#

imo you can't go wrong with most of them lol

#

so wtv you wanna learn more about, do that

#

obvs some cases you might wanna avoid some but generally that is the case

#

for example aerospace engineering for most nationalities it isn't a good idea to study that

naive gull
#

which in the US is under the department of defense

#

so you must be a US citizen to work there

mighty pond
#

right

#

but a lot of countries have their own space research agencies right?

naive gull
#

I said that for many and not all nationalities

mighty pond
#

fair enough

naive gull
#

in case you aren't a citizen of one of those countries

#

not sure where he's from

#

also since it's largely government owned

#

the wages

#

could be lower

If pi = 3, and g=10. Does this mean that 3^2 is equal to 10?

If 9=10, I can cancel out the 9 so it's 0=1.

  1. Methanol (CH3OH) is industrially produced from syngas by the following reaction:

The reaction has incomplete conversion. The product CH3OH is condensed, and the unreacted gases CO and H2 are recycled (see the schematics below). It is known that for the overall feed of 1 mol/min CO and 2 mol/min H2 to the process, 0.25 mol/min of CO remains unreacted. The unreacted CO appears in Stream 2 together with other components. Stream 2 is fed into a condenser, from which CO and H2 will be recycled back to the reactor (as Stream 3). Stream 4 is the output from this process and contains pure CH3OH.

Molar mass : MH= 1 g/mol, Mc= 12 g/mol, Mo= 16 g/mol

a)Calculate the production rate of CH3OH in mol/min. What is the overall extent of reaction? Draw a boundary to surround the system for your calculation.
b)If the recycling step is removed, what is the extent of reaction?

inside the reaction vessel, things could be approximated as an equilibrium

define the system as the vessel

and is the free energy of the reaction or the equilibrium constant (at a certain temperature) provided?

A 55 kg astronaut who weighs 190 N on a distant planet is pondering whether she can leap over a 7.0-m-wide chasm without falling in.
If she leaps at a 15∘ angle, what initial speed does she need to clear the chasm?

#

i have been on this question for 20 min. can someone help?

supple quest
#

W = mg on the planet, so we can find g of that planet! That'll be our vertical acceleration.

Horizontal components:
Sx = 7 m
Ux = U cos(15)
ax = 0

Vertical components:
Sy = 0 m
Uy = U sin(15)
ay = -g

With all these info given, now we'd have to figure out which kinematics equations to use!

#

@fickle sleet try use the horizontal components to find t first, then use t with the vertical components. I think you might have to do a simultaneous substitution

fickle sleet
#

got it thanks @supple quest

Which engineering is best for business?

Software imo

Are computer engineering related fields getting saturated?

#

Or software/ hardware engineering fields

leaden vault

For the most part

The comp sci field is expanding

#

Open more jobs

steady lynx
#

Currently the saturation is in the computer science field

#

Computer engineering exists but finding jobs is difficult

toxic cobalt
#

Yea i meant is it tough getting jobs as an engineer like fr

scarlet flower
#

the really fancy stuff like data science etc is far from saturated

steady lynx
#

sorry i meant like a full stack developers, it falls under computer science.

scarlet flower
steady lynx
#

yeah i was told countless times to go into computer science by many people but i gracefully said 'no' and i went into computer engineering field instead(well planning to) . Sure i wont find many jobs around it but when i do it'll be a pretty good pay roll

#

but besides all that, it's enjoyable.

scarlet flower
#

but if you're good enough there are really nice oppurtunities in the West

steady lynx
# scarlet flower hard to find jobs in India/Pak for it

Absolutely, met a full stack dev in Pakistan and i showed him my github and he went like 'yeah this great, but you wont find any jobs here regarding this, maybe you should focus on some frameworks and then maybe you could get a job'. The pain was surreal.

scarlet flower
#

Just HTML/CSS/JS is useless

steady lynx
#

*JavaScript frameworks

#

talk about embedded here and you'll be redirected to stack and no other option sadly

scarlet flower
#

most of the desi tech industry is in some sort of outsourcing or the other

#

and guess what kinda work most peeps want outsourced? full stack w/JS frameworks

#

Mainly React, Angular or Vue

steady lynx
#

this person in particular was doing most of the work in JavaLite

scarlet flower
#

yeah its a common backend choice for large companies even in 2021

steady lynx
#

unfortunately, i'm not at all familiar with this stuff. So what i'm saying is probably cringing you out.

#

certainly hearing java did to my ears.

scarlet flower
#

just that for whatever reason large companies find it to be a reliable backend for their products

#

in fact that's it, Java is reliable

#

Node.js can be quirky sometimes, especially once you throw npm in the mix
