In Task 4, I feel the course also forgets to mention that the Dockerfile should be named Dockerfile for the commands shown to work (or at least mention that if this is not the case, one needs to add -f MyDockerFileName )

I earned 1 day Streak Freeze and 7 Day Streak Freeze from the Cyber Security 101 Learning path event. So in total I had 8 Days Streak Freeze.
I missed a day few days ago and all 8 Streak Freezes are gone now.

Yes , I think that those freezes work that way . Both are "activated" at the same time , if you have 7 day freeze you can skip up to 7 days , but if you only skip 1 day you will lose both ๐ฆ

Hello everybody, just switched from monthly subscription to annually subscription with 35% off for 81.90/year (Black Friday Deal). Annually subscription is live now, but in my account details next years paying amount is 126, which is the full price. If someone still has subscription for lets say 20 days and cancel the subscription will the paid content, rooms, access and so on be lost or will it continue till the end? The question mark near cancel subscription says it stays but the cancellation web page wants user to confirm that they were informed about losing premium access if canceled.

You may ignore the access page for now. So long as you can access 10.10.10.10 using your browser (or via curl), you should be good to go.

VAT is not the number card, it is a tax number that companies get from the authorities when they register
if you subscribe as an employee, maybe you want to use the VAT number of your employer
otherwise, leave the VAT number blank
as for the state field, try with region (I think it does not really matter for France)

contact support. Not sure how long it would take to reflect payment failure on your account. (I would also cancel auto renewal to prevent the system from retrying while you get it sorted out)
There isn't such an option currently. You'll have to go to each room and reset it, but I don't think it will reset the completion rate as far as the learning path are concerned (I may be wrong though).

Hi, I've been having an issue for over a week now where I get an HTTP error 500 on the startpage, which keeps refreshing continuously. The only way I can keep my streak alive is by using the direct link to the incident process, as there's no refreshing there. Next week, the Advent of Cyber starts... I was really hoping to participate, but if I, as a business user, no longer have access because the site is buggy... that's really unfortunate. Has anyone else encountered this issue and managed to fix it?

Hmm yeah I've always had paypal option but looks like checkout from India only has option for cards. I have used SBI master card for subscriptions to pay in USD when THM didn't yet support INR payments. If you have access to a credit card you could try using that (also just a thought try enabling international transactions on your card before trying to pay, probably wont work but doesn't hurt to give it a try) .
If nothing works you might have to contact your bank to see what the issue might be. I generally get a payment declined messages from SBI when the payment doesn't go though so if you did get one you could use that to get help from the bank.

Supposedly so long as you are a monthly subscription then you are able to upgrade to a annual subscription and take advantage of the pricing, however the button is only appearing for some people and for others there is a 500 error during payment. Incase anyone has been having a difficult time getting the Black Friday discount, if you already have a .edu email connected with the account you will first have to change it to a personal email then the button to switch to annual will appear. After which you can go back to your .edu and contact support for that discount.

hi, i'm not able to start machine in "relevant" room. The start machine button is greyed out and I'm only getting option to terminate but when i click terminate i'm getting "Error terminating instances" error.
I paused my THM subscription for 1 month(monthly subscription) now i wanted to subscribe to it again such that to take benefits again but unable to do so while I tried to cancel it shows subscription is paused can anyone help me out to this i tried contacting to thm support but I didn't got any response from them now it's weekend and it's showing they will be back on Monday but till then the sale will be gone ๐

If I press "Start Machine" in an room, for that attached room - then it doesn't put the room in "split view". An machine is "created" I can see although. How do I open it?
My profile is still on the same 48 day streak so itโs definitely the same account
If I press "Start Attackbox" in the top it will give me an random machine, not made for that room.

The Attackbox is a separate machine from the target to be used in attacking or interacting with the target. You'll need to click on the green Start Machine button to spin up the target.

If you look at the top of the page, you'll see a Start Attackbox button, if you click the arrow dropdown, there should be a Show Split Screen somewhere.

is it just me or is copy and pasting from a site hosted vm really difficult?
is the web based kali on THM configured specially? when i run gobuster it would just be done in seconds, whereas if i run it on my local machine or local VM, it would take minutes

your screenshot indicates that your subscription has the status Paused
I have never used that feature of pausing, but with that status it seems normal that you would not have access to subscriber-only rooms
BTW, as a comparison point, I have cancelled my annual subscription before it expires, but a button offers me to restore subscription In you case, you are offered to resume subscription, which may relate to the pausing you have activated rather than the cancelling
