Riflemen need help and one of the ways it can get help is that it's the hard counter to armored.
Even if it's unrealistic for armored to chew up machine gun bullets and die to to a rifle bullet.
I think a good way to make riflemen stronger is that they can down armored with 1 shot but armored is still strong against storms and automatics and grenades.

#

I also hate armored as a class

i'd rather get killed in two rifle shots as armoured instead of getting knocked down, that sounds miserable

It's fun playing armored but playing against the class as riflemen it's one of the most annoying classes to run against.
You can shoot them twice and they have to shoot you once.

Or yk, take away the ability for armored to pick up any weapons on the field

#

Giving an armored a Lewis gun, madsen, or MG08 is absolute hell

#

I think armored should not have the ability to sprint as long as they can, either

#

Trade mobility for survivability

Let armored pickup other weapons, it's not like the average life is that long anyways.

#

Perhaps give rifleman the ability to switch to armored piercing ammunition. The germans used bullets loaded backwards before adopting dedicated AP K bullets. Could have a dedicated key to load that ammo type or select it as part of the class' kit.

Make the armor more effective at distance and noneffective against rifle bullets at close range.

#

So you would get one shotted by a rifleman at close range but at long range you would get a 2nd or 3rd chance

#

Pistols would struggle more against the armor also shotguns

When hitting the armored torso, a chance to bounce hits that are below a set damage value might feel good.

If it was say 100 then bolt actions would be guaranteed penetration at shorter ranges, but pistols and buckshot could bounce and do no damage.

I feel like armored is fairly balanced having almost no stamina to run long distance, and a meager selection of grenades vs other classes

#

If you were still able to were able to be one shot by the most common class, then what's the point of the armored class at all?

More i play, the more i think armored players should have their resistance based on range. Im not asking for something crazy, like 100 meters to get the full affect of your armor, but im getting kinda fucking tired of armored "knights" armed with pistols and swords consistently stat checking the supposed CQB classes, and multiple riflemen at once. They should be defensive midrange fighters IMO, not aggressive pushers.

#

the entire point of the armor is so once you get into the trenches you get into melee combat

#

they are quite literally knights

#

you know THESE guys

tame token
#

It's why their grenades were nerfed

#

first off in case it's being implied it absolutely was not the case irl they were the very opposite

#

Second in-game armored has both close range and long range options

#

the single shot rifle is not a storming weapon

tl;dr everyone in this thread agrees armored should be nerfed.

actually buff armored, riflemen have it too good

Armored is honestly totally fine being powerful in its niche as a close combat trench clearer.

Its stamina is so abysmal that you are a sitting duck running over any length of exposed battlefield outside of a trench.

Armored should not be protected from the rear. Bare minimum. Their survivability and one shot kill ability gives them a really big advantage.

Another 💡: Make armor be a separate health bar that doesn't get refilled at a first aid station
