#How to play arpeggiated chords with forte

I’m struggling to play this arpeggiated chord strong enough so it resonates properly for multiple measures. I’ve tried it with my left and right hand (it’s a bit easier with the left hand), but I cannot get it to resonate properly. It fades after one or two measures.

#

I can include a video of me trying it later. What I’m struggling to do right is keep the notes loud enough without hurting my hand (with my right hand) or making it look awkward (with my left hand)

#

I have tried using the middle pedal to sustain it and it kind of helps but because I don’t play it loud enough in the beginning it doesn’t sustain for long enough

# wicked ginkgo a vid would be nice to hear what you're struggling on rn, no pressure to get it ...

So I spoke with some other pianists and they said based on how the song sounds, playing it as an arpeggio makes more sense.

I’ll probably record myself playing the treble clef part both ways today and post it here. I’m at school right now, so I can post it after I go home in an hour or two.

I think the way the music notation was written confused me and I was like… that feels wrong but I don’t know

you could try some pedal

#

other than that, if your problem is your hands being tense after playing the chord, you don't need to apply much force on the keys once they're pressed down

keep the 1 2 4 5 fingerings but turn your hand as you roll the chord

#

or ig 1 2 3 5 works too
