It wasn't working this way until today so I think it's a bug

i heard different things on reddit, isn't it supposed to be intended? because in a solo run, going into a no resurrection chamber and dying is a game over right there and then?
so isn't the intent to make it equally as punishing and scary in coop?
It is not intended for multiplayer but logically that is most likely how a dev programmed it.
think you missed my point, if it worked differently then wouldn't this modifier be way way less punishing than designed (as obviously it stems from its SP's version of high risk)
you get to not lose the run instantly in MP, but however you do lose all your lives as the trade off
so i never thought of it as a bug?
i think people see it as a bug as in multiplayer, just because one person can't revive and the debuff is per room based, the team survived the room, so why should the single person be punished so harshly? anyone that experiences it feels pretty bad, so intended or not I think the community at least for team play wants it changed.
This bug ruins runs. I hope it isn't intended because that's some awful and punishing design if it is.
then by the same logic it feels bad in singleplayer too, as it's a run ender no? you could say it's per room based but if you're solo, that room will be the last room for you if you die
the only argument i see here is that the price for reviving teammates is already steep enough to consider it a punishment for dying. but even then, the modifier wouldn't have the same value in MP as it has in SP (game over), which is contradicting unlike the other corruptions that apply the same
the way i see it, people just don't seem to like having this modifier exist in the first place
I'm fine with saying this works as intended and also that it is an uninspired and badly designed mechanic which should go.
end of the day, devs are changing it because enough people dislike how it works in MP.
i'd argue mushrooms and max HP curse are way harsher and worse, at the very least as long as you don't die and dodge you're good with no resurrection - HP curse? well good luck finding how to remove that on top of healing reduction (for some reason it does that)

this modifier was the least of my worries personally lol
Personally I'd just remove the modifier. It basically makes the game easier for anyone good at it, because you get rid off 1 corruption.
