The story behind why I’m getting stabbed in the image, is because I “married” the BBEG, or atleast one of them, while the other two (the Dragonborn stabbing me, and the drow.) were almost killed by the Dragonborn’s childhood friend.

The character I play was stuck on in a village and didn’t have much access to basic knowledge on what should be or shouldn’t be considered a good person. :)

I drew this a while ago. It's meant to be a npc that follows you in a forest. I use it anytime the campaign has the group in a forest.

It'll clone itself and swarm any players in a group

I've just called it Bill for now cus I can't think of a cool name

What it does , it'll slowly attempt to separate the party and attack the smaller groups it's made . It won't talk to the group , only stare , and one will be a distraction as clones surround the group . You can kill the clones very easily but they duplicate fast . The original bill will try and stop the party from leaving the forest if or when they all group back up and try to escape .

BOAR WARD:
A magical bronze shield depicting the face of a boar on it. (Attunement!)

3 charges, replenish at dawn.
When an ally that you can see gets hit by a melee attack by an enemy within 30ft that you can also see, you can use your reaction to summon a charging boar from your shield. You use this reaction after the attack roll is confirmed to be a hit, but before knowing its damage.
The amount of charges expended and its damage depend on the distance it travels before hitting the target:

atleast 10ft = 1 charge, 1d8+1
atleast 20ft = 2 charges, 3d8+3
30ft = 3 charges, 7d8+7

The target makes a Strength saving throw, DC 12 + charges used.
On a success, it takes half of the damage. On a failure, it takes the full damage, and the damage of the triggering attack is halved.

oh and another:

SWAMP COWL:
A weathered looking cowl decorated with a layer of faux-moss. (Attunement!)

While attuned to this cowl, you are immune to poison damage and the poisoned condition. Furthermore, as an action you can have the cowl cover your mouth and nose, removing your need to breathe for up to 1 hour a day.

Don't. Your character already looks real cool, and getting better with drawing comes with doing it. I step in the same trap when in see some of the stuff here but comparing yourself with others dos not help. Get inspired by all the cool stuff here and if you realy want to compare your stuff, than only to older works you have done yourself and you will see the progress (even so it feels so slow sometimes, it is there)

Multiply and Overlay layers, hehe.
There's a default Procreate brush called Carbon Stick which is great for making a 'paper' sort of texture and I do both a multiply and overlay layer to give it more depth.
Then I do a multiply layer with an ink wash brush~ Just gotta mess with opacity of everything to tone things down etc so they aren't overpowering. And also using a soft edged brush to erase it gently from areas like the face so it doesn't have too much interference from the texture

This is Leaf, a tiefling scribes wizard of the Order of the White Robes (he's for a Dragonlance campaign). His fiendish parents came from another plane to Krynn to capitalize on all the war and strife, but Leaf decided he wanted to pursue a more righteous path.

The party in my campaign is gearing up for a big dragon fight in its lair. We normally use maps displayed on a 55" TV, which works great, but for an epic showdown, I wanted to fall back on practical effects. I've got this idea for an undead crocodile creature The more I think about it the more I start to make it something much more creepy. It mimics voices, people, or knows just enough of human speech to encourage you to go closer to the water.

After some quality feedback from people in this Discord, i have built it up a bit in height, adding taller vantage points to see over walls and attack down from (for the dragon as well as the PCs) and also providing small and medium-sized creatures with things to hide under to take shelter from a flying dragon who might otherwise be able to fly up and see everyone all the time. Also, the type of die, is a d20 "spindown", not ideal for random rolling as it's design is for easily finding the next number to eg: keep track of HP/life. That's why the numbers are adjacent.

Likely they didn't know. And you can still roll them, I generally don't but I would if it's all I have near me, and I've seen some people claim they are too easily exploitable, but I'm more suspicious of poorly weighted dice that a spindown. I try to salt test all mine.

If you have salt tested it and roll it with a dice tower, it's as random as any other dice

Honestly you have two options:

Download illustrator. Spend years absorbing it's garbage UI into your tender brain until it's second nature to wield it despite being garbage. Create a rough draft of a fresh new character sheet design that constantly has things misaligned and out of scale despite your best efforts. It's like a puzzle that takes itself apart as you put it together. (Honestly, illustrator is made for art and logos and.... illustration so this kind of fancy layout work was probably doomed from the start.)

