you know how in windows if you go to a disk partioner program, you can right click -> shrink volume etc, and after you are done you can right click -> delete volume and it unites with the rest of the hard disk, can i do the same in linux?
i had make a 120gb partiton when i used windows but i feel like after using 50gbs worth of linux im ready to move into this os for a while. How can i remove the rest of the windows [400 gb] and unite my current linux to the rest of the drive?

I have same issue but only in chrome and only on my laptop. Firefox on laptop is fine, and chrome on my workstation loads fine too. Flushing all my browser's gibbly data bits and caches did not help.

Hi everybody. I have a problem in "Linux Fundamentals Part 2". I clicked Start Attack Box (Web Based Kali Machine). I wrote down shiba2@ipadress. And then asked me the password for shiba2. Even I write down the password correctly (pinguftw) I receive the "Permission denied. Please try again" message. I tried several times but it didn't work. I also tried with PuTTy but i also receive "Connection Time Out" error. I am stuck at Linux Part 2 and I can not going on. Can anybody help me?

Ok so I am trying to get a student discount for tryhackme but my school district doesnt use .edu emails, instead we are all just given a gmail that is under the school districts management. Hello there I'm facing problem in the room Windows PrivEsc room for the task 11 where there are having this resource to be downloaded in a local machine . As per the task I had downloaded the resource but it was not giving me the required output. They told to install python-crypto module in the task and to run the python script pwdump.py as mentioned in hyperlink. But it showed me the Import error even if I had installed the crypto module while running the script.I had googled for the same but I don't get the required stuff from that. Also the python script is written by using python2 version.

Hello! : ) Any info is super appreciated. I'm having issues with OpenVPN and my own Kali VM in vmware workstation 16.

Really I think it's just a lack of knowledge. I currently have a Kali VM in workstation 16, and have created a netcat listener, then uploaded a reverse shell to a machine (doing the vulnversity room). When I navigate to the uploaded shell, my kali VM is not catching the shell. It very well may be my script, but I'm assuming that it has something to do with the fact that I am running OpenVPN in Windows 10 on my personal machine, then using the local IP I get with ifconfig inside the Kali VM, inside of the reverse shell script.

Does anyone know how to configure things? Should I run OpenVPN within my VM, instead of inside windows 10 outside of it? Sorry if this explanation is confusing. But it would be aaaawesome to use my own Kali VM now, instead of the in browser Kali.

I did have the same problem, I stop the problems by sending the file ovpn or download the ovpn file at VM machine and then using the tun0 ip for the reverse shells

Are you using the tun0 ? If yes and not working, I think you must download the openvpn file at your VM

Hi guys, a beginner here. I wanted to ask something regarding my own wifi connection. I live at a hostel that has blocked major sites from its wifi and the LTE connection here is as bad as the wifi( i have talked to the faculty here and they are not helpful at all ). Due to this i cant deploy the rooms to try out the challenges, it just never connects. I run the ovpn file but i when i do a connect it doesn't; even typing answers into the columns doesn't work. I have tried using AnonSurf, it works at times but deploying box is just not possible. I really wanna learn this.Please suggest me a way to access them...

Hello, I am attempting to do the Linux PrivEsc Arena room but am unable to ssh to the machine. I am connected to the VPN and can successfully ping the machines IP, but when I attempt to ssh it does nothing. No password request appears and eventually the connection just times out.

Hey boys a (hopefully) quick one: just started studying cybersec with TryHackMe and loving it. I plan on partitioning my PC to get a proper Kali system going but i can't do it right away. In the meanwhile, is the "app" version of Kali for Win 10 good enough to go? I installed it and it seems to work, but it also seems to be missing a lot of packages. I worked on getting my vpn set up for 3 hours -- it ended up being the vpn server i was using. I would recommend cycling through all of the closest ones to you to find one that works

that was my issue, I'm on the east coast but the only server that worked for me was the west coast server @wise marlin

hey, um i cant seem to load tryhackme.com (tried multiple pages), i believe i cant connect to assets.tryhackme.com (probably a cloudflare issue) i tried everything from clearing cache ( even cookies), rebooting, tryna ping and etc. it just doesnt load a page in the site, weirdly enough the site loads on my phone without an issue, but it doesnt on my host and vm (PC in general), what could be the problem ?? thanks in advance

Re my original question, I have now seen that it does relate to the OpenVPN connection not completing: it was hung on "connecting". Today OpenVPN just refuses to connect (connection failed! error in red)! CORRECTION Still same error and VPN deffo working fine this time. Changed servers to EU-VIP, still same problem: "You do not have permission to access this connection. If you require access, please ask your system administrator to add you the list of allowed users, or check your system settings."

sorry for the really dumb newbie question - but im having trouble every time i try and deploy a machine - i have subscribed, so should i initially when starting a room - spin up the attack box, or select the other option for the kali linux machine - once this has started i then click on the deploy button- i then need to SSH in the terminal to the IP ?? or is that all wrong....

It appears you are using the attackbox to hack -- that's great!
Not all machines have credentials to log in, you need to read the task for instructions on what are you are to do with the machine.
Once you have deployed the attackbox, press the deploy button on the room would like to complete and read the task for further instructions on what you are to do with the machine.
