#CBSE vs IGCSE/A-levels

I'm Indian as well and I completely agree.
CBSE is so much easier compared to IGCSE as someone who has had a good taste of both CBSE and IGCSE.
CBSE is easy to gain marks for… High marks are guaranteed whereas for IGCSE or A-levels, you can never be completely sure.
okay I think im qualified enough to answer this
I did my igcses and then I switched to cbse for 11th and 12th
and lemme tell u to PLEASE not do that
it was rhe worst mistake ive made in my whole life
the syllabuses were difficult, rhe exams were difficult, no calculators, grading is strict, and overall was a horrible decision
I got all A's and A*'s in igcse and my performance in cbse dipped DRASTICALLY
cbse is simply mugging information up, which usually for CAIE students doesn't work out that well
if you value your future please just continue in CAIE and do ur A levels
dms are open if u wanna talk further anon
Generally speaking regarding subcontinent boards, since idk about CBSE in particular, but the content is very rote kinda, or maybe that's just the way it's taught. "This is this, don't ask why, it's just how it is, remember it"
So if you're good at memorising stuff then CBSE is easier yes
But I feel like CIEs are much better structured
And don't just dump a ton of information on you
yes real whatever saif said
I couldn't cope with all the rote learning and lack of explanations for each concept
caie tests your knowledge, not your ability to memorize
it will help u in the long run asw
The cbse syllabus is recently rumoured to undergo changes cuz of hwo easy it is to top now, its arguably easier especially for those who can memorise well
I sure hope such a change happens
