#Cannon is OP but boring

Cannon feels more like a sniper: pinpoint accuracy, infinite range, small explosion, and, most important of all, low visibility to enemies as it's the only way in the game to assume prone position, ergo players aren't used to looking for people in prone.
I got a game with 100+ frags but it wasn't >fun< because I'm just sitting there, almost invisible, clicking on enemies one by one.

Maybe increase the visibility of the cannon while increasing it's explosive range?

On the other hand it may simply be a skill issue of a playerbase full of new players, idk

Going to add what I said in general. I have had simular games (even one today). This is an AT gun shooting AT rounds designed to punch through armor and have a small explosions after if designed to do so. The mortar should be the HE. I do wish that it was a bit more accurate(mortor) but is what it is. A bigger smoke plume is one thing that could help but if you are looking for it you can see it quite easily. I think most reason it goes so unseen is the general chaos of the battle format and the sheer amount of grenades flying through the air. People in this game also tend to have very close range scope and tunnel vision. The AT gun is designed not to be seen easily as it should be. It also still has a long reload leaving you quite vulnerable. If you can hit your shots and know how to set yourself up with decent concealment then it is a great sudo sniper. Snipers should be looking for these gunners and dealing with them but from what I have seen snipers tend to focus on the inf mass.

Having a weapon to fight above ground defenses matters, again the war is famous for its trenches.

The most kills I have gotten at one with one is 3 and they were all standing on each other. I wish the heavy's gun would trash defenses but from my understanding it only can knock down trees. I'll take you word on it not being an AT gun irl. I was going more off game mechanics and how AT rounds act in them.

maybe it could get a slight nerf but ammo types the way tank guns do idk

bit late, i could look into it again but it was meant to take down MG nests so its projectiles were nothing too fancy
