Nice art! In the future can you post animations as a movie as that way users can control when and how the animation plays for them?
Uncontrolled animation that automatically plays (such as animated GIFs) can cause seizures and other problematic issues for some folks.
With a movie, users can trigger the animation on their own volition using the movie playback controls. Thanks!

cmiaw but i believe users can just turn off automatic playing gifs/stickers in their own settings on their own accord if this is a concern. its under settings>accessibility.

i'm not sure if this feature is known to the mod team, but i think it exists for this reason.

An antagonist I created as a sort of miniboss for my players in the current quest in my Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Gogol the Perfidious is an orkish shaman and will be the first powerfull magic user they will face.

Another antagonist for my Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Bletek Swordhoarder is the captain of a band of orks that terrorizes the area. He loves to duel in swordfights with other swordfighters and he collects the swords of those he has defeated. Also he wears the lower jaw of a dwarf he killed (complete with beard) as a trophy.

A NPC for my Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Dr. Wladimir D. Feyerabend is a lawyer, a lawyer with many decades of experience. He always chuckles when people call lawyers bloodsuckers. He doesn´t like sunlight.

how did you come up with the name Bletek Swordhoarder?

I thought of a gimmick for the boss of the orcs, so one of my players has a sword that gives him an advantage against orks, ogres and goblinoids. I thought what if the orc boss sees the sword and challenges him to a duel? Everything else kinda fell into place, the orc boss is a talented sword fighter that likes to challenge other swordfighters for a duell because he likes the challenge and to take the swords out of their cold dead hands. Thats how he got the nickname Swordhoarder.

That's a cool idea. I love how the boss's personality connects with the player's sword it makes the fight feel much more personal and exciting. "Swordhoarder" as a nickname works great, it really makes him seem more scary and powerful.

My only critical word about the work is you obviously don't play guitar or a fretted musical string instrument of any kind. So if you get alot of work to do bards, you can sell the skill of getting the fretting hand right.

Youtube the “Skwisgaar Skwigelf Advanced Fast Hand Finger Wizard Master Class” and that should help you get how mapping hand movements works for guitar because it was done from mapping real guitar playing with the animation of the lesson.

Critically its that wrist rotation and the whole elbow and arm moves to do it as the wrist stays still.

The fret spacing gets smaller as you get closer to the body of the guitar.

Jigsaw - the goblin DJ
Jigsaw could be described as a bard/artificer. He has made himself a tricycle/turntable which he blasts his performances from to a rowdy goblin-clan. Within the club-like goblin cave that he calls home, his music booms.

Using gnomish crystals and modified gadgets he can sing through voices of the severed heads of bards that had been slain in past raids.

When performing, he is rapidly plugging in his two green crystals into different heads to "change his voice" as well as winding various different gnomish-music-boxes which he mixes and distors by using his hand to spin or "scratch" a buzzsaw blade which is being empowered by a red crystal.

The players may begin to enjoy this particular non-hostile goblin cave a bit too much, until they either attempt to bargain with the goblin King or partake in a little too much "glowshroom". The party will inevitably play one of Jigsaws "games" - whether they agree to it in a bargain with the king, or they black-out and wake up in a caged off and unfamiliar area of the cave.

The entire goblin clan then spectates as Jigsaw tells the players "let's play a game" - Jigsaw unveils a trap filled maze for the players to navigate, complete with crystals that sporadically, but indefinitely reanimate nearby corpses into zombies to chase the players - and then Jigsaw begins blasting his music as goblins swing from chains, bang on the cage, and dance with murderous jeer.

I am planning on starting a DnD YouTube channel. 16+ years of TTRPG experience and general lover of collaborative storytelling and spreading them smiles.

Starting from nothing, so there was a serious consideration for using AI for monster images, as gross as that felt, because I'm in no position to pay artists, as I STRONGLY feel they deserve to be paid.

I made my own DM screen out of reclaimed wood and also steel for the frame. Used the regular D&D starter pack screen which has been set into the wood. Perspex screen over the top which can be drawn on with chalk pens and rubbed off. Also has a metal bar along the top so that additional notes can be attached via magnets

I like it. Solid work. The only thing that I see, which I'll preface by saying is really minor and probably not worth changing- is the sizing of that forefront arm. Something in the way it looks feels a hair "short"?

Might just be the way the armor sits on the shoulder or something, or just my eyes. My brain tells me it should be a hair longer from shoulder to elbow and a hair longer on the forearm.

Dynamic perspective can be a pain. A 1/8th rotation of the torso can noticeably affect arm size, or how a leg realistically should be positioned.

Then on top of that we have this uncanny Valley thing that only kicks in sometimes. Hahaha

Hi! I have! It was the same for me at first too and unfortunately what helped was just starting it. The first pages won’t be perfect and that’s ok. Watching videos for inspiration was also helpful, but it’s easy to compare after

What helped was understanding who the character is at its core. After, it was to determine what type of journal it was. Was it for inventory? Abilities? Or just session notes?

I unfortunately lost the journal since then but opted for a handwritten session notes journal and kept everything related to the abilities digital since those change
