Neket versus the Vampire
Neket didn’t expect to find a vampire lurking in the vast, dark decks of the nautopolis White Darroya, a ship so large it carries an entire city. Unprepared, she has to rely on her illusions and her wits to outsmart the bloodsucking undead. It seems like the vampire has found her, but is this really Neket, or one of her clever illusions, placed there to lure the vampire out of hiding?
Character: Neket, Moon Elf Illusionist Wizard
Neket is a gifted young wizard from Timinhur, an elven city with strong ties to the moon. She has studied all schools of magic but has a certain inclination towards illusion magic that twists the perception of reality and dazzles the senses.
After remaining trapped in a cryophagus for sixteen years, Neket had to flee Timinhur to escape the Selenian Idea, an ambitious coup that turned her nation into a sterile and oppressive regime, and transformed most of its people into spellforged constructs, able to survive on the barren moon of Naam.
Now on the run, Neket must rely on unlikely allies to remain free and perhaps find a way to help more of her people escape the oppression of the Selenian Idea.
Neket is one of my own characters in Theomachy!
About the Theomachy setting:
In Theomachy, vengeful gods fight each other for ultimate control of the universe, while the mortals of Naam struggle for power on a dying world. Divine magic is a force without expressed will that the warring gods hoard and wield against each other, threatening to undo the entire world. Clerics and paladins are either devout followers of the warring gods or theomachists who fight against the gods, liberating divine magic and using it against them.

A mighty barbarian I painted!
Character: Tryphon Tripidis, Herculean Barbarian
Tryfon was born somewhere north of the city of Estoria, on the world of Thylea. His parents were young and didn't know how to care for him, so they left him in the Greater Steppe. Luckily for young Tryfon, he was found by some sympathetic centaur and thus grew up with centaur children, who taught him to hunt and fight. He joined their hunting parties and fought in their skirmishes, and took particular interest in wrestling, figuring out how to take down larger opponents. As a young man, the centaurs told him that he could seek out his destiny, if he wished to, and so he left.
Tryfon found his way to Northern Faerûn, near Luskan. Being young and brash, he got himself into far more trouble than he was able to deal with, often due to his weaknesses with liquor and women that forced him out of many cities, including Neverwinter. He eventually reached Leilon where he joined an annual festival and took part in a tournament of strength, claiming victory over King Hector of Leilon himself. During that annual festival, he met a party of adventurers, including: Xavier, the aasimar cleric; Azalea, the half-fairy, half-pixie rogue; Shadow, the fox-like fiendish monk; and Anatoli, the human bard and prince of Mirabar. Each of them distinguished themselves in different ways in the festival. After Tryfon’s victory, the King requested the adventurers to deal with the white dragon that had been terrorizing the area, and tasked Tryfon, his new champion, to go with them. He happily accepted the chance for adventure.
During their adventures, they have thwarted a drow raiding party on the mining town of Phandalin, borough and recovered lost items from a dragon, slain the dragon, defeated umber hulks, fought against an army of werebeasts, thwarted drow in Neverwinter, have been tasked by Bahamut of fighting a growing evil in the world, and are currently trying to clear their names in a cloud city.

Im trying to draw guard/soldier helmet concepts for each race. So far I got the Humans down (all of which are just... historical helmets from real life) but I seem to have trouble with the fantasy aspect of armor design. This is shown with the elves where I just made a sharper Norman helmet. I dunno, fantasy armor always confuses me, I work better with irl armor lol

Well, the thing is, i've studied classical painting all my life. So i understand how to build a painting. But i've had trouble with digital. I wouls say, find a brush that suits you, preferably one that doesn't have high opacity settings. So that you mostly build with one tone of color. And fill out the biggest forms first. Then paint on that. Afterwards experiment with different kind of softness with the brush, but don't focus on detail. Work zoomed out as much as possible.

Also some 3d model rendering applications help a ton. Light and pose a model however you like and use it as reference.

Currently playing a dog folk (witch dog breed) lycan blood hunter for a precolonial filipino themed campaign called "The Islands of Sinauna"

Character: Reyes Starshell, Tortle Monk and Sorcerer
Reyes Starshell is a member of a tortle village nestled in the center of a large natural hot spring deep within the mountains. He is also one of a few special tortle, imbued with the power of a dragon in his heart. Related to a great red dragon that looks after his village, he trained his entire life to become a chosen guardian with the dragon's blessings.
With his training complete, now his final test begins. He has to travel to the unknown beyond his village and learn how to fully control the fire that burns in his heart.

