hey there, I wanted to start learning how to connect through a VM and I was having issues with my connection getting restarted with openvpn. The error was "[server] Inactivity timeout (--ping-restart), restarting" and after running "ps aux | grep openvpn" I had around 6 connections pop up. I ran "sudo killall openvpn" and then reconnected, its been holding steady now for a good 10 minutes. Do I have to run that after I'm finishing a session everytime?

How many log files are present?" is repeated twice and when I go to answer the question twice it records as if its been submitted but the whole days task remains red (undone) and when I refresh the page the duplicated question loads as If I have not submitted it....

Hi, I don't know how to connect to a specifici room once OpenVPN is properly working. I thought all machines were accesible via ssh once OpenVPN is connected, but maybe it's not always the case. Is there any doc I could read on how to connect to a machine once OpenVPN is connected?

OK, now I see I can do all the terminal tasks from my own terminal, that solves me part of the problem. What about the ones where I have to get to the desktop?

well you make your own kali linux vm then connect to the vpn from it... for those that need graphical connections on tryhackme which is mostly windows rooms you use remmina or xfreerdp to connect and do the stuff

maybe a few linux machines will use vnc instead of rdp but doubt so

and if the linux machine needs graphical stuff they should tell you so in task texts

hey, im trying to connect to the openvpn using the config file but im unable to connect, i changed the vpn server and reloaded the config file but nothing happened, i was able to connect 2 weeks ago on a linux machine from the CLI but rn im using windows and it just keeps trying to connect and it doesnt give any errors, i have also tried to connect from the kali CLI but still cant connect and still with no errors just keeps trying to connect and nothing happens

You could try to do that and see if it changes anything.
If it doesn't, maybe your ISP, country, or the network you are in is blocking the necessary port that openvpn uses
