Listen to the piece you're learning, if you're not learning a piece then watch some analysis videos or criticism video to see what's important
or just be this guy
If you're learning how to read then practice reading notes
I didn't really study any theory honestly, I skipped ahead to learning pieces which most people would consider a mistake
It's up to you but I think most ppl would agree it's best to start with learning theory
Also I didn't have a piano for like the first month that I wanted to learn piano so I was just trying to practice reading on a virtual piano like on this website https://www.onlinepianist.com/virtual-piano
But obviously learn how to read sheet music, don't immediately play by ear or those falling note videos
I am trying to learn by dividing my session and giving like 40% of the time to the piece I'm learning and the time left I sight read, play scales and chord progressions and do finger exercises like hanon
