Not sure if it's site bug or a room bug. Under the Network services room, when starting the machine under task 6 enumerating telnet, if the screen is "too small" a warning pops up, it then fails to start the correct machine. It starts FTPFINAL rather than POLOTELNET. This issue does not occur when the screen is at a regular size.

Hi, maybe two months back I reported the room AOC2023 for taking up a lot of ram and lagging, then freezes but nothing changed. I am using firefox, so i tried to switch to Edge but after a few minutes the site crash and Edge says: Out of memory. In firefox the tab just freeze with about 5GB of ram. I am curently at Task 19 [Day 13]. Could you please look into it? I really would like to finish it. Thank you.

RAM is the least of the problems. The issue is that it freezes and then crashes in Edge, and in Firefox, it just freezes and does nothing. I don't have any issues with other rooms. It's only this one that is acting up like this. And it doesn't matter whether I try it on Windows, Linux, MacOS or different computer, the problem persists.

For the CI/CD network, I can download the VPN, but regenerating does not create a different VPN configuration
I suggest you open a support ticket with clear and complete documentation of the issue
NB: you create a support ticket by clicking the THM cloud bubble at the bottom right of each THM web page

I'm not sure if this is a bug of some sort, I assume it is to save server resources of the THM machines but I launched a machine, it has been like 10 minutes and while working on it, I get disconnected with the message that it has been stopped to save resources.

This is a bit disturbing considering it's day 4 that keeps happening on first attempt to start a virtual machine, second attempt it doesn't disconnect me but this automatic timeout has to be fixed, I'm always in the middle of doing a task when suddenly the machine gets completely stopped to save resources.

EDIT: It happened again after second start of a VM, not even 5 minutes had passed before my connection was stopped again...

I'm noticing a problem on some rooms. On the latest Kali version, using Firefox, when I have a room open in noticing the tab's RAM usage will randomly spike upwards of 2 GB and will eventually hang while the GC cleans everything up.

The tab with the room active will also use a lot of CPU without doing anything.

The room in currently noticing this on is Networking Core Protocols. I have noticed this behavior in other rooms as well

I'm able to reproduce this quite well by changing from another tab to the tab with the room. I have a snapshot of the memory usage from FF if that's wanted

I haven't noticed the issue on other websites. I did notice when taking a memory snapshot that most of the usage was being blamed on the document. Maybe something is adding a bunch of hidden elements to the page? As stated, if I switch to another tab memory usage and cpu drop, but as soon as I open the tab with the room memory allocation continues to go up, similar to a memory leak, until the GC halts the entire tab.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this before. The learning scheduler is misleading. If you set the scheduler to 1hr per day it will display a date for 2 years in the future. However it does not state the year on the initial screen. for example i'm following the SOC 2 path and I want to quickly see how fast I can finish it with X amount of time. As I'm reducing the time I notice that with 1 hour a day I should finish on 26/02 and with 2 hours a day I would finish on 30/06. It does not mention that with 2 hours a day I would finish in 2025 and with 1 hour in 2026.

I've been having similar issues. I am in UTC -6 and used to do rooms at 11pm, but noticed that it wasn't showing up for the current day any longer. Even now at 11am, I just answered a question and it shows as being completed on Monday. Didn't notice this issue until some of the recent site changes.

If it isn't visible in the tracker means it is either defaulting to a single time zone or syncing with device's system time without giving users option to override it, not much you can do besides contacting support but you can open developer's console to see how app interacts with your system time, because there might be some visible API or network request that shows what time zone is being recorded

I believe to have found a bug (or 2, perhaps) concerning the certificate of the security 101 Path [but I don't know if this applies only to this specific path] ;
The Text falsely congratulates me on completing this Path (I haven't) with a progress of 97%. I am rightfully unable to download a certificate, despite the text saying otherwise.
The possibly 2nd bug might correlate to the first one, is the upcoming achievement/badge - I already own this and a few upcoming badges... (see image)

I tried reloading the page and using a different tab, but the bug persists [using Opera GX and Firefox]. It only occured after i completed 2 rooms just now and it was fine before that.

When you use the GUI, it routes all your traffic through the VPN, where as the VPN isn't meant for that sort of connect, so it will refuse data as it can't send it.

There is an option to disable that, but it's so much more easier (and conveniant) to CLI it.

Advent of Cyber 2023 is one of the worst rooms, it gets laggy fast, often fully frozen after 2 minutes for me and others.
Try going to AoC 2023 and looking at the moving image in task 1, if it freezes sometimes/gets laggy, we probably have the same issue, have not heard back anything from THM about fixing it though :/.

Hi, I'm having an issue starting VM's. I'm receiving the error "You can only deploy a maximum of 3 machines at a time." when I click to start the 3rd machine. Specifically, I started an attack box, and am trying to start the Yin and Yang boxes, and that's when this error happens on the 3rd box.

Tried logging out and back in. Is there another way to check if an old VM is stuck and still on that could be causing this?

Hello! I would like to report something. So, I started doing the tasks from Advent of Cyber 2019, and every task has a supporting material. I seem to be having an issue where Enumeration & Brute Force room is stuck at 88% when looking at My Learning for the Web Application Pentesting pathway. I've cleared the cache on multiple computers and still seeing it.. Is there something I'm missing? The room is showing 100% and I've reset it 4 times already.

I’m having an issue with my VM. When I try to use it, I get a "Parsing-ERROR" message. I’ve already tried logging out and logging back in, but it didn’t solve the problem.

I also made sure that no other VMs are running, but the error persists. Has anyone encountered this issue before or knows how to fix it?

I did. It was in all the window and AD fundamentals. I also installed the openvpn and have it connected. I verified by going to the 10.10.10.0? Ip address THM links to verify. On Access it also says I'm connected

Nope, still having issues. VPN is connected, but can't access the machine via browsers per the room that I'm doing. I've been having alot of intermittant connectivity issues since 2 days ago to THM. Everything else is working fine

Your MTU was set too high, so the packets being sent we're being split up in to smaller packets, and this was fragmenting them

To put it in simpler terms, The MTU was set to 1500.

Imagine you need to send a very long letter, but it's too big for an envelope, so you have to split it up in to more envelopes, and since it's being split up, there is a chance some letters don't arrive, or the arrive late, or all the letters arrive, however they're not in order.

And since it's sent over the network in multiple packets (envelope) the computer assembles them again, and some may be missing.
