Boron elementals are tough tiny metalloid critters and potential exotic familiars from Periodic Table of Elementals!
Creature Spotlight: Boron Elemental
Neither metal nor nonmetal, boron is a rare metalloid, the lightest of only a few elements with some properties of metals and some properties of nonmetals that don’t quite fit in either classification.
Boron has several allotrope forms and is found either as amorphous, with no definitive form, or in crystalline form, and crystalline boron is the second-hardest element behind crystalline carbon (also known as diamond). Boron elementals embody this duality, having the ability to switch from amorphous to ultra-hard crystalline form as they see fit.
Boron elementals are good buddies with their atomic number neighbors the carbon elementals and the nitrogen elementals, and they sometimes come together to form extremely strong crystal compounds. Boron is only found uncombined in meteoroids, and separating boron from other elements, and especially carbon, is particularly hard.
Boron has a very fast sound conduction speed, which makes boron elementals even more resilient. When burned, boron produces a bright green flame, though boron elementals don’t particularly appreciate being set aflame.
Exotic Familiar. At the gamemaster’s discretion, player characters may spend time to persuade a boron elemental to work with them as a powerful exotic familiar. Too strong to be bound by simple spells and warlock pacts, a boron elemental will only consider serving as a familiar for mortals it trusts and will only do so voluntarily for as long as this trust lasts.

Neon elementals are calm noble gas buddies and potential familiars from Periodic Table of Elementals!
Creature Spotlight: Neon Elemental
The second lightest noble gas after helium, neon is completely inert and never forms any compounds with other elements. Mortal eyes can’t see neon unless it’s ionized, but sages and experienced alchemists can tell neon apart from its noble gas siblings thanks to its signature orange-red glow when affected by an electric field.
Neon elementals are calm and serene, usually more concerned about their own inner peace than the world around them. They sometimes gather with other noble gas elementals to contemplate reality and watch the world go by together.
Particularly patient and persistent mortals who manage to befriend a neon elemental find out that it has no direct combat abilities, but a friendly neon elemental can extend some of the effects of its inert nature to those it trusts or use them to dampen the potential destructiveness of enemies.
Pact of the Chain Familiar. At the gamemaster’s discretion, a warlock with a pact of the chain may choose the form of a neon elemental for their familiar.

He’s an Eladrin noble who lost wanted to prove his worth and his father that he’s fit to king by embarking on a month quest in the feywild. On his journey he, encounters an old ruin with fey magic spattered around, and in the middle sees and enchanted fey butterfly made by the dreams and aspirations of the living. Upon coming in contact, he gets transported to the Mortal plane and was encountered by dream Druid near the area. He now seeks to prove his worth and find his way back home with the knowledge he’s acquired with the help of the enchanted butterfly as a companion and guide.

hi im trying to make some art of my bfs d&d character walking thru a trail in the woods, but i’m super inexperienced with putting real backgrounds to pieces so i was wondering if anyone had any critiques that could help me make it better than it is!!

to make the character pop out from the background, turn the image black and white to check your values aren't too similar

also are you using a reference for the background?

i love the character's outfit btw, especially the swirls

what i find helps for backgrounds, to not make them overwhelming, is to block in the general shapes & colours which i can work on refining later. and using a hard brush so i can clearly see distinction between colours. you can always render more later!

I begin the sketches for an NPC in our Curse of Strahd game, Dr. Elfriede Altenhofen, a (formerly) Human Lamordian Doctor who desired to turn herself into a Medusa by transforming part of her body to behave and look snake-like through many surgeries.

She is a very unlikely but possible ally along with being the ex-girlfriend of Dr. Konrad Volker, a fellow Lamordian Doctor, student of Dr. Mordenheim and one of our Major Antagonists in Strahd's Castle- while he specializes on the extension of life and improving parts of his body to be as powerful as possible, Elfriede specializes in making biochemical weapons, combining humans with animals, and known for being able to forcefully create varying forms of Lycanthropy

A map of The Shadowed lands,

4 years ago the southern region of the continent of Kalthan went dark, a curse affecting the land casting it into eternal night where the creatures of undeath now stalk the shadows, looking to add more to their ranks every day,

People struggle their way towards the edge of this cursed land, but none have made it to the edge of shadows yet, because the closer you get to the light, the darker the shadows become.