Character: Oriel the Waking Dreamer, Sun Elf Warlock of the Catilus
Born to a wealthy family in the great elven nation of Ramethis, Oriel has been harboring a dark secret since birth. Shouldering an ancient curse, she suffers from visions that can manifest as illusions that alter reality itself for her and those around her, unless she controls them through sheer force of will.
Oriel’s father, Lord Eresseus, is a vastly influential merchant who sought to buy his way into the court of Ramethis. For his goal to succeed, he had to ensure Oriel’s secret remained hidden while he manipulated her into an arranged marriage to a viable heir of noble, or even royal, birth.
Just before her hundredth birthday, Oriel entered the royal court of Ramethis to serve as a diplomat and mediator, a duty she assumed with enthusiasm and fulfilled with success. However, as soon as she realized that her position in the court was part of her father’s schemes to marry her off to a royal heir, she abandoned her post to seek refuge among the peaceful, yet sometimes hedonistic dark elf sages of Varmy, deep in the Sunken World.
Not to be outsmarted, Lord Eresseus employed master diviners to track his daughter down and sent a host of suitors to Varmy, hoping that one of them would impress Oriel enough to secure a marriage that would bring his daughter back while ensuring his elevation to noble, or perhaps even royal, status. Her father’s intervention threatened to bring discord to the serene dark elves of Varmy, and when one of the suitors was revealed to be a dangerous enchanter who would not hesitate to subvert her will with his dark magic, Oriel made a brave decision. She left her dark elf friends behind, and against their counsel, she escaped into the Mageplex, a disused and unstable nexus of magic portals built by deep dwarves and dark elves millennia ago.
Entering the Mageplex, Oriel fell through the Rift, the astral plane through which one could reach most other realms, and found herself battling against her own visions and entropian horrors that live beyond time and space. Sensing her impending doom, she used the last reserves of her magic to cross into the void, the endless, featureless realm where reality has not yet taken shape.
As she floated helplessly into the void, she caught the attention of the Catilus, an ancient feline being of creativity and whimsy that had just awoken from its timeless catnap to create once more. The Catilus brought her into its family and bestowed upon her magic to paint color and meaning into the nothingness of the void. Empowered with these newfound abilities, Oriel was able to finally master her vision, turning them into works of magical art. With the aid of her patron, she returned back to the world of Naam as a member of the Catilus Family.
For Oriel, it felt like a few days of intense struggle against entropian horrors, and then a few more days of partying and making art with the catili, but when she stepped out of the Mageplex, five whole decades had passed, and the Theomachy, the cosmic war between the gods, had transformed Naam beyond recognition once more. Now, as one of the first warlocks of the Catilus in this era and one of the few remaining sun elves on Naam, she must use magic more creatively than ever before, seek out old friends, and make new allies if she is to survive…
Oriel is one of my own characters in Theomachy! You may recognize her from lots of other illustrations, paintings, sketches, and homebrew!

A seasoned adventurer, Cagalli now has to face a new challenge as she offers a romantic gift to someone special! You may recognize Cagalli from several other pieces I drew!
Character: Cagalli, Dark Elf Cleric and Rogue
Cagalli is the daughter of a reincarnated Goddess of Light and the descendant of a God of Dark.
She grew up not knowing any effect that this mix of bloodlines might have, spending most of her childhood exploring deep tombs and ruins across the world with her parents.
Cagalli became a curious explorer and avid treasure hunter. As she got older, she was dragged into a civil war caused by her father's old adventuring party before he retired, fighting hard for what she believed. Near the end of the war, she awakened a tremendous power in her mixed bloodlines, which came at a cost. After she used this power too much, a surge of magic pulled her away from her world.
When she next awoke, found herself in a strange world with vastly different technologies, cultures, and landscapes. Most of her magic had also gone along with a lot of her battle prowess. Soon after she came under the protection of the goddess Eilistraee, eventually becoming a devoted cleric. With her newfound insight, Cagalli eventually discovered that she was trapped in an inevitable cycle that would warp her into another world after she recovered enough of her magical energy.

A fun tiefling druid I painted! This is the first of a series of pieces. Svanhild eventually becomes a wildfire druid!
Character: Svanhild Forestblade, Tiefling Shepherd Druid
For as long as she can remember, Svanhild was taught to be a steward of the land. Her father showed her how to live by using the forest while also respecting it, and her mother helped her hone her ability to hear the forest’s voice. The Renon elders took notice of her magic potential, her gentle nature, and her fierce loyalty to her tribe. When she reached her teenage years, they invited her to their rituals with plans to educate her in the old magic. However, her training would never reach its natural conclusion.
Approximately seventeen years after she began, the soldiers came. Their declaration was the usual: every family must give up one young adult, for military service. It was her clan’s turn to answer the call, but it couldn’t have come at a worse time. A long dry season was upon Gramt, the other clans would depend on Renon, and their forests, to survive it. To lose the robust young adults now would devastate the tiefling. Before she truly knew what she was doing, Svanhild volunteered herself in their place. Her magic, she argued, made her worth several of them.
Svanhild, and a few others were taken and brought miles away to some unknown waste. The soldiers fed them just enough to stay on their feet. One scorching afternoon, they were pushed into the basin of a tall sandy dune ,and before anyone had a chance to wonder about the situation, they met the enemy. Giant lizards that appeared as if from nowhere; Gramtese Dragons. These territorial beasts had migrated too close to a Gramtese town. The Tiefling were bait! As the Dragons feasted on her people, the soldiers attacked from behind, but there were more lizards, camouflaged and waiting, that pounced on the soldiers.
Svanhild suddenly found herself alone and surrounded. Yet the beasts hesitated. She soon realized that she could almost hear their thoughts, know that they took her to be part of the land. Her power, it seemed, kept them at bay. Slowly, she walked away from the Gramtese Dragon habitat, allowed to leave because she was the land and not simply another morsel.
Now Svanhild had a choice. She could return home to her tribe. She wanted to. But another thought soon rose in her. She was free. The soldiers were all dead, there was no one to stop her from leaving Gramt far behind. She could seek aid, return to her family with an army.
Taking the surname Forestblade to always keep her people in mind, she went in search of Irelios, a place she knew only from stories. There, perhaps, where races mixed together happily, she would find someone to help her free the Tiefling. Unfortunately, getting their help would mean leaving the wilds to enter a human city and talk to them.
While she has yet to amass her army, apparently there is a thing called "politics" that prevents the half-elven princess form giving her one now, she has gained companions and aid in her quest. A determined but somewhat ditzy half-elf fighter who lost her life protecting the capitol form a Gramtese invasion; a candy, shiny and fashion obsessed half-gnome rogue; a hyperactive, naive, and very sheltered Halfling cleric; and a human paladin of Fotir, the human god slayed by the Gramtese long ago, who is tasked to facilitate the rebirth.

