Testing creating book pages for a friend the idea is when someone rolls say a perception check on the boss he’ll be able to send a template of an open book with a picture on the left page and then text on the right page giving a small synopsis of the boss and some information about the items it’s carrying.

Anyone have any good reference pictures for an undead werewolf burning with fire from within their chests? I'm wanting to draw a bbeg for my group but I can't quite find that many good references for the concept I had in mind.

Essentially this bbeg as mentioned is an undead werewolf with barbarian-style armor(chest strap across his bare chest going from lower right side to left shoulder with a singular pauldron, loincloth or tabard around his waist buckled with a humanoid skull, and plated bracers on his forearms) with his face exposing his skull(he still has a lower jaw which still has skin and fur, but his upper jaw, eyes, and snout is without any skin in similarity to a skull mask). Key feature being the burning glow orange emanating from his chest and inside his mouth down his throat, and burning coal-like lights radiating from his skull's eye sockets.

Lore context, he was a werewolf lord that was killed by a previous player hundreds of years ago, and was reanimated by a cult to serve their dark patron as one of the dark patron's chosen, now forever burning with an unending rage and hatred for not only all Monks across the land but also the very lineage of the one who killed him as he seeks revenge.

I am going to start DMing at my neighborhood game store in January and I expect to have mostly brand new players. I was thinking of making some inexpensive gift baggies or souvenirs or something to reward them with after they complete their first adventure. Maybe something that's a representation of some loot that their characters get in the game, so that when I am roleplating their characters getting the thing I get up from the table and surprise them with IRL souvenirs.

Any ideas for things that would be relatively inexpensive and easy to make? I have access to a 3d printer and laser cutter, my husband is a potter, I can paint and sew and crochet, and am generally pretty crafty.

If you've got a laser cutter, cut them some gold pieces. The ones in the Forgotten Realms are pretty unique in their design, so would be pretty fun to have a little baggie of them.

Sabueso is a member of the Guard of the Wolves. His name before getting captured and turned into a Dark Knight was Sir. Fennec.
He and his broder protected the Red Tower, where studies and experiments of forbidden magic of a mad wizard are kept protected and away from evil. His blade deals bleed damage and the amount that it's target bleeds Sabueso heals of.
He is very agile and roams the surrounding corrupted forest of a hidden bastion. He is so fast that he can make 3 attacks in each turn and gets the chance to challenge oportunity attacks in a DEX saving throw, having a +5 in it.

My friends just beated him on our campaign! Loved it.

Maybe make them more stoic. When I look at this the pose is exciting and the the shape of the character is pretty round in shape those both are giving off a less harmful feel. Also her legs are exposed if you wanna make someone scary hide there body because that extra unpredictability is scary when you can’t see someone’s body it’s hard to see who they are making you feel unsafe or you know make them grotesque that’s a good one lol

Honestly, I really like how you have it now. For the other arm I would probably bend it up slightly. It's generally someone's natural reaction to be able to help in balancing.

But honestly, personally I'm not the best at simply looking at references to picture movement. In my own personal experience, I like to try to do the movement myself and see my reaction. Either that or watch videos on someone preforming that action.

Had a bit of art commissioned for a campaign I'll be running in the new year. This is a Dwarven Stoneship - inspired by ironclad warships and the classic British Man o' War. Its made of an special stone called Ripplestone which becomes lighter when it comes in contact with water, making it both buoyant and strong. The flag it is flying is the banner for the main country my players will be adventuring in.

The stars outside are constellations, but they're all scattered; messed up. Half finished except for 1.

If the players realize which one that is, then the statue in the room reaches out its hand and presents them with a book to let them decode the remaining 😄

Feels like I'm drawing up a full adventure game sometimes haha 😄 Really hoping they'll enjoy the visual presentation!

I drew my boy T.U.K.O (stands for "The Ultimate Knock Out"), my dnd character. Hes a Barbarian Warforged, who is something called a Spectral Devil, a special infantry unit in an army called "The Haloed Reapers." His backstory is pretty much that he was captured by an enemy, his core was extracted and replaced by a poorer, and more weaker core that was also corrupted, which gave his body a virus. Now, he has to find his old core back or he'll slowly die from the corruption of his new core.

It is a borderline joke character. Ceros got somehow abandoned on sea as a baby and got raised by a pod of sea monsters, who all ended up becoming her patron.

She left the sea to search for a huge diamond placed on top of a volcano that would turn the sea into all rainbow colours when the sun was in the right position that was stolen by somebody. Ceros herself thinks she is a sea monster and dismisses people not believing her as due to her being so small.

Here's the final version & all the alterations I had in mind for my 1st complete DND Character.

The flamed up looks on the bottom is his rage state, where the flame of the sun god that lies within his soul gets to take some control.
But to summon the wings, he just needs some form of emotion.

The left images are Ovia in the self-made intimidation armor, made to scare those that used to mock his size for both a Aarakocra & especially a Barbarian

The pants are basically DB Broly's when I was thinking about the design I should stick with, I just altered it to fit with Ovia

And yeah color theory helps a lot. But the base light values must be solid first.

I always make grayscale shading first and then use Overlay, and Multiply layers to add color after.

an earlier version of the design had some leaves on the back and the DM said they could have "chicken flight" with the leaves, so I modified it to this instead for more flavor