WIP of my character. A half-giant half-elf cleric. Cursed by unknown affliction that left him with a frenzied beast state if he ever lose control. During frenzy, he'd gain massive boost in physical stats that would render him very difficult to damage. However, he'd lose significant amount of mental stats that locks him to only use what his physical body has to offer. He also lose all reasoning, resulting in failing to differentiate between allies or enemies. Attacking targets randomly in each turn. This form can be triggered if he ever lose focus to suppress it. As such, sudden lose of consciousness, intense negative emotions, or prolonged exposure to brutal violence will disrupt his focus, increasing the possibility of him entering frenzy. It is advised to not put him in the front lines or keeping the battle too long as it would increase the chance of getting his focus to start to wane

A cute sorceress I drew!
Character: Yuri, Half-Elf Runechild Sorceress
The third eldest child of a minor noble family, when Yuri discovered her nascent magical powers, she was enrolled at the Asahi Empire's Consortium to master her powers.
Her family had an eccentric tradition of adopting and raising a commoner child alongside each of their children, giving them education and resources to act as confidantes for their children as adults. It was Yuri's confidante, Kavacam, who discovered a conspiracy that afflicted Yuri with the Spellblight.
After discovering this conspiracy Kavacam summoned the authorities that shut down the whole experimentation, but before further research or harm could be done to Yuri, the family had her and Kavacam flee the country.
Now, Yuri sails with Kavacam as part of a ship crew. Kavacam looks for any details about curing Yuri's Spellblight, while Yuri makes the best of things while waiting for a chance to return home.

Elfriede Altenhofen, born human and hailing from Lamordia as the daughter of a poor gunsmith of bad health and a mother who had been turned into a reborn in her early childhood, she strived to become more than her family allowed to. A unique girl amongst the crowd, one who dances and sings while she works, one who enjoys the brightness of certain colors and an obsession with snakes- She set out to become a medical doctor, gathering just enough to go to one of the colleges. Considering her vastly different demeanor, she was greatly considered an outcast, eventually, she meets a man by the name of Konrad Volker- Noble son of two incredibly powerful and wealthy families- A man who supports her goals and sees the joy in her interests, the two quickly fall in love. Despite the differences in their work, they function well together. Konrad assists Elfriede in her strange obsession to turn herself into a Medusa by sewing live snakes onto her head while Elfriede, or as he calls her, Lotte, assists him in adding tentacles to his back and shoulder in which he uses as extra limbs. Things begin to change as Elfriede takes Helmut Volker, Konrad's father, as her teacher while Konrad is selected by their Dark Lord. Over the course of their studies they grow bitter and jealous until the day they separate as she watches Konrad leave to become the Castle Doctor for the distant Lord Strahd von Zarovich.

Now, many years later, Dr. Konrad Volker chases the party back to his home domain of Lamordia and comes face to face with his old flame who's bitterness towards being abandoned and outshined by his accomplishments leads her being open to assisting the party in their final fight against the Doctor... or possibly re-sparking their flame, leaving a combat-less reunion and newfound neutrality in the Doctor.

The artwork I came up for my plasmoid monk / fighter.

Fighter 2 Monk 1, I plan on getting skill expert at level 4, and by level 5 having fighter 3 Monk 2, and using runic fighter.

They are either chaotic good or chaotic neutral, and barely intelligent enough to communicate. They are a giant goofball, and I plan on doing a build with minimal usage of armor and weapons, so I can make the most of the plasmoid's ability to go through spaces as small as 1 inch.

Thanks. We just finished strahd and he's not in a good place right now. He went down for the first time on the final fight. Strahd used .y clerics shadow to brak him mentally and tell him everything was his fault and he's not strong enough to save his friends. It wasn't a happy ending for any of us even though we beat him

@robust gull his father was killed while he was young due to halfling racism and those drove his mother mad. So he left town and the community said they'd watch over his mother while he was adventuring. He joined a halfing commune where he learned to heal and make potions, not knowing the commune was run by a myrkul cult. His book he got from the cult is a link to myrkul and he doesn't know it so the whole time in barovia he's been fighting him back and fighting his urges to get into necromancy.

The flower princess is Rosaria and she is a princess of the land and an advisor to help her hard headed brother

The man in purple is ruth and the one we have seen the longest. He is cursed to be in this abssal armor that he cant take off that just kinda eats away at him, a very scary fighter and strong friend to our party. He is the one who picked us to be the new protectors of the land as his old party can no longer manage it.

like ive played dnd a number of times with many peolpe and ive tried and its very very hard. he goes out of his way to buy art of all these characters to show us, set up a whole system for us, made custom maps, read all of our MANY pages of personal lore to integrate it into the story so i thought he might like something like this. Luna and nox! Both way or mercy monks and close friends basically brother and sister. They were from two separate clans which despised each other and eventually went into war with one another in the midst of their Clan feuds they found each other. Although cautious eventually they warmed up to each other and realized that they had a lot in common so they became good friends. Unfortunately both Clans disparaged them both for becoming acquainted with the Enemy so they were both banished so knowing that they could never return they decide to stick together and travel the lands in search of adventure and those who are in need of their medical experience.
Luna is an eccentric doctor who loves to find new things and meet newer people she'll often dive headfirst into a cave or in places that are yet to be explored just to discover new things and for the heck of it she'll often experiment with her medicines.
Nox is the complete opposite: being an angsty, gloomy, yet intelegent monk who is quite introverted and pessimistic but loves his best friend to pieces and will have his fair share of brave and courageous moments due to the encouragement from luna( he has low self-esteem). Hes also a bit clumsy and and is a goof (only around luna).
