I cant seem to load hosted sites from multiple rooms with a deployed server. i.e. I am connected through openVPN, i deploy the server, i can ping the server, IP address in the browser(Firefox and chrome) address bar results in the page starting to load(title loads and some resources load) but stalls. I can create an attack machine on THM and access the site no problem..... appreciate any ideas to help me solve this.

Hey guys. I'm having trouble with OpenVPN, I'm running it through VMWare using Kali and I keep getting "TLS Error: TLS Handshake Failed" when trying to connect. I've read the documentation and it hasn't helped me, I've disabled my router firewall while trying to connect and that did nothing. I am currently running the VM using a bridged connection but NAT and Host Only didn't work for me either. Any suggestions here?

^Having errors with openvpn too here.
Worked fine until yesterday when i got disconnected repeatedly (reinitialization took some minutes then i was back in for a few minutes). Decided i should redownload the certificate and now nothing works at all :/
I used the EU-1 server previously but when i click download now i get a 404..
I then switched to EU-2 and regenerated the ca (also waited several minutes as previously suggested in this channel), downloaded the file but when run, i get

OpenSSL: error:0909006C:PEM routines:get_name:no start line
OpenSSL: error:140AD009:SSL routines:SSL_CTX_use_certificate_file:PEM lib
Cannot load inline certificate file

which seems to hint at the config file not being valid..
Switching back to EU-1 and regenerating still returns 404 :/
Lastly tried US-Eastern ca which works but websites of the boxes won't load..

I know other ppl who still can download their EU-1 ca just fine so any idea how to fix this?

One additional question, the Fowsniff CTF room (https://tryhackme.com/room/ctf) has almost all questions without answer, even questions that have a clear answer (Using nmap, scan this machine. What ports are open?). Not sure if this is the right channel, but maybe that room should have a redesign? I thought about asking the room author but since the room is says the machine is used with permission, suggesting that the machine author might not have made the room, I'm not 100% sure who to ask...

Make sure your system time is correct

If you're connecting from a country that blocks openvpn like Egypt or China you're out of luck.

Hi everyone. New to platform this week. If I'm in a room that has me deploy and room and run commands (like netcat or gobuster), is there a way for me to open a shell session into that deployed room OR do I have to open attack server and work from there. I have OpenVPN working fine. I can ping deployed machine, I have no problem connecting to attack server. Thanks

Not sure if it's a bug but you room https://tryhackme.com/room/steelmountain# seems to be buggy, at least for me.

I deployed the machine and there should be a web server running on port 8080 that is accessible via web-browser as confirmed by a write up.

Restarting the machine didn't work out.

Please let me know what the issue might be.

If you are receiving a 404 error after attempting to download the OpenVPN Configuration file please try these steps:

• Press regenerate, wait 30s and then try downloading again

• Change VPN server and try downloading again

• Log out of your account and log back in.

Hello guys, I am doing the room 'Upload Vulnerablities' however the servers are quite slow. The first and second exercices everything were working well. You need to run it before you can troubleshoot using the troubleshoot script.

sudo openvpn filename.ovpn, if that doesn't work then screenshot the error and send it here

On task 9 of https://tryhackme.com/room/windows10privesc it asks us to run winexe but this program does not exist on the THM Attack box. I've tried googling some and there are a few ancient tips on how to install it on Ubuntu 12.04 which uses now dead links. It looks like quite the job to get it to run on the THM attack box. Am I missing something / could it be added to the box?
