#Legend of Zelda!!
1 messages ยท Page 4 of 1
Just like in real life, no light means no color
Since color is essentially light bouncing off of something
yeah Link looks almost like how he looked in that one section of Lake Hylia in botw
where he loses his cel shading
i wonder how age of calamity will age
of calamity
will age of calamity will age of calamity will age of
no but really now that totk made it completely irrelevant and non canon and anything
i used to swear by this game for the info it brought to the table but now i'm like... yeah this game didn't happen
i was so sure they were gonna reference it in totk and they didn't
To be fair, it never was canon
Sure it did reference certain events from Breath of the Wild, with Terrako creating the new alternative timeline, nothing in it was canon
Yes. It was said during some of the game's loading screens for each level
no i don't mean that
i've played the game i know it's a "new world"
what i meant is was it ever stated it wasn't canon
cause to me the sole argument in favor of canonicity was the descendants being brought back in time and then being brought back to their original timeline
even Tulin was sent in age of calamity and developed his own wind technique in that game, called Tulin's Tornado
so like, they were very clearly setting up Tulin in totk
Yunobo too was set up as standing up more for himself and being less cowardly and stuff
like the game was clearly setting up totk in some aspects
Tulin was in AoC?
yeah in the last dlc
I'm pretty sure that a new world means that anything that happens in it is completely unrelated to the main timeline
what do you make of the descendants
like, sidon comes from the botw timeline where mipha died
yunobo too where he met link and did stuff with him
after you break a decayed one, you find it in the depths, the shadow soldiers are holding them
That's the main reason I complain about it.
Just watched the final two trailers for the first time
I'm glad I didn't watch them earlier lmfao
I been using this trick for the past 80 hours and its even more useful than Tulin Trick exploit since you can maintain the speed all the time to paraglide fast!

