Hello Everyone, I started a new hobby a few months ago and think I've found the right place to show it off 🙂

A rather ambitious falling floor project but I made a 1st build prototype, lots of work to do until I'm completely happy but it's getting there. You can flip it over into a snow ice theme.

Yes that's what 99% of my stuff is made from otherwise known as XPS it comes in various thickness, I use 10mm black the most, I did buy some blue 50mm but without a proxxon foam cutter or similar it's very hard to cut straight lines with the thicker stuff.
I hot glue gun (really cheap) is also highly recommended along with pva glue.
I generally use a coat of black mod podge as a sealer/primer/protective coat then any waterbased paints will do tbh and a coat of matt clear varnish if you want to protect further (stop the paint coming off with excess handling).

If the quality is lacking, try practicing life drawing first that really helped me get extra mileage with my art. The tools and the processes don't really matter as much as your understanding of form, shape, perspective, shading lighting etc etc even if you favour a more stylized look, having the fundamentals locked down really helps elevate the art so much more hope this helps 🙏

I am still so much just figuring out how it works that i dont realy have a stile in coloring. But i like the Character alot.

You really shouldn't fear anything cause it looks amazing! I really don't have any tips on it, I think it looks really good!
The only thing I'd probably add a bit of a rimlight behind the left part of the head, but apart from it, looks gorgeous!

YouTube helped me a lot when I started, there is a lot of good tips on rendering and stuff like that ^^ also one of the most important things for me is: Don't overthink it.

Often their are also a lot of good tips on the specific program you are using. Different types of layers, brushes and all that.

Just entered a new arc in a game I'm running, which has led to a cursed tattoo on one of the players to keep growing and spreading - got the full-body look at it today. She is becoming ✨spooky✨

A long story, but I shall summarize !

So- homebrew world, and it has a nation that's basically just filled with blood and magic from a war 1,000 years back; the magic has basically made the blood stain the land, all that good edgy stuff.

Since that land wasn't usable for expansion, it instead became the prison for the continent - imagine if Caelid and Australia had a baby. Once folks are in there, though, they're free to do whatever, even have children. Her character's from there, a third-generation descendent of a criminal, and the mana toxins that exist there flooded her body as an infant. It gave her Sorcerer powers (Wild Magic, ofc :))) ) but has also been slowly creeping across her body.

This is a little scene that character drew for this area of the world as a background for one of her arts, to give an idea of the vibe.

A unique wizard and warlock with some “entities from atypical planes” I drew!
Character: Xvall, Alienist Conjurer and Vermin Lord
Cast out of out of his scholarly conjuration circles for recklessness in his conjurations on the premises, Xvall never did fit in with his peers. His reckless experimental obsessions and his ability to summon entities from atypical planes of existence quickly made his practices the subject of much scrutiny. Since hearing the bizarre messages of "the visitor" during haphazard attempts at conjugation from the more outer planes, Xvall seems utterly convinced that the material world is festooned with a "cosmic greatness" beneath the surface of our regular reality that wishes to come to manifestation, a concept that appears to slowly taper on his sanity as he alienates himself from his once professional life in the high towers of controlled and tempered magic.
Where Xvall's path will take him is uncertain, but considering the number of "accidents" and amount of property damage that occurred in the institutions he affiliated himself with, it is likely to lead him on the fringes of civilization, where he will find a more reclusive approach to his potentially disastrous "research" into what exists beyond the material plane…

Kobolds are digitigrade like dogs, cats, horses, etc. They walk on their toes.

So they have a long femur, and a short calf beneath it that hinges back beneath the femur. The next joint, the "backwards knee" is actually their heel, with a very long foot, and their toes or paw on the ground.

In most depictions of kobolds, their femur and their calf basically look like >
