I’m really having trouble access target site from my Kali after I’ve connected to openvpn and configure my etc/host file with target ip info.

I’ve tried all the necessary steps, network restart , dns flush , rebooting my machine yet still . Everyroom I connect to seem to have a problem reach target site or target sub-domain sites and it’s frustrating

Hey folks! Just wanted to share that I've been experiencing persistent Error 500 issues throughout the entire month of June. The problem isn't limited to a single course, I currently have no access to all learning materials across the platform.

Within the Defending Azure course, I have no access to the Microsoft Entra ID section specifically. Despite this, I've already received a certificate claiming I've completed all 5 sections, including the not available one.

Because of these issues, I'm unable to fully participate in the leagues, and my three-month paid subscription for cloud courses is essentially being wasted. I even tried logging in from a different account, and everything works perfectly! But from my Premium account with subscription, I often spend hours unable to access content due to repeated Error 500 messages.

I submitted a ticket to support three days ago, but I still haven't heard back. Do you have any suggestions about what to do?

Hey everyone! I've connected to the open vpn, at least on the access page it shows my internal address. But when I try to connect to the target machine i dont get a result. Also, when pinging 10.10.10.10 I don't get any response. I've tried regenerating the openvpn config, changing region and such, nothing seems to help. It's not the first time i experience issues with connecting to THM servers, when i was doing network-services rooms there were a lot of strange connection problems, e.g. trying to connect to a telnet protocol, sometimes i succeeded, sometimes not. I tried enumerating smtp following the walkthrough, but the tool just cant get a connection to a server. Now the same thing happens to the mysql part of network-services2: sometimes i can connect to mysql no problem, now i can't. Is this a known issue? Could it be possibly linked to the fact, that I am from Russia and therefore some of my connections are blocked because of the sanctions?

You can reset the environment and it should work. The ONLY way the environment gets slow is if you are sending bruteforce attacks or any kind of spam attacks which are not allowed in the exam.

alright, so, this is how Scrubz explained it:
Your MTU was at 1500, which was breaking up the packets. Say you have a 15 page letter that you need to send.

Your letter is too big for one packet, so it will split it up in to 15 packets, when fragmentation happens the 15 letters could be sent, however they either;
a) End up in the wrong order.
b) Don't get sent at all.

When you lower the MTU down to a smaller size, your making it easier to send the packet in smaller envelopes, so it doesn't get broken up or sent/received in the wrong order.

tryhackme's dailybugle room seems to take ~5 mins to loadup and then upon loading it'll be fine for roughly 5 minutes before proceeding to hang and not load in the browser (it was previously working fine as intended), it also doesn't respond to pings during this hanging.

Yes I am on the VPN and have tried regenerating my access.

I believe this is a room specific thing as I have also tried many other rooms on the exact same setup and they all work fine.

anyone have any clue on how to resolve this issue? as it keeps murdering itself every 5 mins or so as if its trying to reboot the room hence why it takes roughly the same time as it loads to resolve itself before repeating.

I think you're getting confused. You have a choice here; You either do it via RDP from your own Kali, or you use the already made RDP session that's to the right of your screen.

You're trying to RDP to yourself and to the already open session. It's why you're getting disconnected. (Basically, you're disconnecting yourself)

Leave the room completely -> Go to your access page -> Networks -> Regenerate the VPN file for the room.
Once done, join back the room and launch the AB. Then do the sid ... command given in the first task with the DC IP.
Then, nslookup the DC using its DNS name to test.

The VPN file is actually directly injected into the AB upon launch from what I understand. The network changes status often and the DNS of the AB resets each 3 hours. So it might be necessary.