S...
whaaa marbled rock roast tho
did you have a good time
Ye
also yeah i get they were spoilery but keep in mind they spoiled stuff out of context
The music...
now you have the context for what you've seen but at the time we didn't
bomb flower are so delicious and mindblowing
id try it over chuchu jelly, that's gotta just be thick water
I hate that I've kinda pieced together what's going to happen to Zelda later in the story
Not even through spoilers, just through stuff in-game
But I didn't wanna know yet ๐ญ
theres a shrine that literally put you in jail
Where is it?
Thank you
can you sell rooms in the house
i'm super dumb i bought more rooms than i actually needed
time to load a very old save and redo tons of things then
this game seldom sucks
Yes, but only if you have some stored, which means that you first have to max out on rooms if you want to sell
i will never see the end of this game
I'm probably 120 hrs in and still so much more to do
I gotta show how my 1st ||King Gleeok|| fight went
I love the side quests and side adventures, especially the ones that involve Zonai ruins from the distant past
it's kinda crazy how much they did with the zonai in this game
if you told me back in botw zonai craze that zonais would be the main focus of the sequel i'd have gone bonkers
still sad we only get to see only a few zonai in the game though.. kinda wish we met a whole tribe or something
i know nintendo did intend for the game to be playable without having played botw
but man is the experience vastly better if you did
Has anyone found the underground bridge from the 2019 teaser trailer
I heard it is in the game in the depths but idk if it's true
What does it look like?
Just beat totk
Le final battle is epique
Facts
Still don't know what this is and I did all the shrines
this is the second time they've done this somehow
in the first game you could only unlock that by talking to the carrot dude in kakariko
and not only you had to talk to him and him only, but you had to talk to him at least TWICE, select the right dialog option but only at a certain moment in the day
you can also find it near hyrule field's chasm
Oh ya I forgot
In breath of the wild, there was a quest to defeat all the bosses in the overworld
|| It's back in this game and it's weird because I don't know how they expect you to do it without a guide... You don't get that good of reward still. But when you have hinoxes left ... Can't even find them on a complete map guide
||
I need seven but I can't even find one
Have you checked certain sky islands?
Usually they'll look like arenas, housing one of two bosses
The guide says there's a zero up there
Sheikah Sensor
i'm wondering if there is a secret in this game
as in, in botw there was the mystery of the zonai
is there such a mystery in totk ? some stuff is left unexplained but it's not exactly mystery stuff
Not quite sure about secrets but TotK definitively ignited the timeline discussion again.
People were mostly content with the explanation they were given that BotW was the latest game in the timeline.
Then this game comes out and despite it supposedly being a sequel to BotW it's really inconsistent to what happened in BotW.
And the fact that it re-do's distinct events in the series (even the ones we originally got to see for ourselves) it's made people wonder if we should just trash the timeline we were given by Huryle Historia and make a new one instead.
we know for SURE that Skyward Sword and Ocarina of Time have happened in the botw timeline already
thanks to Creating a Champion and other hints in both botw and totk
Skyward Sword maybe but I highly doubt Ocarina of Time now.
now... hold on let me grab my copy of the artbook
nah the artbook talks about the hero of time and the princess of hyrule in there
I heard we were given an official timeline even before Hyrule Historia and they changed their mind on that one too
"ruto awakens as a sage and assists the princess of hyrule and the legendary hero"
Sure, but TotK can easily just make it into it's own version of "The Hero of Time" and not the one we're already familiar with.
They already made it's own version of Ganondorf and Rauru.
but we haven't seen the "legendary hero" in the events of totk
if the grey zora sage from rauru's time is ruto then who is the legendary hero
i absolutely think oot happened because of the sole mention of ruto being a sage and assisting the hero of legend
it's my only lead but it's quite strong
hmmm
why did the king from 10.000 years ago order that they bury the divine beasts after they ended the calamity with them
what's the deal with this king
sheikahs are out here inventing motorcycles and iPads and the dude is like "ok stop"
it's like how when i played BotW i thought Rauru Hillside was making a reference to this man
But then TotK came around and was like "Actually no it's this Rauru, don't you remember him?"
So now they can just do it with any name mention.
it could still be a reference to the other Rauru
Sure, maybe it was back when only BotW was around
shit gotta go sorry torbi
zonai are fucking furries
Can't wait for 2029's Legend of Zelda: Smell of the Colonies to tell us who the new Ruto is
SotC ? Shadow of the colossus ?
Didn't think about the letters, but sure
Personally i hope they do go back to the timeline and decide to just completely break it apart and only connect the games that are deliberately connected to each other in their own games while letting the clusters of lore that they make up just hover in the void and be left to fan speculation.
Like WW and TP makes explicit mention of the Hero of Time in-game and Ganondorf's motivations in those two games stem from the things that happened to him in either timelines.
Four Swords and Four Swords Adventure has no business being on different timelines.
And the idea of downfall timeline should just be straight up removed since it is just a "What if" scenario compared to the adult and child timelines, which can exist at the same time and don't contradict each other.
It just makes it so they can make a "what if" scenario in every single game and that's just lazy and boring.
_ _
There's timetravel shenanigangs in Skyward Sword, why wasn't there a timeline split from that? One where Demise is destroyed late and another where he's destroyed early.
Youre absolutely correct
Why is minish cap after skyward sword ? Such an arbitrary place
And where's Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland in the timeline?
Games based on BotW alone seems to exist in what-if timelines of their own
Btw do you guys wanna see a botw theory that gets somewhat confirmed by exploring the depths in totk
Sure
Disclaimer:
All screenshots were taken by myself, and all IRL pictures were taken from Wikipedia (except for the "salt bae" meme guy). There are some super interesting videos about Pando already, but I didn't want to just copy them without permission. If you're looking for more information about Pando, here are some links that I found useful:
...
You shouldn't have gone down there TotK.
You should have let it fuckin' rest just like your older sisters did.
Started thinking about making a cool fit for link, first one is the one i used in botw.
Armor Spoilers
Awesome
#botw #totk #thelegendofzeldatearsofthekingdom #thelegendofzelda #zelda #link #water #thelegendofzeldabreathofthewild #loz #funny #mipha
Two more. Second one isn't in the dye preview because the original color is needed for the pants (so it isn't correctly dyed lol)
What do you mean?
Unless the sensor can detect a radius of like 5 miles
And there's multiple versions of the bosses like the colors or skeletal forms
So unless you go to an area that you think has a hinox , and turn on five different sensors in a row to find them maybe..
I just wish once you had like 10 left in the world, just tell you where they are - know what I mean ๐
guys u know the thing in gerudo town about that guy in jail, not being able to see his wife/daughter?
Is that like a quest? seems like something that needs resolved but iirc it never triggered a quest
to my knowledge it's not a quest
talked to every party involved in that whole situation multiple times and nothing triggered
Same
spoilers for Gerudo Highlands
||why is this shrine a shrine of blessing ? it's out in the open, the only challenge is reaching it because navigating the gerudo highlands isn't very fun
unless a quest lead to it but idk||
That was actually one of the last ones I found.
I mean - gift horse and all - but that was a surprise to me
oh interesting
i found it when g||oing on the star island with the ancient hylian writings on it that's nearby||
when did you guys learn that during botw zelda was actually ||inside ganon||
like i thought she was ||metaphorically inside it, like... idk she was transformed into sacred energy or whatever in order to combat the evil idk IDK HOW THINGS WORK but no she was legit just inside ganon
urgh||
man the glow up of death mountain and goron city in totk is so cool
i honestly didn't like death mountain in botw i probably spent the least amount of time there
but in totk man it's so inviting there's no lava you can walk everywhere it's not hot
love it love it
no cel shading jumpscare
Fully ||lit up|| the ||depths||, ||i wish we could've gotten something better for it||
You got ||to know where every shrine is on the surface without needing to look it up online.||
huge upside compared to botw
||i mean like I guess but like it'd be cool if they gave you a bunch of treasure maps or a cool weapon to buy at the bargainer statures.||
facts
im thinking about emulating it
Nintendo's fw
i really like the game but feels limited
Bruh
found the biggest statue in the game and damn the biggest statue do be big
Cohozuna?
If you could describe Tears of the Kingdom in one word, what would it be?
idk why bombastic popped in my head
but not bombastic
uhhh epic ? sounds cliche but epic
for reference, serene would be botw
Doesn't matter, it's an angy Nintendo character with a gun and Nintendo is very well known for being trigger happy against people who emulate their games simply because of emulation's indirect relations to piracy.
wha
What do you mean "what"?
i said that we weren't in splatoon cause you mentioned cohozuna
and now you're referring back to your previous message which i didn't particularly care about
oh yeah i mixed it up
that's fine haha
My own reaction image made me think i was in the sploon thread.
Twice.
and i didn't remember statues being much of a thing in TotK
But yes, i guess you mean one of the Bargainers then?
Cause jesus christ some of them are massive
yeah i meant the bargainer one ||under the forgotten temple||
I would personally refer to it as being 'complex'.
The enemies are more complex, the bosses are more complex, the visuals are more complex, the mechanics are more complex, the Zonai technology is much more complex than the Sheikah technology could ever dream of being.
Everything about Tears of the Kingdom goes so much deeper into what was previously established in Breath of the Wild, because now it looks like it barely scratches the surface of how far the in-game world can go compared to Tears of the Kingdom
yeah that's fair
but totk is so rich BECAUSE they already had that foundation of botw
Yes, which is why although the sequel blows it out of the water, that doesn't make Breath of the Wild any less of a groundbreaking title. Without Tears of the Kingdom, I think for quite a few people, Breath of the Wild would be considered the greatest game of all time
it's been one month can we talk about something
spoilers for big events in the game
the fucking ||draconification music|| is ||the music that plays at the beginning of the third trailer
i find this so cool||
Huge
Guys is there an item duplication glitch I want money
โฌ๏ธ
Thanks
what why did they put a fun minigame next to|| the coliseum||
i was like "where's the funny goron hammer minigame everyone keeps posting about i can't find it"
it's right next to|| three headed satan shitting thunder||
why
there's no road to here it's all steep cliffs how are you supposed to find this on your own
how are you supposed to reach this on foot ? seriously
There's a quest that leads you up there, from one of the stables iirc
that's how i found it and it successfully distracted me lol
There's also a Korok that leads you up there
moz could you please spoiler mark things like these next time ๐ญ thank you

