recently started making eilistraee's Moonsword,
before i had created the 20 singing swords of her church,
and those are like holy grails of the faith,

I'd recommend looking at pictures of IRL ungulates first and foremost obviously, but here's my take on the leg! instad of the (character's) left leg facing out entirely it might be angled a bit differently. I'm not super sure how to explain it though..

its a very simplified hoof though, i'd look more at reference photos

I'm working on a massive homebrew project to try to turn a bunch of worldbuilding notes and sketches I did in high school and college (over 20 years ago) into a campaign setting, and that's led to me trying to pick up drawing again for the first time in over a decade

Except now I'm trying it digitally, which is utterly new to me, as I was strictly paper/pencil before

I gave no idea what I'm doing and am stunning blindly through layers and opacity and other stuff, so any feedback's appreciated

This is just one race of six.

Obviously, this one is an underwater race. The thing that'll set them apart from Triton and sea elf is mostly the bioelectricity angle

Honestly whatever works, idk what's the "propper" effects and such, but thats a pretty damn good pose on that btw

I've got first-draft mechanics and old drawings of the other ones, but no updated sketches yet

I found a photo I liked and set it as the first layer and slapped a wireframe sketch on the next layer and deleted the photo. No tracing, just sorta getting the angles right on limb position and stuff. I'm really out of practice on that

Fair enough, could never figure out how to propperly reference anything. Grew up only having time to draw when references weren't available

I had to wildly alter the proportions and left arm's (right from viewer perspective) positioning, so it's not at all a trace, just quick reference really

That first layer was basically just a stick figure to get the limbs and trunk positioned

It still needs a strong, dark pass on the lines. An inking, if you will

And I'm probably going to do another layer to mess with clothing/armor

I intentionally painted the Death Tyrant as a generic one, but might buy a second and remove the eye stalks and give it a unique paint scheme to match

I’m thinking that when he was fairly young the was an attack on his settlement and to protect him he was sent to the main plane of whatever world and was taken in by a ‘way of mercy’ monastery. This led to being to better control his emotions and do the whole eladrin thing that them eladrin folk do, as well as trying to better understand how people worked psychologically with their biases and mannerisms. He was drawn towards the whimsical and flamboyant parts of life and decided to embody aspects of them. So now with a new perspective and better understanding he wants to make the hierarchy of his childhood home a bit more flat

This story is a WIP, I just kind of came up with it as I was typing, I designed the character’s appearance and personality before I designed his backstory

Please be kind 😅 I am not a player myself (yet... with heavy emphasis) but my brother is, and me and our dad made this DM screen for him for Christmas last. It's probably not the best, as it is a bit short, but we did what we could with the materials we had at hand. It has magnetic trips on the back, to put up notes, and a DnD inspired design on the front.

What size pen did you use for the walls?

Those fat walls are either using a sharpie marker or a 60 pixel pencil brush doubled up in Photoshop. (My photoshop work is at 1200 dpi, so a doubled up line is about 90 pixels, which would be 22-25 pixels at 300 dpi where most people work).

It depends on the map. The maps I drew in Dragon Heist and Ravnica were all ink on paper drawings. It was after Ravnica that I started doing my commissioned work digitally so I wouldn't have to redraw the whole map to make requested changes.

With my declining eyesight, I draw about 25% of my work ink on paper still

And the other 75% straight to digital - but in the exact same manner... I hand draw every line - no predrawn elements, copy/paste, etc. I just draw every line as I go.

I don't mind at all! Honestly a lot of success comes from just putting time and money into getting the right tools and equipment (notably a pressure pot). The way I did these was by mixing a few small cups of different colors - blue, purple, and black, each with some different glitters. I poured them in alternating layers while they were all runny, waited a bit, and then used a pipette/syringe to insert some resin i mixed with white opaque ink.

these also use a core, which means that cast was in a smaller set of dice without numbers, that i then put into a bigger mold with numbers (more like a traditional mold) with clear resin to get that kind of funky border effect. this also made it possible for me to put shiny stickers ont he core!

As with all the maps in the set, there is no set scale for these maps, and the items on the maps are not to scale with each other so we can see points of interest like towers, cities, and caves. If you really need a scale for this and don’t want to pick one yourself, go with six miles to the hex.

Thank you, it used to be a city called Tarin, 70 years ago a magical catastrophe ripped the city apart and from the mainland, the survivors of this sundering found themselves in trapped on islands in the middle of an impassable wall of storms and deadly whirlpools, along side the physical devastation strange magical changes started happening to the citizens, magic was more potent than ever and even the gods could now be directly heard by some. Going from a relatively low magic existence to a city now brought to chaos by an influx of arcane.

The five main factions now struggle for power and safety and in a tenuously new found peace have formed an organisations dedicated to trying to stabilize the city called the hunters guild,

Yeah I'm hoping so, got some wild magic tables for random events in the world and during combat if they're close to any area strong in the residual magic, and some fun homebrew mechanics for some interesting ways to interact with Spells

Recently started actually drawing the setting of a campaign I'm DMing, I think my first attempt looks decent

The sun of this pocket dimension is supposed to be blotted out by constant swirls of bluish-purple clouds meanwhile there's a large castle off in the distance. The inside is hidden by multiple almost writhing blood towers flanked by huge red brick walls (meanwhile 1 of the few vampires of the pocket dimension patrols the walls)

Something soft that could scratch, but ain’t gonna be high wealth requirement… bg is basically that an old wizard wanted a grandchild to pass his knowledge to, experimented with giving a construct a real brain, then made this Warforged.

Sandstone being a softer stone that won’t shatter as easily, and to act like a stronger skull for a bone substitution that can withstand more force.

Due to nice rolls, it works with his con stat, too!

Though, I may want to rework the cheek areas… might want to give him more ability to emote with all the love his creator gave him.
