Hello! I'm trying to use the Machine in the Linux Fundamentals Part 1 room and it does not bring up anything on the screen. The machine loads, but then the screen is blank. I tried in the windows room as well and its the same. The attackbox works fine but the machines do not. I've done all basic troubleshooting steps (cleared cache/cookies, used a different browser, disabled exts etc) with no success. I submitted a ticket but wanted to keep working today so thought i'd reach out here. Any ideas? - also, not sure if this has anything to do with it, but the card that appears says "Target Machine Information" instead of "Active Machine Information", which is shown in the tasks screenshot

If you're using Windows OS you should have RDP tool pre-isntalled but be aware that you need to be connected to THM network beforehand 🙂

I'm not sure if this is the intended functionality, but based on the flow and UI it seems like a bug. I was expecting to have a card of the exact room to share but it only shares the THM general website card

After completeing a room there is a congratulatory modal, then a modal that allows for sharing to socials - i've only tried this with linkedIn and it is always the same result
first image is the room completion and share with the expected card - second is from the linkedIn platform only showing the generic tryhackme.com card. Am i misunderstanding the intent with this workflow?
If I am then i guess this is better suited for suggestions/feedback to have room specific cards to share

Don’t know if any ongoing issues but Network rooms in general we had a few issues in the past. Some VPN, various Attackbox issues with how it joins these networks, some infra, some due to attackbox upgrades. We actually want to do a lot more network rooms and there is work ongoing to design and build out this infrastructure instead of the “special” way network rooms have been done in the past.

Any question that requires a user to input an underscore using the new UI is impossible to complete without following the below steps:

This problem can be avoided by directly copy-pasting the answer into the field.
This problem can be avoided by entering in the plaintext answer and then entering in the underlines afterwards.

How to cause this bug: When entering in an answer, any answer that would require inputting an underscore (E.G: example_answer_schema), the underscore will completely fail to input unless a standard character is placed ahead of it (E.G: enter in the answer as exampleanswerschema and then input the underscores afterwards.)

I believe this is a bug. When clicking on the StartMachine button in the Summit room, no VM machine pops up after giving it some time, clearing cache, terminating/restarting machine. I have been able to deploy machines in the browser in other rooms without issues.

What is going on today I have just tried to complete a room and the instance died on me 6 times with at least 2 of them dying when the timer for the machine to boot reached 100% and the split screen along with the instance just terminated. One of the times the picutre tells it all.

Hey, not sure if this is a browser error on my local machine or not (currently testing that).

If I browse to tryhackme.com I just receive the nginx landing page, looks like it isn't redirecting the URL correctly. Tested on mobile, Chrome and Edge.

If I've previously browsed to tryhackme it works just fine, for example, if I specify https://tryhackme.com/ and then try tryhackme.com it work fine.

I hope I'm explaining that correctly...

EDIT: Long story short, I think you may need to look at DNS 🙂 .

Evening! Not sure if bug or not. I'm currently doing the XSS playground room, when I deploy the room instead of the normal 10.x.x.x range I get a public IP. This works and gives access for about 5 minutes or so before disconnecting the session. Tried terminating and redeploying the session.