right sorry man
I love having all the shrines completed
But I'm missing one shrine quest

In botw I managed to skip a part of that one korok quest where you had to follow him
So i got the shrine without the shrine quest being completed
That last shrine took me a while to find, it just didn't trigger the sheikah sensor ||where lightroot said it should be, all because it was tied to a shrine quest.||
||Nirvana Plateau
||
I finally beat the game (at least the main story).
Boy, what a ride. I definitely need to take a moment to take it in before I give my full thoughts. So far though, easily one of my favorite gaming experiences and an amazing continuation of this new era of Zelda.
||something in my ass||
when you equip a ||divine beast mask, one of the sage get a zonai mask that look like their ancestors in the flashbacks||
||And when using|| Big Spoilers ||robot, the Zonaite set's Mask also gives a mask||

best weapons in the game?
i hear the bone weapons + radiant armor does the most damage
Forgot the mention but I loved the detail of Kohga ||being stuck in the depths after what happened to him in BotW||
It makes so much sense! And it's so funny!
If there is DLC that adds new zonai parts. What should that be?
All Bargainer statue reward spoilers
||unlocked the tunic of memories, it feels just like home||
"Enhancer": Boosts the power of other Zonai parts it is in a construct attached to (wheels spin faster, damaging parts deal more damage)
"Rope": Literally a rope lmao
"Boombox": Emits a sound that can be used to lure enemies
"Power Wheel": A giant hamsterwheel large enough to fit a horse, which can be used to power constructs.
"Med Station": When standing in front of this item, it sprays a healing mist.
"Warp Shooter": An item that warps the user to it's location when thrown or fired from a Bow (idk how to use it with multishot Bows)

