i have a strange issue, i use a expressvpn, when i connect with my thm vpn and expressvpn toghether most things work well, some machines require me to disable expressvpn and that works as well, but i cannot access the internet or thm site threw my browser anymore until i turn my expressvpn back on, i have completley disabled the vpn(express) including netlock and still same. expressvpn=E thmvpn=T (E-on T-on = all good [some no machine acess]) (E-off T-on = machine access no browser) (E-off T-off = all good no machine access), to be clear i have the network lock on my expressvpn disabled

Is anyone looking into the path progress bars? I am currently enrolled in the PenTest+ path and it shows my overall path progress but for each main module within the path it no longer shows completed state, but if i click on the module the module does show as completed. It's hard to keep track of what all I have completed since I have completed modules outside of the specifc path.

Hi I am having a connection problem. I have connected the VPN ok but keep losing connection to the target machine. I have a ping running but it keeps stopping and I can wait up to 5 minutes before it starts running again. I am having this problem in several rooms, I have tried using Kali and parrot but I am getting the same results.

I dont think you can copy to or from those. I always open them and then the regular browser attack box and then ssh to it like you said.

If you are receiving a 404 error after attempting to download the OpenVPN Configuration file please try these steps:

• Press regenerate, wait 30s and then try downloading again

• Change VPN server and try downloading again

• Log out of your account and log back in.

I have a service (Apache httpd, node on various ports) running locally on a Port of my Computer.
Can other THM players access this service if they’re also in the THM OpenVPN connection?

What should I do if the target machine fails to launch? I had a session going when my computer froze on my side. It was a VM so I nuked everything (it had been buggy in other ways). When I reinstalled everything and logged back into THM I couldn't relaunch the target machine. All I get is a notification that I already launched the machine. The top of the page shows no ip info. Elsewhere in the room it shows MACHINE_IP where it previously showed the ip. It's been well over two hours so the target machine should've expired by now. Why can't I launch a new one or see the IP of the one that supposedly still exists?

I launched an attackbox and terminated it once it finished booting. then i refreshed and it let me relaunch the target machine. this is well over an hour after the target should've expired though. it would be nice if users could force a reboot or look up which machines have been assigned to them.

I was learning how to SSH on TryHackMe. They gave a username 'shiba2' (those who have gone there might know it already). So I open up Putty as they said in the Host name column I type this :

Then Putty starts and they ask me for the password and I type in the password that TryHackMe provided. You have already identified the issue. "No inline certificate" means your file is missing some lines. Nothing I can do, I am not apart of the site team sorry. Skidy has been notified and will hopefully answer when free.

Until then, the only advice I can offer is:

• Use the AttackBox for the time being if you want to complete any rooms.

• Wait an hour, regenerate your configuration file and wait 2 minutes before re-downloading again.

• Wait until the issue has been fixed.

Hey, I am having issues running ssh2john any help would be greatly appreciated.

What i have done:

Command I ran ssh2john idrsa.id_rsa > hash.txt

Error generated:

Whenever I run hashcat to crack a certain type of hash which is bcrypt for some reason I get this message and hashcat stops working;

Then I tried to run JohnTheRipper Instead of hashcat and, John worked just fine. It took a lot of time to crack It so I'm still looking for a solution to fix hashcat's problem
