Is it pretty common for Attack Machines to drop connection after a short time, before the expiration passes? I was running a bruteforce, which naturally takes a while, and when I get back to the room the Attack Machine is incommunicado. Pretty frustrating.

I tried to run Blue as a virtual machine on my local windows computer (downloading the ova file and putting it in virtualbox),
but I can't get an IP to scan it with nmap.

Hi, I am trying to connect to the network for the room 'Breaching Active Directory' but not getting any success. When I tried via the Breachingad ovpn file route, it says exiting because of a fatal error, with 'problem with tun vs. tap setting' mentioned in a line above. Oh never mind, I figure it out. I ran out of network time (default 1h30) - I click extend -> it shows as extended but not true -> Need to refresh the holo page -> Start the network again -> it works now.

Hello! I am having issues with the accessing the active machine in https://tryhackme.com/room/owasptop10 task 5. When trying to connect to http://10.10.102.11/evilshell.php as per the instruction the page is just hung. I am connected on my own Kali Linux VM through openVPN, tryhackme confirms im connected with the green oval at the top of the screen as well as gives me a reply to curl 10.10.10.10/whoami. I have tried all of the troubleshooting instructions from https://help.tryhackme.com/en/articles/6496058-troubleshooting-openvpn-on-linux and nothing has worked. I have also verified my foxyproxy service is disabled and burpsuite is closed so nothing else should be causing the page to hang. On my openvpn terminal last line is "Initialization Sequence Completed"

Additionally. All my .ovpn packs NEVER work. Ive regenerated them multiple times and I ALWAYS have to run the THM-Troubleshooting script to get it to work. Keep saying something about its added a missing cipher in the .ovpn package.... even though I downloaded it directly from the access section AND regenerated it. This is what made me think it was a OVPN issue all day but when I moved to attackbox the room is still slow. Ive tried terminating the box 2-4 times and getting different IPs. Still poop slow

AFAIK, the Mr. Robot room is known for being very slow, it requires a lot of patience so I recommend moving on to a different room. As for the cipher issue, it's not a problem with THM, it depends on which OpenVPN version you have installed and is s very quick fix, but you will have to do each time you regenerate your .ovpn file. That won't make a difference for this room though.

Hello guys, I have a problem with my openvpn connection.. everytime I try to connect to my openvpn file it shows this error. Im currently on openvpn version 2.6.0. I found nothing helpful on the Internet to help.
If I connect to the file, the THM site shows me I'm connected, but as soon as I wanna connect to a machine, it fails.

Hey there,

if you emailed within the last week and haven't received a response in more than 3 days, please send us a follow-up email.

Not three days since you send the first email, three days since you sent the last email:)

E.g. if you emailed on Monday, then sent another one on Tuesday, it would be three days from Tuesday (Friday), not three days from Monday.

We had an issue with tickets, but it should have been resolved now.