those are good ideas, I've brought it up before but some kind of alternate steering stick with a button on it that activates the other parts when you press Y(turn on fans, shoots cannons, etc) like banjo kazooie nuts and bolts - an elbow join would be cool too
or a sticky ball that has super high traction
I like the Warp Shooter idea. Also like the idea of a...I'll call it a "trigger" part that Tev's suggesting.
I'd love to get a Wing...that DOESN'T despawn like what we've got already does after a decently short distance IMO.
maybe the enhancer could fix that
The Electric motors from one shrine becoming a Zonai part outright would be welcome too.
True
-
Large rocket
Like the large battery in the sense that it offers much more power than the regular rocket, and stays out a longer duration before disappearing -
Floating platform
This one might be a pretty big stretch, but the huge floating platforms would be an awesome addition in my opinion, as they've always had more appeal to me than the hover stones -
Some form of repair device for weapons, like the rock octoroks but they don't add any special effects. They would also be another rare device to come across, as it would be ridiculous to have fifty of these just pop out of a device dispenser
[WATER TEMPLE SPOILERS]
-
||Water orb||
||This could be used for combat, as well as possibly having capabilites for traversal in some way, but you could just head to a bokoblin camp with one of these and drown them all with it.|| Once again another stretch, but it could potentially work well. -
Electric batteries
Rechargeable batteries that exclusively use electricity, and don't despawn once they've used their charge. Another one to add to the rare items list, but I'm adding all of these items to the list assuming duplication glitches exist
As for things I've seen other people mention that I agree with; I'd love to see how a rope would interact with the different Zonai devices at our disposal.
Good ideas
Mostly stretches, but I would love that large rocket
ok i don't understand people criticizing koroks
i legit don't
you guys remember Nerrel ? the majora's mask guy, the one whose video is always in recommended
well dude is saying, in earnest, that he doesn't like the korok puzzles
well don't fucking do them ??? they're optional dingus
you people who hate koroks are so dumb honestly i'm sorry but it's true
Just cos something is optional doesn't free it from criticism IMO. I don't really mind or frankly care about the Koroks though myself.
yeah no idk why the dude is complaining about playing the game
i personally think it frees it completely
but yeah no Nerrel is like "i don't like fetch quests"
oh you don't like exploring the world and gathering resources as you do ? the whole name of the game ?
at this point just stop playing
dude groans at every addison sign
dude hates fun lol
Nah. Content that people dislike but is not forced upon you should still get called out if you dislike it strongly enough. My example here is extreme but...the mindset of "it's optional, so meh" is how we've ended up with Mictotransactions or Battle Passes everywhere and how Lootboxes rose up.
yeah no i can't this guy doesn't get what makes botw and totk
he's very much reward-driven
dude complains about caves because all he finds in them is rock salt, bad weapons, bubbul frogs and sometimes pieces of armor
okay weirdo i like caves because i like exploring
the caves are the rewards
playing the game is playing the game
i guess that's true yeah
People are entitled to their own opinions lmao
i guess
but like.. they're optional
why do you groan if you find one
you don't have to find all of them
Not necessarily
in fact if you do the devs shit on you
They upgrade your weapon slots
yeah they're worth it
idk why people complain
i collect them for fun i don't even upgrade my weapon slots
I'd guess because they want weapon slots without being forced to go find a bunch of usually hidden puzzles
Not to mention that the only way to get help is to find the korok mask
why are people playing a zelda game if they don't like exploring nor solving puzzles
that's what koroks are and that's what zelda has always been
hidden
it just doesn't make sense
to you
yeah it's why i'm even typing about it
I'm sorry, I'm getting mad about a random video, I'll stop
I personally just hate two things about it, those being the exponential increase in the amount of Korok seeds required to increase your inventory slots, especially when comparing to the +1 seed increase from Breath of the Wild. Second one on my list would be the ever-infamous "Hestu's gift".
Based
Kororks are good because there's never a dead end
Always something at the end of every road, something at the top of every mountain
Is he the guy that said Majora's mask 3D sucks because it keeps track of your side quests
yes
tbf he does adress some complaints which i will agree suck balls
like the sages system being super convoluted or the zonai devices expiring
The only expiring Zonai device that bugs me is the Wing.
Would be great in so many builds. Had it as the "saucer" section of my Enterprise but the fact it expires so fast ruins the build.
Dunno if Sleds expire but if they do, then I expect that'll bother me greatly too.
Personally for a DLC i'd love for them to add an Empty Zonai Capsule item where you could then fuse otherwise rare environmental objects into the capsule for use later.
oooh that's a sweet idea
Been thinking about using my weapons to store those in my home storage, so such an item would be incredibly helpful to me!
i do think such items would need to be scarce though
Wdym
I don't understand
imagine getting empty zonai capsules
and i'm guessing like you could throw them onto zonai devices
and by doing so you store the devices that were out in the world and you put them into the zonai capsule you had
or wait no just zonai capsules, imagine doing that with any item ?
like any item you cannot carry with you nor pick
like a big ass plate, just throw an empty zonai capsule at it and POOF
OK, am FINALLY doing one of the 4 regional phenomena lines! lol

