I was heavily inspired by Eric Vedder's Warframe Prex cards so decided to have a go at designing my own.

Yep! Everything you see was hand illustrated (except the text, like, I aint a typography monster)
For the texture, I actually used a default brush in Procreate called "Carbon Stick" and lightly brushed it over the canvas on a multiply layer to help give it that paper like texture.
Then I also used some ink wash brushes on Overlay and Multiply layers to give some more splotch textures 🙂

Even the small minoot fixtures of shadings to mix distancing drafts and shadows exist.
even the bloody sword’s handle has individual shading fixtures that I can TELL are done individually.

Do it you won’t regret it! It’s amazing I just finished my fourth oc in a “group photo” for a cyberpunk group and yeah it feels good once you do it all

Both I felt pressured into getting it right cause I saw other artworks and how they did it and it looked easy but as soon as I tried it I gave up almost immediately made myself a turkey sandwich went to bed, got up and did it again

Was it the buckles and how everything kinda intertwines, or the way it kinda wraps around the body. I know personally that wrappings can mix the head up a bit

You did both great, im honestly having a hard time imaging it going hard for this image.

my first attempt at making some coupons for quest rewards for my dnd campaign - this one kinda looks like Among Us

for anyone wondering how to make something like that; get a tea bag and put in in cold water for 1-2 minutes - squeeze the water out and lightly tap the tea bag on a big piece of paper and make the “puddle” as big as you need (it shouldn’t really be wet, just slightly moist). as soon as it dries (or you dried it with a hairdryer) rip all the edges to your liking and get a lighter to burn some edges - voilà! You got some “old paper” :)

She looks great! Love the winged boots. The only design choice I'd recommend would be adding like a crossbody pouch or bag! That'd add like another layer to her design without overcomplicating it and shows how she carries her things. But really really lovely and I love how the clothes fit and your folds on the shirt, that's something that I personally struggle a bit with adding that extra dimension to it.

Also out of curiousity what are standard rates that people would charge for commissions(full body, half body, face only) and also is this art style strong enough to charge a decent commission rate?

Thinking of being more active in doing commission work but I'm researching artist rates currently and they're all over the place 😅😅😅 some are really good but charge low....some are not so great but charge incredibly high

I'd say commission rates are a bit of a trial and error sort of thing. I went from charging 25$ for a fullbody to charging 110$ for a fullbody in a bit over a year. Charge what you think your art is worth (I'd say you can definitely charge up to 150$ for a fullbody) and see how many commissions you get. If you don't get many clients lower the price and vice versa.

Yeah, I was asking ideas for clues but the channel I was in didn't allow pics.

I like to use physical puzzles at the table where players get it and have to look for clues to solving it. Usually a cryptex, and they have to uncover clues about the combination.

I think I ended up with the plan of making a crayon rubbing of the labyrinth on aged paper, tearing it up, and having them find scraps hidden in various places.

The puzzles require a lot of effort to find a solution to opening them, but inside I put notes with major reveals such as who a bad guy is or a step or steps in an evil plan.

Actually it was a rather pleasant dream. It was real medieval.

I was on a horse, swinging a mace in people's faces while being in this kickass colosseum. Then im suddenly in the woods and I see a guy I saw from my rehab shining the flashlight from his phone at some werewolves, then he gets dragged into the woods.

Then I get off the horse and enter this small wooden carriage and open a drawer, inside were small wooden knight figures, all colored very uniquely. And the one that caught my eye was the one I drew :} the moment I woke up I immediately grabbed my sketch book and drew as fast as possible why the idea was fresh

I'm all for catching grifters but before sounding the AI horns, look at the portfolio/social media links.

Often times, a AI bro doesn't have a linked social media or pieces tend to have a inconsistent style.

Don't be so gun ho on call outs friendo.

Plus, the piece itself is very consistent. Bad anatomy is a bad way to spot AI. Better method is to spot redudent or nonsensical part. A person has intent, AI does not. Like this piece here. Double mouths, redundant assets on the hat, etc.

So this is a BBEG for a low-level December holiday-themed dungeon I made. The guy’s name is the Holiday Spirit (i originally was gonna call him the Christmas spirit but I have a few friends in the group who don’t celebrate Xmas). He is a demonic elf ghost, burned at the stake for having a demon inhabiting his body. When he died, the demon left him but his now-mad spirit still haunts the ruins of his village. Ik my drawing skill is nonexistent compared to everyone else here but I hope u like it.

(Spoiler BC he has a torn-off arm, ear, eyes, and finger. He is badly burnt and has blood dripping from his eye sockets. Also, an image of his face at the bottom corner might be a bit scary for some).

Some other mini bosses in the dungeon include The Great Tree Mimic, Rudy the Red (reindeer Minotaur), and Krampus the dragonflesh grafter

When I design my characters, I like to consider their personality and what they do - are they the type to wear complex outfits with many layers? Do they prefer simpler styles? What would they need to have for their 'job'? Is the climate something you should consider as well, like is it tropical and hot or wintery and cold?

I really like how you can keep various traits from other backgrounds when you switch and can add as many as you want because it's really easy to build a character personality by going through backgrounds that are relavent to them but not their main background to make a super fleshed out character
I've added like 2 flaws on my own and that's it
