I still don’t know how this apparently took 49hrs but goddd I think I’m finally done, can’t even share half of the work I did here though. My “thri’keen” (magical human/insect hybrid) artificer and his homunculus, Portable Prick!
Changed the way I shaded like 3 different times throughout it and the shading on the suit especially could be better but I’m genuinely just really happy to finally be done with it. First full-body ref I’ve made with this level of detail. Also kind of learnt how to render metal!

Each hand drawn spell page takes me 1-2 hours.

The symbols in the small circles are the official D&D magic school associated with the spell, the symbols in the large circles represent the spells themselves, most of those I used BG3 spell symbols from the game. The spell name, casting time, range, duration, components, are all in Latin, the spell description and description of the specific somatic component hand gesture are in English. The verbal component I say when I RP in a session is the spells themselves name in Latin at the top.

Been playing almost exclusively wizards since 3rd edition, so making my own spellbook was kind of a dream I always wanted to do, the hand drawn spells and leather spellbook one was for a CoS campaign and any future campaigns I play.

But I think I could make printable copies on Libredraw of every spell, like I did of that sleep spell, and maybe sell those, maybe I’ll buy a leather binding kit on Amazon and get some printer friendly parchment to make a few leather spellbooks and print the spells before binding them, that might be a fun side gig/hobby

(basically, she's a total tomboy noble who ran from a loving home to seek adventure, after winding up being pacted with a beholder when she was a kid, and her magic sprouting as she got older. her patron doesn't even realize she's now a warlock, they just connect her mind to their dream realm, because her love of the occult means she fangirls over them, and they like the attention of someone finally understanding how amazing they are. Wehn she's asleep, she mentally enters the beholder's dream realm/mindscape to talk to and fawn over them.)

My character in this is Obzern, btw, he's basically the straight man in our comedic trio.

It's probably hard to tell with my poor art skills, Obzern and Uresh are dragonborn (black and copper respectively), and Ra is an Aarakocra.

Thus are the player characters aboard the mighty pirate ship, the Chumdumpster.

We started this one when our one female player couldn't show up to my campaign one day, and it would appear she is a grounding presence among us.

I'm describing the image a lot here, what I'm trying to say is that Obzern is probably the only one among them that doesn't belong in a padded cell.