Just two more shrines...I think
||And Fire Temple done.||

I hate the sheer amount of blessing shrines in this game, but they make for some fantastic pictures
there's not many
That's another one that would be good.
"Big Ass Plate": It's self-explanatory
I completely disagree.
Here's my experience with shrines, split into uneven quarters, and in order of how much I've run into them;
-
Blessing shrines
It's cool when you overcome a difficult challenge, and receive a blessing from Rauru as the reward for it, but there's way too many in this game, and almost all of them feel unearned. -
Proving grounds
These are actually cool, although less abundant than the blessing shrines, and being better because they have an actual challenge required to get through them, I still think there's too many. Once again, not as bad as the blessing shrines, but still too many. -
Half-baked puzzles
These are just more disappointing than anything, as once you get past what seems like the tutorial to this shrine, you immediately receive the light of blessing, with getting more of a fully-fledged concept. -
Complete puzzles
For better or worse, I still love these shrines. They're very few and far between, but I can always appreciate a good puzzle shrine, especially when the concept feels completed.
Overall I really just wish there were more full puzzle shrines, and the reason why I make this claim about too many blessing shrines is because I've almost done every shrine, and it's a major disappointment to find out that most of them are pretty much just free blessings.
Ya I agree on the half baked puzzles
ya I still dont recall any blessing shrines that aren't earned or ones you didnt have to go through a challenge
my issue is, you gotta go thru two loading zones (what if it gave you the orb outside)
ek
Most of them are just a simple 'carry the crystal a couple of meters and it turns into the shrine'. If some of them require quests to do, then that's, but sadly that is not the case
Ya there def is a lot of crytal shrines
also side note, "breaking" the game and doing the "unintended" solutions is fun and all but so many shrines you can just use a bomb arrow / bomb jump / rewind and you're done
once you realize you can do this, it's hard to tell yourself ya I'll try doing this the more elaborate way and see what this shrine has to offer
I personally haven't tried to exploit any of the shrines, as that just takes the fun out of them for me. I'm not gonna knock anyone who does it, but I just don't like it, and I see it as sort of a braindead solution to some relatively easy problems
I just think it'd be cool to solve some puzzles in an interesting manner, without just sticking a bomb to a shield and calling it a day.
The dev team made quite the amount of fantastic shrines in Breath of the Wild, so this time I feel like although they heavily amped up the aesthetics, they were very much lacking in actual puzzle design
to be fair, breath of the wild had a good handful of lackluster puzzle shrines
this one you scoop a ball, this one you use motion controls to get the ball out the maze
True, and they did have some bad shrines, like the ever-infamous shrine in Hateno Village, but those same developers also created the Ne'ez Yohma shrine
And although you could make the same argument about the blessing shrines in this game with the tests of strength from Breath of the Wild, the tests of strength were still some form of a challenge, despite being relatively easy, and also not having too much requirement in the thinking department to complete them
Still, I'm not going to act like just because I have a couple of major gripes, that this is a bad game now, because it's an amazing game, but much like Breath of the Wild, it is still flawed
test of strengths, no matter the challenge... it was just the same repeated, boring!
I will admit that the proving grounds were more creative, so this one just comes down to personal taste, but I personally just like a classic one-on-one combat challenge
Agreed. Despite me liking the tests of strength more, it is a nice refresher seeing all of the unique combat challenges the developers have cooked up for you
In your opinion, what is the single best piece of armor in the game from a visual standpoint?
I'll give two answers.
If I'm including the reference fits, then I'm big on the OoT shirt piece.
If I'm not, then I'm big on the updated ||Champion's Tunic found in Hyrule Castle||
the one you get from finding all bargainer statues
scratch that, the zonaite armor i think it's called ? the torso piece
it looks so dope
Pretty good contender. It does go with most pieces of armor
Personally I'd go for the Desert Voe Headband. I just love the way Link's hair looks when wearing it
The climbing gear shirt is very versatile I feel like
i like the royal guard boots
Can you upgrade the royal guard armor
where can i find eggs in somewhat big quantity
hit cuccos
Sadly, no.
but you could in botw iirc?
Also no
Another good piece, personally one that I used to wear a lot in-game, and it's really the whole set that's great
man i'm not a horse person but i love my horse in botw and totk
the fact you can make any horse the ultimate horse in totk is so cool
i made my horse a bit faster and the difference is FELT
you can upgrade the royal guard set
Wait really?
I thought the DLC itmes from Breath of the Wild weren't able to be upgraded
I've upgraded one of the parts
Why did 13 lie
13 is a liar
They weren't able to in BoTW, but some can now.
Very cool to see. I like that
And yes anyway
Thumbnail spoilers for the Zonaite armor.
This is some great information on all possible fuse items
There are 829 objects that can be fused to weapons in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. This video explains the effects of all of them.

i kinda want to learn all those by myself but also
i don't have the time to do that
but also i want to know
so i'll go watch it
man this makes me wonder what happens if you fuse a rocket to a boomerang
He didn't explain what happens if you put a rocket on a boomerang? Isn't that the point of his video

I watched some of it, He didn't really go into the uses of fusing things to arrows and throwing swords
After dozens of hours of research and editing, here is the first part of my Zonai device deep dive. Basic info about the energy cell, device depletion rates, combination rules, and plenty of math... It's all here!

