oh the colors you're using here are FANTASTIC- yeah, this does indeed feel very Tinkererish. also, i love when a character is very light on armor and clothes (light as in literal weight.) but still has that Encumbered Adventurer look with half a dozen bags of tools and papers and so on

the extremely unspecific branding aasimar have as a species really irritates me- especially when contrasted with tieflings, who have such a wide variety of looks, but are all recognizably Tieflings- so i wanted to give them The 4e Tiefling Redesign treatment; find a couple of things that are Recognizably Angelic (as well as one thing that isn't- in this case, the feather hair) and create a bunch of variation within those things

as well as giving them different lineages that suit three different angelic pantheons in mythology

The Enochian Half-Archons, The Idyllic Half-Cupids, and the Runic Half-Valkyries

Since she’s a wizard she’ll nearly always nail her WIS saving throws cos Kalashtar have ADV on WIS/CHA saves. They’re a little bit tanky on the magic side of things, also having resistance to psychic damage. Wizard is a good choice I think but most caster roles suit them well. My guy is a dreams druid

Also in 5.5e they can be like 7 feet tall which is cool

after being asked about realistic plate armor for
drow palidin/cleric a few times, so i ended up editing my long hair base reference line up for heavy armor. I did a high elf version too, but it just does not give the same vibe when i look at it on roll 20 hand outs or character tokens on map.

it is a female armor design i worked on, that gives a more function over aesthetic of showing off hot elf bod.

like i can do that too, but not for a front line armor, i have standards!

Upon closer inspection the substance proved to be a dangerous ooze! Orelyn’s wits and abjuration magic (a strategic use of the shield spell!) allowed her to defeat the ooze, but this was just the beginning…

A hike along The Vitaflos: a massive, 800 mile river stretching along the continent surrounded primarily by tranquil forest. Flowers bloom in the riverbed every season before slowly drifting downstream, resulting in a well known, beauteous phenomenon.

It is said that Vivanos, dragon goddess of the wilds weeped into this very river over her brother's imprisonment eons ago. Her tears invigorated the stream; making it so the river is always full of vibrant, colorful life.

Three "Celestial Legacies" to parallel the 5.5e Tieflings's!

I've always said that i've been irritated by the lack of "iconicity" in aasimar compared to the modern tiefling- We forget, but until 4e, tieflings were similarly vague, until they went firmly into the direction of Horns, Scales and Tails. Now that that's become their touchstone, there are more interesting tiefling designs, not less.

So I figured I'd attempt to solidify aasimar in the same way! With Feathers And Halos, of various different kinds. Plus this kills two birds with one stone by giving me the opportunity to introduce some variety into dnd's angels (outside of the Guardinals and stuff), with Enochian Archons, Idyllic Cupids, and Runic Valkyries, to match the Infernal Devils, Cthonic Yugoloths, and Abyssal Demons.

Haha, there’s a lot going on with some of these. The first is a dragon in human form and a creature called a Painter in my setting, which are reality benders. The second is a devil god entity. The third is a fire elemental surrounded by a frame that shows its destruction. The third is a fey surrounded by a frame that shows the invasion of her realm.

These are meant to be salamanders, but they look like cute worms instead of the pretty scary monsters they usually are

Cylus, a hacker on the run from law enforcement after his location was uncovered while he was hacking into some important infrastructure, and has gone into hiding in the storm drains.

Mauva, an escaped prisoner who has also gone into hiding in the storm drains. In prison for trying to push the boundaries of law using legal loopholes too many times. She's also hiding in the storm drains.

Gabrian, engineer from the urban planning contractor for the city's drainage systems. He isn't going to be in the oneshot for long since he's basically just there to introduce the task to the PCs, and then he leaves to negotiate company matters with a manager who seems to want to push a change in strategy.

So.. as some of you may know Wizards designed a set of class icons with the new 2024 PHB, one for each class. They are all designed to look good on a white or light background. When it came to Eberron: Forge of the Artificer, they designed a new artificer class icon. The issue is this time round, the artificer icon is designed to look good on a black or dark background. Why?!

i actually almost stopped art for two years feeling completely defeated by ai art and seeing how it was ruining all the communities i was in. i was getting no engagement (and still really hard to get some) and it just felt like whatever i drew wasn't going to beat AI. but after a while i realised that it doesn't matter and i should go for my own sake, and seeing other artists be resilient to it inspired me too. i'm incredibly thankful for them too

Her blight is connected to some pretty big in game world events. Basically some idiots punched into the veins of the universe and some stuff came out, it messes with magic and undead (it’s called vesperin). This stuff settled into a mist that spread over maybe a fifth of the continent, unfortunately her home was within that area… she spent 3 years trying to navigate her way out which became even harder when comet fall happened and absolutely ruined the existing geography. She finally reaches a town at the edge of the vesperin. Helps some randoms that were in a fight. Gets on their ship, then finds out, ‘oh, btw, we’re going in the vesperin”

(updated collection) (this is kind of funny cuz i've kind of produced my own Lolth model and revenge story...) so i've done a few Lolth fanarts now along with a fanfic- she acquires most of Sune's power by personally 'stealing' it when Sune intervenes to save one of her champions from a battle in Neverwinter. Sune's power enhances Lolth's beauty as though she were Araushnee again-- and also causes Corellon to have a moment of weakness and guilt when he sees her so Lolth takes some of his power and catches Corellon in a web when he falls in the Demonweb Pits- completely draining him of power and giving him a bug face once he is depleted. Lolth goes back to Arvandor with Corellon's power also and defeats all of the Seldarine 1 by 1, sealing her revenge. She hits up the House of Glowing Stars and takes a star and uses it to open a portal to the abyss in Arvandor where the Drow are now welcome because of her. Because Lolth grew so powerful by defeating the Seldarine- the forces of Arvandor had to carefully consider how to deal with the situation... in the last painting, a massive eye is peering through the portal of the abyss- having consumed some nearby magical trees but not being able to fit through the portal (yet) --- will Lolth ever have her revenge? I don’t know how all artists do it. But generally there’s a chat had between the person buying and the artist on what they want done, then some sketches sent, cleaned up lineart, flat colour, shading. Etc. most of these phases you’d likely get contacted to approve or request changes etc. but depends on the artist I guess.

I’m probably overshare progress on the coms I’ve done lol.

I have very little technical skills for anatomy. I usually have a second screen open with references and I find it easier to use blob markers than shapes? Idk I saw it in an art TikTok and it’s just been how I’ve done it ever since. It makes me feel like I don’t need to get anything right, it’s just blob it down in a general shape then start chipping away/refining.
