I have am not a super user & came back after a break. I have been using the site daily but most days it just restarts my count over at 1. Is there anyone who can look into why it keeps restarting my streak every day please?

My problem is the only time I can consistently get access is exactly when they say NOT to use the site (11pm and no earlier than 3 am.) so I guess I won't ever get a streak now.

This site is not support. The link KGB posted has the support email in it (which I had looked for & could not find either), so yeah it did help. Except that they don't fix streaks less than 14 days so I guess I am ljust outo of luck on this since I will never reach 14 days this way.

If y ou had bothered to look at the link KGB posted you would know the answer to that question @swift estuary for me the discounts on swag would be nice as a student. Streaks are very had for people who observe the sabbath & holy days that mean they have to not be on line for 24 hrs so a streak freeze helps with that. But when we have a 2-day holy day that goes into a sabbath that is 3 days & there is no way to NOT lose a streak at least 2 times a year so yeah I should just give on the idea

for me knowing I will lose it 2x a year is kinda demotivating & takes the game part away so now its just like all my other courses - just another one

Actually , I tried to generate one cert. yesterday as another user had the same dilema and it used my full name from THM as name on the cert . Once it is generated it can't get changed . Let's try . Close all of your running terminals and VPN connections and delete your old VPN file . Go to access page on THM and change server to something like US-West-Regular-1 , click regenerate and wait 5min , then click download . Use the new VPN file . Make sure that you're running openvpn cmd with sudo

Heyo, I'm trying to access the Wreath network but can't download OpenVPN connection file from access page. I've tried different browsers on both windows and linux. It spins forever or gives me a red error popup saying "an unknown error has occurred" at the top right. I can download the connection pack for the normal openVPN pack just fine but not the one for the Wreath network. Anybody have this issue before?

Hello, I have a question: Somehow THM consumes 80% of my CPU. My KALI is virtualized and I access it with RDP. I think that the animations on different pages cause such a massive load. My laptop running QubesOS with only 8GB ram, so i use my server with 200gb ram, and access it remotly. Chromium needs about 50% and xrdp about 40%.

Something wrong with the site. If I'm in a room, my Macbook starts overheating. Normally VMWare uses 15-35% battery, but now when I stay in a room it runs up to 230-300% battery usage and the bottom of the machine gets very hot. I tried other websites and those working well.

I have kinda the same problem. The new website design has so much unnecessary animated gifs. With 12 Cores it is at 80-90% alone the website. So near to impossible to work in that condition. Its a shame, to exclude users only because they have no money and potato PCs... I installes uMatrix to block the images, this helps alot.

i recently switched to kali on virtualbox for THM tasks instead of the provided attackbox. however, when i connect to THM VPN, i encounter some issues (see openvpn log below). sometimes it fixes itself and is all fine and dandy for +/- 5 minutes, but then i get network unreachable again

I have been facing an issue of not getting connected to THM using openvpn yesterday I tried every method possible out there to solve this issue and my packets were getting lost now i have just changed the server and packets have been received but the address does not loads into my device

hello everyone Stefano here, im trying the TryHack3M: Bricks Heist room, and every walkthrough shows after the wpscan, they get the Theme in use Bricks after a wpscan, getting then the appropriate CVE, to get a reverse shell on the website.

Also when i try to open the url, it doesn't show the image (don't think is a big deal, but may it be a clue to figure out what's not working properly)

the problem is that i don't get any info about the theme in use and so i can't have any info about looking for CVE related to that.

I tought i could work on the only usefull info i got from wp scan (an old version of WP) and get a CVE to get me in.

unfortunately i can't find any CVE interesting and the 1 that i tried shows me multiple syntax error on that CVE aborting the run.

why don't you use pentestmonkey as a first step to validate that you can get a reverse shell with your parameters?
another direction is to validate your own reverse shell script using a local apache web server on your attacking machine and a local listener
otherwise, you can share your reverse shell here along with screenshots of what you did

i think it had to do that suddenly the web server stopped accepting files. i faced the same issue with later challenges and after rebooting the vm it worked fine. at some point i started looking at the responses i got from the webserver after uploading images and it would all be a code 500 (or 503 i forgot). but it would not show at all in the browser

No, THM uses Amazon server to host their vm's.

So you would probably be best searching for their acceptable uploads, as they may differ from what THM has.

How does the copy paste between the virual machine works when using the web browser. Sometimes I get a "pop up" stating paste, but I don't know what triggers it. (Side note I'm using Firefox on a Ubuntu PC). All keyboard shortcuts are sent into the VM so all copy paste are done inside the VM. So how do I copy paste out from the VM out to my host PC:s clipboard so it is accessible to i.e. firefox?

Try to open up the machine in full-screen view , it should ask you for clipboard permission , click allow 🙂

I switched to Chrome and there I got a question about access to clipboard, strange that I did not get that with firefox. Anyhow it's working with chrome so I guess I'll use that one instead 🙂

As some characters are not the same or a space/dot ... can trow you off