anyone else has motion control issues in totk ?
sometimes i'll aim my bow and move my controller and nothing will happen
i'll have to like, use the right stick for a second for the game to register i'm aiming my bow or something
this definitely didn't happen in botw but it keeps happening in totk
i just realised something
i thiiiink every stable with a fairy fountain nearby has a well with fairies in them
nevermind it's fake
this game blows why does using electric weapons in the rain kill you
i'm like certain it didn't kill you in botw
because โก + ๐ง = ๐ irl
yeah but it didn't do that in botw
Beedle is insufferable in totk
yeah beedle is useless now
i love beedle he's the GOAT
How's he different from botw
he throws a tantrum and wants to kill you if you don't give him the fucking rarest beetles known to man, explains those death threats in several lenghty text boxes which pressures you to give him your beetles if you don't want to deal with that nonsense, then he goes and tells you insect facts someone could google whenever you buy him some bugs
gone is the charming lovable goofball Beedle
make way for insect incel
I see
Now that I think about it, idk if I have ever read any dialogue from a shop keeper
just did the floating coliseum on my first try technically
fairly certain i wouldn't haven taken as much damage as I did if I didn't have issues with my motion controls...
i think i'll try doing it shield-less and damage-less in the future
sounds like a fun challenge
I just did my 2nd playthrough
Not really a Speedrun but a quick play, just kinda started at the start and went to the end (just got the phantom armor)
i think the intended path to zora's domain was this one
highly suggest you take it cause it's very cool you go into caves and shit
What were the most interesting, and most disappointing enemies you've come across so far?
Most interesting is King Gleeok.
Most disappointing might be the Frox.
Spent so much time running from that thing. Turns out it's just a Talus that takes deep breathing exercises
ditto that
most disappointing is the aerocuda by far
fighting aerial enemies may be a pain i admit but like, only giving it one hp ? that's pushing it
In Zonai Roulette you get 10 random Zonai devices to build the best vehicle possible. This can be very hard depending on which devices you get. Should we take some out or maybe even add new ones for next time?

This is actually the perfect way to describe the Aerocuda.
It's just a bigger Keese, and the only thing it does differently from its fellow airborne enemy is carry bokoblins and small items
I guess they're kind of a threat when you're trying to glide far distances from a sky island when you have no arrows and too little zonai items and battery to splurge on flying contraptions.
they cant hit you when you are gliding
You have to be very unlucky to be in this circumstance. Especially considering how easy a majority of the things listed are to come by
calling it now the dlc will bring in "zonaite horse armor" that allows you to power up your horse using the battery and also teleport it around
Or you could attach Zonai devices to your horse. Sort of like the towing harness, but you can attach stuff directly onto the horse
no that would be goofy
i think the cutest place in the game is ||in the depths, beneath Satori Mountain||
wait hold the phone
i saw a giant ass crater the other day in the game
that thing wasn't in botw
All i can say to the devs is good luck making horses good in this game.
They were situational in BotW and eventually got trivialised by the Mastercycle and they're even worse now that you can make your own vehicle that can be potentially even crazier than the mastercycle ever was.
At least the Mastercycle was an end-game item so horses had at least one niche use in BotW for a good chunk of a playthrough but now you can just make a resource efficient flying machine so early it's not even a contest.
horses aren't meant to be "good" they're meant to be there if you enjoy the serene aspect of totk
i enjoyed using them in botw and i enjoy using them in totk
i like that you can even enhance your favorite horse
so cool
Horses were meant to be the fastest way to traverse long distances with the limitation being the kind of terrain they could go on, but now they're only here because they were a thing in BotW and for the sake of world-building, cause how else are the other normal citizens without access to magic machines and teleportation going to traverse the kingdom in a reasonable amount of time.
i guess you're right
man the french translation always amazes me
in japanese Blupees are ใซใใผ or "Rumฤซ"
and in french they're named "Rumy"
and Bubbulfrogs are named "Elusis", the japanese name for Bubbulfrogs is the word "delusion"
so.. delusion... elusis... close enough
near rito village?
cuz the crater was in botw (with a talus in it)
Honestly, if Tears of the Kingdom gets DLC, I dunno if I'll get it. Game is stuffed enough as is for me so far! lol
And by that first "if", I of course mean "when".
today i restarted botw
yes i'm playing botw
I miss fuse and being able to throw materials :(

