I did not.

Your MTU was set too high, so any packets sent and received were being broken up, and they weren't correcting the packets in the correct order

So the web browser was like "🤷‍♂️ I'm doing"

Think of it like a letter.

The letter was far too big to be sent at once, so it was split up in to multiple envolopes, which were not being sent and received in the correct order, or at all.

So that command shrunk the letter to as smaller size.

I've tried pretty much everything there is. The VPN works with my home wifi but not in my office. The firewall rules we have shouldn't be blocking the VPN, we use several different ones with widely different ip's. Is there anything I could do to fix this?

So as a complete neophite on the subject it took me 45mn to only read and answer the questions. I suppose that if I had take notes and pushed a very deep understanding of the whole topic we could add an extra 30mn roughly. So compare to the 30mn of "time to spend" showed, there is quite a difference. not necessarily, it would also depend how the specific VM's or hosts handle connection instability. maybe with a bit more descriptions of the symptoms, and cross checking a bit with data throughput and your location it could be troubleshooted a bit. myself, I'm just saying that I haven't noticed anything other than a few drop outs among all devices and is resolved with network stability or occasionally terminating and relaunching the VM - kind of expected behavior with 4M accounts though.

For the mods this is not promotion but related to this conversion I'm here for the community too. But there are a lot of people who help others like you do that spend more time here. I have my own server for my students and my students are special to me as they can't really work directly in the industry because of a felony, don't have the money for college courses, online course, etc, or just can't get hired because of spousal or domestic abuse and other charges which will disqualify you when your background check comes back.

So, my people are serious about doing Cybersecurity and they learn about me through my unique situation as I am a felon. It happened in 1986 though and not related to computers or anything. I was an illegal hackers for 11 years and in 2007 got hired by a DoD subcontractor as a malware attribution and vulnerability specialist. So I teach them to get into Bug Bounty Hunting, Penetration Testing freelancer, Security consultant, or independent security researcher.

ALL of those they can do on their own if they get good enough

Also, not so important to me really, but I reached Level 0xB[MASTER] today but it won't show up until tomorrow. So I imaging a cron job runs through all the members to update at midnight for everyone that progressed in a Level. But new people wouldn't understand this as they're probably expecting there Level to be updated immediately and they'll be in here asking questions in why the Level system isn't working. 🤣

Hey. I have problems with my VPN connection. I can connect via openvpn in my VM. I can ping the machines of the rooms but if I try to open the Webservice of the machine in Firefox it don't load the pages. If I open a attackbox on the thm site it loads. I tried to change VPN mirror and downloaded the config multiple times and I reinstalled the Kali VM with a fresh downloaded iso. Nothing worked for me. Do you guys have more thoughts on this?

Hey everyone, I just wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I'm working on the 'Hammer' CTF ( Web Application Pentesting --> Authentication --> Hammer) and trying to get the second flag. After logging in with the correct credentials, I keep getting logged out immediately. Burp Suite shows repeated GET requests to /logout.php, which makes it impossible to proceed. It seems like my session isn't persisting. Has anyone else faced this or found a workaround?

I'mm having trouble getting the machine to launch in the OpenVPN room. I have OpenVPN configured, and it says it's connected to the network. The access page says I'm not connected.

When I try to launch the machine, it says it may take a few minutes to boot, but after ten minutes nothing has happened, but the page says that the machine is running and is counting down the time.

I'm using Firefox.

I can access that page. I still can't launch the machine. I tried using the attack box and that also doesn't seem to work properly? It launches, I get the desktop. I open firefox on there and then it doesn't do anything. If I try to go a website it just sits there trying to load it forever.

I tried 3 rooms. The third I'm trying rn is a room I already did. But now just the title of the Webservice is loading. It's loading but nothing changes. Just like 10.10.10.10 everything is fine but the IP don't show up and it don't stop loading the page. Sorry, but I can't believe that I randomly choose 3 rooms that are broken if one of the rooms worked when I did it.
