Hi Mithrandir!!! Don't feel bad!!! Try being in the lead @ 3308 and the second place guy being @ 2977 on the last 2 hours and having that guy in second place within 2 hours go from 2977 to over 5500, pull a 2,000 point lead. He scored over 2,500 points on the last 2 hours to put it short. He did it once, I caught back up cause he went offline for 2 days, I passed him up, then he came back on the last day and destroyed me. LOL!!!!

If you are referring to the target, it isn't really provisioned with internet access (as it was not intended to be used as such / there is no need to do so)

To add, as the message or prompt says your issuer has declined payment, you need to confirm with your bank why it was declined. If the payment did not go through at your card issuer, it won't even reach THM's account unless your bank says it isn't them who rejected it

For me it's very painful to even to type, it lags about 300ms, it's not latency, the CPU usage spikes high even when I switch between CMD and Firefox. I have cleared the cache, but I hardly think it's a problem on my side. This problem has been around for about >=2 months, I never co related the IP, thinking it's a temporary problem.

yeah the boxes are quite slow. i think biggest pain the the missing copy paste thing and you always have to go through the helper thing on the left. what i dont get. i downloaded kali and im using the openvpn successfully. i can port scan the target machine with nmap, so its reachable. the site tells me to visit the website, but its unreachable in the browser

The Elastic Server never starts up and I have waited over 10 minutes

nmap Shows 80 and 443 Closed but 22 open

This happens with the Attack Box and Through My VPN. I have tried multiple restarts of the Server

Hi, I have a question about how the Monthly Leaderboard works on TryHackMe.

I started around a month ago and was only active for 9 days last month, but this month (April) I’ve been active for 20 days and earned most of my 3,780 points during this time. However, on the monthly leaderboard for my country, I’m ranked out of 200, which is okay but...

Meanwhile, I noticed another user who has:

A global rank of 600k+

Only 800 total points

Just 5 completed rooms …is currently ranked near about 50 on the same monthly leaderboard.

This doesn’t make sense to me, since I’ve clearly earned more points this month, not just overall. Could someone please explain how the monthly ranking is calculated and why this discrepancy might happen?