Download Figma. Use autolayouts and components and stuff to make a pristine character sheet. It's not the first thing people would think of when thinking of figma, but It's really perfect for this sort of thing. Because figma puts things together basically the way websites are put together, it's basically like programming a design rather than illustrating it

but you would need quite a bit of background knowledge in design and the software to do things to the level that I have done here. I've been doing this for years as I said.

A happy accident of using this software is that my 8.5 x 11 spread is responsive

Hey y'all! Do you remember twig blights? I painted one in watercolors. Next to it there's the original sketch.

I was going for something less bulky than the typical blight that I've been seeing represented. After all these things are made of twigs and branches....

This creature is supposed to be a protector of its species, mostly preventing people from traveling the waters and fishing since it depletes food for their species.
As a species, they greatly vary in terms of their morphology. Meaning that other members aren't as fierce, but are still considered the apex predators.
They rely on these protectors who act as a barrier for their ecosystem.

1. The left creature employs its two rapier-like limbs with deadly efficiency, and its venomous whip-like appendages lash out with remarkable speed.
2. With its six razor-sharp needles/claws and two venomous tails, the middle creature boasts an impressive reach. After capturing a large prey, it embraces it tightly to prevent smaller scavengers from stealing the meal, and its wings secrete powerful acids that speed up the decomposition.
3. The right creature wields two formidable sword-like arms and two smaller clawed appendages, which allow it to scale boats and other obstacles with ease. Its tail boasts a massive pincer, while long, venomous tendrils trailing behind serve to ensnare smaller prey.

i really like all of them their designs are all really unique from each other, are they all going to be protectors or did you just want one? cause i could see them all working taking different threats down or combining their abilities if needed

Well these designs could be used for other roles as well, but I want one that's a protector.
Though perhaps an important part is that as protectors, they're not necessarily high in hierarchy. They are more like outcasts who live lonesomely on the edges of their population.

I think all are realy cool. But i like the first one the most in the way of how i imagen it hunting ans stalking. Realy gives me deep see wipes, lurking in the dark. The last one one the other hand has the moste classic protector archetype silluette. I think as a "i stand in front of my kin and push threads away" type it woulf work best. I just thing the other too are a bit more unice.

And i think the outcast aspect is way stronger on the first one. And the second maybe. Number three has the "commander who runs in front of his armee" vibes.

Uh what Barbarian weapon do you think this guy uses He is a Beast Barbarian Teifling with a Were Tiger parents and his parents were cursed with their lycanthropy and making their child a Teifling making hin an abomination in the traditional sense.
He is hysterically strong despite his size a frame and he's very cocky so I want to pick clothes that can match up with backstory,power,and personality

These are just sketch concepts for now.
The character is a dragonborn with silver ancestry. I have two concepts so far, which should I go with?

I'll probably just commision a ref for them anyway I just want to at least do a basic design myself first

Made this guy months back. Still need to decide his class. This is Dorven Miraxidor Stillfate or Dorv for short. He's just a scarred middle-aged blue skinned Horned Elf who's a hunter and a forager. I made from an OC generator where you put your name or username to generate OC designs as I saw someone else doing it on their Instagram story. His name was also chosen using a DND name generator. I just chose one that rolls off the tongue easily.

His weapons of choice are his bow and arrows, his dagger, and his trusty pickaxe. He was a lone wolf until Mimsy came around.

And then there's Mimsy the Mimic chest. Mimics aren't even supposed to be pets. Mimsy just lives in Dorv's mini cottage rent-free like a typical roommate. They just live alongside each other as long as Mimsy gets to eat the food scraps that Dorv leaves behind. Dorv has to tell Mimsy to hide somewhere in the cottage whenever strangers walk by his cabin, knowing they would kill the Mimic if they saw her scurrying about. Dorven's left horn was broken off on accident during a rough play-fight with Mimsy and it never grew back since (It wasn't her fault). Or maybe it's just growing back really slowly, who knows...

Dorv's rucksack is often filled with mainly herbs like mushrooms, fruits like apples, cheese, honeycombs still drenched in honey, and of course, healing potions as he is a hunter who hunts game animals and big creatures.

Are Elves allowed to have horns? Cuz I don't see any Elf characters with them. I'm really starting to get attached to him and Mimsy.