Yeah but now you can throw metal objects like a lunatic
On the subject of horses, still sour about no base game Epona
just discovered traveler bridle and saddle are amiibo exclusive in botw
what the fuck dude it's the canon equipment for link's horse
it's like if the champion's tunic was locked behind the botw link amiibo
that's werid, they dont even look that cool
i wonder if totk will have a trial of the sword type of challenge
maybe instead of combat encounters, it's a tower full of puzzle ? like... cut every shrine in three, and tape all these different thirds into a big tower and you do each puzzle after the other
idk
...i may have described a dungeon
that's what dungeons are
it's a very fun part of botw for sure
i remember the rooms where it's pitch black
so fun and spooky
talking to Hudson in BotW is so funny
dude makes one word sentences and Link quips back at him with the same phlegm
It's not anything amazing but it sure did make me laugh. Second death of my playthrough. First hour
Would someone mind explaining to me why the rockets make this contraption move in slow motion?
Maybe rockets have a cap on their own rotation speed to give them a straighter travel path when used traditionally.
That would make a lot of sense when you think about it. Maybe the developers only intended for the rockets to go in a straight line? (Or at least as straight of a line as possible when other rockets at different angles are in play)
Too bad though as it could've given me a faster spinning machine
oh my god
not the wolf disintegrating in the hot spring ๐ญ #totk
๐ 56 ๐ 5
Welp, i just backed up my most recent switch clips and man, You know when you've got that nagging feeling of not having done the puzzle in the right way?
Link's a being of pure chaos.
bruh theres a chasm under zora domain ๐
yeah if you find the vah ruto helmet you will find it
do you know a wind waker rom (for the gc) that has the red sail in it?
why do you want to do that
I thought he could be my pet
you cant
once he touch air he disappear
||To get these pictures, I had to go to the highest point in the game. This journey took me three tries, as I redid one due to the distance of any ground at all being off, and another time where I was trying to open the pause menu and jumped off of my Zonai device||
||the highest point like the big pillar over lanayru mountain?||
No. It's the little flower-shaped sky island right above Lookout Landing
Yes, but it does take a while to get there

They like to reuse the motifs from the Link to the Past/64 songs.
You'll hear it all throughout
when i played ALLTP and I heard zelda lullaby, I was like
I just always associated it wth the N64 - shows how weak of a zelda fan I was at the time ๐ช

i just rememebred
i thought they made the song specifically to work with the simple ocarina playing
nope, just simple lol
That's just how Koji Kondo Koji Kon Do
lazy guy!!!
that bill quote inspired so many burnouts to continue being lazy, it's crazy
Yeeeaaaah.
They seem to forget that you have to actually do stuff to justify the laziness
Blaze it til you make it, I suppose
word
look like you havent play a lot of any other 3d zelda games
because you hear this theme a lot
yeah i don't like 3d zelda
i dropped twilight princess at the water temple
i dropped ocarina of time at the forest temple
i dropped wind waker on the starting island
what are you on
you have to do 3 dungeons before the forest temple
that's not half an hour
he mean the deku tree
i'm amazed how people figured out you could kill ||colgera|| by ||diving through its weak point||
i just ||used fire arrows
it's ice
you melt the ice with fire||
it's way more obvious than ||diving|| through it but apparently that's what most people did okay
The fight actually presents diving through Colgera's body as a means of defeating it. There is a reason why it moves under you and shoots out spikes.
||(Also not sure if you know or not, but regular arrows also work against the boss)||
I'm amazed how nobody is spoiler marking an important boss
||i get it it's been a bit but imo you should probably still spoiler mark the bigger bosses, if you forget to spoiler mark like gloom hands or phantom ganon then it's not really a big deal||
it's been a full month
heck almost two monthes
It still would be a nice thing to do since it is a large release and there are definitely people still getting the game
That's also why i said important bosses and not everything
there
?
i spoilered the thingies
what is the point of redeeming pony points for free sleeping ๐
You get a harness
This has me thinking the same thing; Why give us something for free when it only costs 20-100 rupees?
how do you kick him with your feet
That's just the throw animation for stal enemy heads
use kick button
help i cant finish the gerudo fossil quest
like i assembled the fossil she keep saying that i need to attach the tail and the head
You mean the one with the mom and child fossils?
yeah
And I'm going to guess you full attached the tail and head the same as the mother?
yes
did you put them on the wrong way?
If everything was correct, there wouldn't be a problem.
Because your end result should be something like this.
that what i did
Do you have it near where the original part was located?
As in near the mother's head
yes
And you talked to the explorer?
yes
Post a picture of what you have.
Welp. There we go
man tears of the kingdom is so big
i'm 215h into it i've barely scratched the surface
tip for gloom hands: find a spot where they cant catch you then wait
Tip for gloom hands: run
tip for gloom spawn: deplete their HP to zero
i have failed the savage labyrinth
welp how do i get this chest
idk have you tried uh looking i up on the interwebs
@regal needle
idk what any of this means but this looks like the room
it has the two trees
wait no hmm
disregard that
@regal needle look at the third picture
looks like the place
yup
this bastard was just here
ok so you can get your own garden in totk
like you can plant your fruits and get more
journalist moment
they could have added grappling hook as a zonai device, so you can carry a build with you while driving
or fuse the grappling with weapons or shield to climb mounts