Character: Zahala, Drowling Arcane Trickster, stealing the Orb of the Chronomancer
Zahala is the oldest daughter of Willow and Ilmar. Her mother is a tiefling ranger who loves nature, and her father was a roguish dark elf bard and a member of the Harpers.
Zahala has two adoptive older brothers, both also rogues. While Willow was thrilled to have a daughter who she might be able to share the joys of protecting nature and animals, Zahala inherited many of her father’s abilities and much of his temperament, using her skills in herbalism to make masks and other beauty treatments by day, and stealing and spying by night.
However, if her mother asks, Zahala is crafting skin care products by day and quietly studying the arcane arts by night.
About the Orb of the Chronomancer:
Crafted by an ancient wizard who mastered the secrets of time itself, the Orb of the Chronomancer allows spellcasters to transcend the limitations of the time stop spell.

I am aware that community would rather kill or play as goblins but my Drunken master Dragonborn saved 2 on different occasions and likes them a lot. Here is the plan on what would happen if she survives the plot.

Ratson was a cook in goblin den we had raided in the prologue. He helped us and she took him with her. He is currently working in her old job as she left to help Neverwinter in main campaign.
Grover was forced to join forces attacking Neverwinter Akademy of Adventurers. Hoshi got to him and he really was just scared and didn’t want to die. If I’m correct she knocked him out and saved him. He was taken for questioning and Hoshi is honestly worried cause she knows he is probably not treated well.

(And yes Hoshi has Artisian Brewer background)

A fun halfling I drew! Can you find the four hidden foxes?
Character: Portia, Halfling Fighter and Paladin (plus four hidden foxes!)
Portia grew up in Waterdeep serving as the bodyguard of her best friend Caelyn, before she decided to pursue magic. Portia and Caelyn ended up with a group of travelers that eventually got to own Trollskull Tavern.
After losing her arm, almost losing her soul, seeing her home accidentally blowing up, and having her best friend leave, Portia is now on a path of redemption and has only one goal, to save her home and family.

A fun tiefling bard I drew!
Character: Kairon BlackBard, Tiefling Bard
Kairon BlackBard was a simple young tiefling in an orphanage under a church to lliira, goddess of joy, in the small village of Donlavd. He grew up with only a vague image of his parents and the name "Blackpaw".
Right after he turned eighteen, he attempted to stop a group of thugs from harassing one of the workers for the orphanage. He saved the worked but lost the fight and broke both his horns in the process. Soon after he set off on an adventure across the empire he calls home and met up with people who eventually became his friends, including a shadowy sorcerer and a dark elf paladin. He also saved a young orphan named Suzy.
Kairon’s adventures eventually led him to find his father only to lose him again, learning that he has a younger sister, and also finding out that his mother is a dreaded erinyes. He eventually put together a ragtag band of adventurers known as RavensBane, which discovered a dragon when they were thought to be extinct and even shook the emperor’s hand in a vow that if our heroes can put an end to the violent war tearing through the empire, then the slavery that's so deeply ingrained in the empire will be ended, a goal that all the members of RavensBane strongly support.

I made a Human Child Warlock-Fighter with the patron having a real bond with the kid instead of a favor for favor thing. The patron was the one that was hurt in some sort of fight (Idk just go with it) and the child, Arvy. Fixed him up. They made a deal that makes them Soul linked and they will protect and fight side by side. HEAVILY Based on Bete Noire and Venom.

Drew the children of mine and my DM's creepy Lamordian Doctors (plus putting the parents themselves here)- their kids are considered monstrosities (and mechanically Simic Hybrids) due to the fact that their parents were born human but have mutated themselves to the point of becoming monstrosities

We rolled to randomize the traits for each of the kids and it gave us a very freaky little combination but its very fun
