Probably because it looks like a dice. You do roll to use it, though. You roll once to decide what polygon it morphs into, and roll a second time to what creature from the table corrisponding to the shape of the polygon you transform into.

she's a barbarian! How do i convey that more in her art?

When people think of barbarians they’re thought of as fierce and strong or aggressive your character looks more gentle than a barbarian your character looks timid and gentle which points away from the personality type of a barbarian. I like your character design a lot but if you want to convey a barbarian try to give the character an attitude and appearance of one. But that’s just my opinion. Continue the great work. (:

Furthermore barbarians typically wear very little or tribalistic outfits or armor and it's very uncommon for them to employ quarterstaffs. She also doesn't seem super muscular.

There's nothing wrong with a barbarian that has a more "civilized" appearance. Sometimes it's good to break stereotypes.

Yeah, she's a fairy, but compared to most fairies, she was massive, so she was often teased and called a giant. One day, she found a beanstalk, heading to a giant's castle, and was adopted. There she struggled to fit in, but tried her best. Her fathers were very over protective though, and now she was bullied and called pipsquak by the other giant children (who she then promptly beat up, enranged at their bullying). She ended up leaving and adventuring because she wanted to prove she's strong enough on her own, and she doesn't need protecting

The flowing robes and mask she wears are emblematic of cloud giants in general, if you look through their designs

which in and of itself shows a longing to fit in

i guess i could perhaps make the clothes tighter on her, but i had them really lose, as they are doll clothes, not human clothes, and even then too big

maybe i switch it from a toothpick to like a letter opener or pencil?

Her outfit looks like something a noblewoman would wear. Maybe it would look fancier if you knew how to do shading? You could always use glitter, precious metals and gems to make the dress more extravagant.

Also the mask seems to be made of plain wood so it doesn't look super fancy.

But yeah, I would say you did a decent enough job at drawing a dress a noblewoman would wear.

One of my friends drew my character and I love her. She’s a homebrew race that are underdark humans called Grottbo and her class is circle of dragons Druid.

From what I know (it was the friend who drew her’s homebrew). They went underground to escape some sort of plague or calamity in their civilisation and over generations they adapted to underground life, interbreeding with other underdark races coming to where they are now, the lure exists because it helps them locate each other in the darkness, it’s more useful with children.

They’re semi tribal and their society is linked to dragons. Their sort of coming of age ritual is to hunt a baby dragon because dragons are the number one cause of death for their species.

Stat wise they get darkvision. Resistance to poison damage and advantage to avoid or end the poisoned condition. Advantage on checks to track down, identify or recall things about dragons and and attacks against them deal extra damage equal to your proficiency bonus once per round.

She is a member of a homebrew race for my homebrew setting/campaign.

The race is called Aquariads.
They are aquatic humanoids who's appearances very wildly. Any child is morphed by the goddess Shebalba at birth if they are born under a storm or over the ocean. Some people dislike them, mistreat them, and treat them as taboo, because of the circumstances of their birth. They also can't make facial expressions, since their faces lack the muscles for it, but they try to mimic them anyway. Like most can't smile, but will bare their teeth as a way to imitate a smile

His son, Edrin, a satyr artificer (who feels he’s losing his dad more and more every day, but doesn’t know how to reach him). And Golderd, Edrin’s firbolg sorcerer fiancée (that can’t seem to catch a break with his shop’s dwindling sales, his room becoming infested with rats, and having to move in earlier than expected with his fiancée)

Hey folks, I'm not trying to start any sort of debate here, I'm just looking for resources.

I'm tired of using AI to generate NPC and player portraits. The ethics behind it as well as the overall low quality, I'm just over it. The quandary that I run into, like many others, is the price of real art.

Does anyone know where I can get NPC portraits by real artists in bulk without spending a fortune? I'm not looking for free, just not hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Kamu Brambleback; the recurring tortle merchant for my party! The friendliest face you can find when exploring the kingdom of Thenazar, but he's clumsy beyond belief.

The session my group met him, they saw him knee deep in mud strengthened by slimy honeyfruit sap (a homebrew plant that releases syrup through their roots in the rain, turning the ground around the tree into a slimy mess), and he took a bit of a tumble.

It IS; a buddy got me the game for Christmas and I loved it, so I drew my Minotaur, Bjorn, (who also worships the god of sunlight in our homebrew world) praising the sun!