Hey Guys,
this is a guide on a glitch or exploit about the game Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Since this game is still pretty new I just want you to know that you will be seeing ingame footage that could include spoilers.
so a couple of d...
also patched
no ?
unless there's been a secret new patch the past few days
last time i checked they didn't patch the paracopter
man totk is truly special
||queen gibdo|| sucks ass
what are you supposed to do about the tornados
can't dodge them can't parry them can't shield them
they hurt like hell too
i'm in a loop i keep dying !! this boss it too fucking hard
||You can definitely dodge them, I don't think you're meant to stand close to her. You know her weakness right?||
||okay but like how are you supposed to hit her four times so she falls over, when she's white||
||like, i hit her with an elemental attack, she becomes white, she flies over to the spot, i rush to hit her four times so i can whack her but half the time she just... destroys me instead||
||I used ice weapons/arrows to slow her down so i can get a hit or two in then run back to a safe distance||
so you just never use melee weapons during the fight ?
waiiiit you can freeze it wooo
that's busted
okay she's going down now
OMG did it
that was a challenge
That was my first ||temple boss and it drained through most if not all my weapons, luckily i had a ton of arrows since I knew i'd be needed those.||
Tank them
i have 11 points of armor
do you guys wanna know how to build a cool bike
credit to u/luwers, they made the bike first, i'm just rebuilding it
It's a bit lopsided
yeah idk why, but luwers's bike didn't lean on one side like that
idk what i did wrong
Their lights may be a bit closer to the ground so their kickstands keep it straighter than yours
I made this simple tricycle (5 parts) that was could make some sharp turns when drifting. Probably been done before but I thought I'd share
5 part, what's the 5th part ? pot ?
wait, drifting ? how does one drift
man yeah it looks cool i'm stealing that
briefly press down while accelerating and then turn

they reuse like every zelda song every game but this one is so cool ๐
finally made it to the thunderhead isles
my first playthrough i wandered for one minute and found the head instantly
now i'm doing it the legit way and am doing it from tail to head
HOLY FUCK the stormy weather attack trait gives you ELECTRIC charged attacks
that's insane
finally got every armor sets
ohhh so hadouken motions
kinda funny how doing an hadouken makes you drift
godspeed
loool is that an official statue
probably not officially licensed, but still, cool figure
bit sad we lost the most beautiful bow in the game in the transition to totk
Clearly the bow would just be taken over by Ganon smh
Tears of the Kingdom NSO Icons available now, get your Purah profile picture now

oh dip
Still rocking my Ganondorf one
even the islands in the game cover are not in the game lmao

ground air bike
im gonna give my final opinion on totk now that i almost did the 100% : ||game need more things, it need more enemies, more interesting quests, more interesting area (unlike those copypasted islands), biomes in the depths, better dungeon that are not multiples shrines into one, theres so many missed opportunies and i hate that||
Oddly enough, this game has had a much shorter shelf life for me than its predecessor, despite having so many quality-of-life updates.
I think there was just a certain charm that comes with playing Breath of the Wild, a charm that is somehow lost when playing Tears of the Kingdom.
yeaah think so too
It definitely has some higher highs than Breath of the Wild. That Ganondorf fight in the end has easily become one of my favorite boss fights ever, the abilities are pretty cool and creative, but overall I think the game needs a lot more. It's definitely not a direct copy of the first game like some people have suggested, but it needs more to differentiate itself, especially if Nintendo wants to justify it having seventy dollar price point. ||even though we were gonna eat it up no matter what the price was like we did||
working on a machine to exit the depths, in the context of a no fast travel run
Was something I had as a main goal too in a similar run, but I just decided to use the spots where you can ascend directly instead of another machine.
Or hitch a ride on one of the dragons. That was probably the more frequent one, actually, since they went by spots I was headed sometimes too.
Speak for yourself with that spoiler. My friends are really baffled not only by my resistance to paying the ยฃ60 Nintendo wanted, but my successfully grabbing the game for ยฃ35.
spoilers the final boss is ganondorf
How could you
Spoilers there is an ending
God damnit! I wanted the Final Boss to be Eggman!
Spoilers for final boss, genuinely. ||On the subject of Ganondorf, did anyone else have a bit of panic kick in when he pulled off a perfect dodge on our Flurry Rush? ||
||I was like OH FUCK||
||with the restrictions I had Ganondorf was a genuine challenge so him pulling that out of nowhere was like the icing on the cake||
||Part of me wishes he'd also followed up with his own Flurry Rush instead of that single swing. The dodge had me worried, but his own combo rush after would have been what made me go "Oh FUCK!" personally.||
Only the first time ||he did it. The rest of it afterwards was a different kind of dread, "Oh god, how much of this fight is going to be interrupted by slow motion where nothing is happening?" Conceptually the fight was kinda cool, but the way it asks you to excessively rely on flurry rushes to get any decent amount of damage in made it feel way too much like a game of Simon says.||
Gave me a start, that's for sure.
Trying to come up with weird rules for another ToTK playthrough.
First up is 'the continuity of shirt'. It's funny that Link randomly loses his shirt in the cutscene following the final battle, so the only armor I'll be using are pants.
Got any more for me?
Maybe this was asked already here, but is there a good site/server for TotK Zonai builds?
I imagine something like our #stage-sharing channel or stage builder guide
(Just got into the game now. Hope I can build some new shrines stages in the future)
Thanks man
that is so clean
Ikr, it should have been the game's cover art
is there a higher res version of this art somewhere?
Hmm, best I could find was the official nintendo twitter post but it's still only 1080x1080. Hopefully they post a high res one somewhere
๐ค
so clean
It should've been a reverse-able cover
