#the male population

the 'male' population
instead of masking the entirity of male kind
why not say most of them?
your practically saying rubbish to the ones who stood for your country
the ones who died for you to be in your position
not saying woman did nun
they too were inckuded in history
but if your going to mask an entier gender for deeds done by one, than I am sorry, but this is compelte bs
and if u fall that hard to rage bait
ain't nun what could be done 4 u
i dont mean to come off as rude, but think before u say bs
and so for men themselves
use the power granted to you for good
Not gonna debate, imma j say what I think. The idea is alright but it's poorly worded.
There's been so many confessions ab things like SA or harassment, and even things about j mental health where alot of people, not just men, reply w disrespectful shit. Not here to point fingers and say men do it more, it happens on both sides, and this kinda rage bait shouldn't happen jn the first place on a serious confession. If its 5 paras of some1s mpreg, go ahead, but don't be insensitive to actual issues. This isn't just for anon confess either, but in many real life situations or in venting channels and things, people r very chill ab it. We've become so accustomed to making everything a joke, some things should be taken seriously.
chat thats js the title, the confession says ''some of the guys and girls of the server''
the main title.
then say it in the title as well
Same way, generalisation is bad and kinda offensive, but in the grand scheme, it's a very small part. It's not helping our cause, since it disrespects men who are trying to help and men in positions of power that can actively bring in new policies etc, but on a very practical level, this generalisation will continue to exist on our actions as women, espicially jn South Asian countries, are often victims of sexism and misogyny. Its much safer to think everyone is dangerous and remain cautious then to take chances and the only way to combat this is by tackling misogyny from the youth.
Man hating and throwing around blame isn't gonna make the world more inclusive. We gotta educate ourselves and try to challenge our prejudices.
keep on cooking ๐ฃ๏ธ
real
but to be fair
they do repeat
"the male population"
in the confession itself
Could have been better worded it feels v much like a crash out than a genuine conversation opener
yea it's not easy to generalise such comments to a specific group. we're on a public, online platform, and people find that repercussions to their actions rarely happen
so, as per their nature, they tend to make comments like these
or perhaps, instead of blaming everyone (as shit said)
focus on urself and be a better person and try to influence the world for the better with the power you become worthy of through excessive hard work for all genders, including corrisonts and mikrovaves
I'm not condoning such actions at all obviously
these people are the lowest of the low
but they won't stop, will they, when people make confessions and posts like these?
Yeah its OK to notice patterns. Likr all those Andrew tate boys who think misogyny is cool and shit WILL make misogynistic comments. But instead of giving up on half the population, convince them against such ideologies. Ur not gonna combat sexism by rejecting half the population entirely
true
andrew tate and all those influencers did unrepairable damage to the mindsets of people
Yes
even if a fraction of that they say is true, that doesn't automatically validate everything else
I gotta watch that new netflix show adolescence
people tend to idolise these people without knowing what they even talk about
whats it about
It's not crazy to say men are sexist, but you can't just stop there.
i think when you begin fighting on whether or not generalisation exists, you kinda lose focus on the battle on actively making other people safe from your own actions
y'all gotta understand what guys view as generalisation of a gender has become a norm for women
Idk much It's ab some kid who got involved in incel culture and these ideologies and end up committing femicide
as a Pakistani woman, i have been taught religiously to ''safeguard myself from men''
and i can fight this generalisation
but at the end of the day
patterns in male behaviours i interact with exist
and you cannot deny those
oh.
Yep. Alot of times when women bring up genuine issues, men say its generalisation when it exists on such a mass scale, it is their reality.
the confession explicitly states there is a pattern in SOME of the guys and girls
despite the poor wording of the title and the first sentence
the true meaning of the confession is not gone
yes exactly
if you move past the poor wording of the initial sentences
I'm not saying this confession is that, but the one ab SA and the one ab the man making comments are every day things for alit of women. Saying its generalisation invalidates MANY MANY women. Men are not being suppressed by that statement but women are. You deny then the proof that it's not a one time thing.
you'll see how imp the confession is
because it talks about an issue actively existing throughout discord severs
yea ofc
abb you cannot call it ''a generalisation of all discord severs and an insult to past discord severs that were good''
I said I wasn't gonna debate and I'm still replyin ๐ญ๐ญ need to lock in
๐ญ
real
This anonymous confessions server has been made for the sole purpose of making individuals feel safe expressing their concerns. When people act disrespectfully by disregarding people's feelings through insensitive comments, they completely undermine the purpose and integrity of the server.
and i think that when you want to fight about the notion regarding generalisation you actively have to break the norm for yourself rather than trying to defend all the possible good men out there
when someone recognizes a pattern in 'male behaviour' or any ones behaviour it is because they have seen it happen in MULTIPLE cases
if you want to fight it
break the norm first
instead of defending blindly
you do not know what someone has witnessed
the ENTIRE point of this confession was to be more empathetic towards each other and all of this has been compromised on the debate over generalisation
What difference would it make
eh dk, but u get my point
No I don't lmao, you just got defensive and went on a sanctimonious rant about "not all men" without getting the point of the post
Which is what this post was talking about in the first place
Shit and stressed are the only ones here capable of nuance
In this post and the previous one
i think that was literally his point, as in the "not all men" part
obviously it's not all men?
anon literally said in the confession
some
putting the title aside
Exactly
And even if anon did specifically say "all men" it almost never actually means every single man
The implication is that it's all the shitty men anon has had the misfortune of communicating with
But instead of empathising and looking at where anon coming from
He makes it about himself
thank you, i could not have worded this better myself
Gave +1 rep to oriole1906!
No worries
