Full distraction is gonna make it worse because you'll end up suppressing your feelings. Reflect, think it over, like Hertz said. Temporarily shifting your mind works when you are upset but the best thing to do is get your thought out there. Talk to someone, yourself, siblings, whatever. Write it down, scribble, doodle, what works for you
