<@&796420348849160224> hey guys so i wanted to ask a question to see if any of you guys have had a similar experience to this but i have this problem where when i learn piece like lets take for example the Chopin's Impromptu no 4 in C sharp Minor i can't stand listening to recordings and even hearing someone play the piece bores me and before i used to love this work. is this a common problem amongst Pianists? If so is there a way to fix or avoid this with my future works i learn

It happens to me all the time and I think it's a pretty common thing. It's probably similar to when you begin to get bored of a music because you loved so much that you listened to it 24/7. Here, it's the same but with piano, you keep hearing it while you practice it.
I think things that could work could be:
- giving it a rest, stop listening to it and playing it for some time (or play it so slowly that you don't recognize it by ear"
- try to listen to it differently: try to find new notes or melodies you could emphasize
Besides this, I don't see a real solution to it 😅
