovering the full website state (so even though the checkbox was checked, it won't recover the same room list and the code will just fetch the full list)

Hi, I have an issue when I try to access full screen attack box, would be better discussed by DM due to sensitive data

I believe I have found a bug relating to both the "Attack Box" and the Internal room of the Offensive Pentesting Path.
I was unable to use hydra to crack the Jenkins password, would always return false positives. Repeating the exact same commands (different filepaths for wordlists) on the Kali Linux box provided worked as intended.

steps to reproduce:
vim /etc/hosts
[target machine ip]  internal.thm

note, any port for tunnel can be used, I just used 1234 for simplicity and to avoid using 8080 (since thats what the default proxy for burp is)
ssl -L 1234:172.17.0.2:8080 [e-mail]
password: [Redacted for spoilers, can DM]

going to localhost:1234 reveals login for jenkins, which confirms the tunnel worked
tried to log in and intercepted it with burp to get the info for hydra
images show the commands for hydra on both machines, The attackbox has /login/j_acegi_security check as per recommendation by a user in the discord, but was also attempted with just /j_acegi_security_check to be identical to the kali attempt

One provides false possitives, the other provides the right answer. Since the exact same commands yield different results I am not sure if it a misunderstanding on my part of the setup of the attack box or if it is indeed a bug.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post, but I am in the uploadvulns room, it says to visit overwrite.uploadvulns.thm from the VM as first step but the browser in the VM says "Hmm we're having trouble finding that site." This is my first room so not sure if I missed something.

You'll have to add overwrite.uploadvulns.thm to the hosts file.
To do this, then open up the hosts file as root sudo nano /etc/hosts file and add this following line to the bottom10.10.145.245 overwrite.uploadvulns.thm
Replace that ip with the ip of the spawned machine. For subsequent tasks, you'll have to similarly other hostnames to that file. You can simply append the new hostname to that same line seperated by a space.

This is happening with me as well.
For better connectivity, geo-location wise, I need an IN-* server VPN pack
But currently, if I try to download my VPN pack for IN-Regular-1.
The configuration file I get contains empty <cert> blocks
I have already reported this, just posting again as I am unsure about pinging any one of the busy THM staffs.
And at the end, I have to use some other server, giving me higher ping durations

I guess the streak system is broken, few days ago i have 0 streaks but i have two tabs opened and when i answered one question i got 1 streak which is normal but when i answered a second question i got a notification of 2 streaks, i thought maybe it was accidental or i already have 1 streak. But today i open thm after 3,4 days and i have 0 streaks. there was already 3,4 opened tabs on my browser from different rooms. So i did a network room and i got one streak and when i was doing another room and i answered the first question i got a 3 streak notification. I've recently created an account and when I try to switch servers and download the openvpn config file it keeps redirecting me to a 404 page.
The only server that I've been able to download the openvpn config file from was the US one. But when I download it, the file does not have any content in it.

I've tried to switch servers/regenerating the config file multiple time with no success.

Am I doing something wrong?

So I think I broke the 7 Day Streak badge, I wasn't able to sit down to do anything properly on my 7th day so I used the 1 day streak freeze ticket. Hi, I have an issue with some of the rooms that load a mp4 and some javascript. I'm behind a VPN which block tracking and certain dns. So The room won't load. Example: https://tryhackme.com/room/vulnversity

Would it be possible to make the rooms "simple" without loading mp4, autoplay etc? Rooms that embed youtube just work fine.

I am working on Metasploit: Exploitation room Task: 2 , try to find an smb user password but given password file (/usr/share/wordlists/MetasploitRoom/MetasploitWordlist.txt) is unable to find password, how can I go on, trying another password file like rockyou.txt ??

Besides, it states that "please download the wordlist by clicking the Download Task Files button to the right" , good! but where is this button I could not find ??

Hi. I’m having problems using the active machines on my iPad and Mac computer: several times they wouldn’t work so I had to use a small window pc. Now on the Windows Fundamentals 1 not even my windows pc seems to work: I cannot click/write text where I should and it’s super annoying. It also works extremely slow probably because it depends on my internet connection. It’s so frustrating that makes me want to abandon the whole process also because the questions and answers to give are often non meaningful. Is this fixable or are there actually good products to educate myself on this subject that don’t imply buggy interfaces? Thank you

On the https://tryhackme.com/messages page, if you paste the users full username (Or type it out completely), it doesn't allow you to select it to actually add the person to the message - The selection option only appears if a partial name is entered.
