#how long does it take to "forget" a piece?

Varies widely from person to person but 2 weeks to about a month on average of just not playing it at all and moving to a new piece i have seen in myself its starts to degrade not altogether but little by little maybe just throw it in the mix once a week to keep it in the noggin
it depends on how well you knew the piece aswell
pieces that i used to know extremely well i can still play pretty decently after like 6 months of not practicing them
completely forget?
like 8 months
forget small sections, like couple weeks, but you can easily build back
depends, but for me completely forgetting a song is not possible without a few years, but by the time you can't play by memory starts by a week and gets intense after a month.
if you can't play the two songs every day, then try playing it every other day or once a week, or play a small chunk of each song every day and rotate chunks, but stuff varies from people to people, that's how i do it
depends on how much you play it and how many pieces you're handling
If you've played the piece everyday for a long period of time (either to practice or because you like the piece) then it'll take long to forget. 3-8 months if you really know the piece, 1-2 if you don't, few weeks if you're practicing other pieces
