That won't change the server.

Depends on your nmap scan & firewalling takes place for infrastructure such as the VPN servers. As connectivity requires more then just poking a port (i.e. certificates/encryption, etc) nmap might find it a bit funky

#

Try to avoid nmaping THM infrastructure that is outside of the bug bounty programme though please

#

I'd expect it to be marked as filtered > closed although O.o

The learning rooms used to have the sections separated in boxes that you clicked to open and I liked that format.

I have resolved issue. I had problem with my kali instance. I have manullaz configured IP of eth0 and added route to my router IP, then after that all is working. Thank you for the help. I havn't noticed that after I rebooted my machine that eth0 interfrace is down.

Has anybody else had a problem accessing room websites like Juice Shop or the Rick and Morty CTF? I recently setup kali linux on a VM and connected to the OpenVPN, but when I type the IP into the firefox search bar, it just loads indefinitely, never displaying the web pages.

I'm using OpenVPN for TryHackMe on a Kali linux vm, I can connect and access the machine. Did you try the Hint? Also the objective is to connect using Telnet over the VPN or from the attackbox to the machine that you had the option to start. No use trying to connect to the IP addresses that are listed in the screenshots btw 😉

Many boxes on here do not have web servers, so that second screenshot doesn't mean much. Also, it would likely be http, not https, even if the box did have a web server. Generally speaking, you need/want to do an nmap scan on the box you deploy.

Alright, my vpn looks fine. I managed to lauch sysmon and the config file from the folder on the desktop from the target machine

So I should be fine for Sysmon room. However, regarding the "Sysinternals" room, according to the task #3 we need to reach the internet in order to use sysinternals Live

Neither Method 1 - Run tool from command line nor Method 2 - Run tool from a mapped drive work for me because it says "cannot find the network path"

When I follow all the steps from Task#3, It still fails at the end

You need to map the USB controller from your host to your vm to have full control of the usb device. Or if you just want to use a wifi network you can add a bridged network in your vmware networks to the wifi ethernet adapter on the host. In the latter you'll need to setup all the wifi settings on the host though.

You do not need to forward any ports.
IDK what you mean by multihop VPN but that's not required either.
Run the VPN in Kali and only in Kali.

the streak counter needs to be fixed. I been trying to get the seven days straight badge since last month. Yesterday I completed a room and had my sixth streak. However, today it reset it to 0, This has happened to me before and I think it is because the streak starts counting once you answer a question rather than start counting at the end of that day, because, yesterday I began completing the room at 18:00 and today I login in at 18:10 and my streak is now at 0 but the day hasn't end yet.

I'm also having the same issue. After I click on the button to download my configuration file, I get redirected to the 404 page.

I switched from Windows to Ubuntu last night and now I cannot access any of the machines in TryHackMe. (I think it is a me problem due to switching OS, not a TryHackMe problem, but I am not sure how to resolve it) I could connect to them no problem on Windows.

I go to 10.10.10.10 and it says I am connected just fine, but the webpage says it is unable to load. I also cannot ping or nmap the IP.

I tried a large variety of rooms (beginner and ones that I have not completed).

I tried regenerating my openvpn file.
