arent u gonna do any english profiency test?
I finished my IELTS about 20d ago
It's good enough
what do u mean losing early admission offers?
so there's like 2 periods for UAlberta admission letters/app eval. to happen
also if they give u a conditional offer and lets say u dont get the grades as per prediction, what are the consequences?
one is before March where they may send you some result (i.e. offer) or if they didn't send it to you then, then maybe after March, around May/June
they'll reject your app
It's on the basis of the predicted grades/requirements of the conditional offer that you're still eligible
so unless I misunderstood sm, then this should be the case
It doesn't become scary
bc i have zero confidence in me
only when you inhale a handful amount of copium every day
lol
Seriously tho don't do that; it's a joke. ZNotes mods, that's a joke
i also had york university and ryerson university in my list
what do u think about them
I haven't heard of York Uni tbh
I'm not too interested towards Ontario so didn't really look into it
From what Ik, Ryerson is a really good university too
okay then not for me☺️
Cmon dude... don't give up so soon
Have you seen their requirements?
😭😭
idk man most of the uni requires a B
but then its hard to get in with a B
if i get all A’s in my A levels, will i be able to get into york uni or ryerson ?
or is it still not enough
I think so. Man, I wish I knew more about this to be able to help you out more
i want to go to toronto
its okay☺️☺️
you helped a lot
thank youu
Gave +1 rep to シユ (Shiyu)#5457
yw.. Good luck dude!
Brooooo
No one f ing knows about percentages
The results only include the grade
So why are you being paranoid
Even my igcse didn’t have any percentage written on em
So you good man
Yea they just want specific grades like for example an A in maths and Two Bs in any two subs including one science subject
So you don’t need percentages
Bruh
Bruh no one asks for the percentage grades which world you livin in man
I have seen two batches of grade 12 boys graduate and all got admission in unis based on their as level results
They just sent their soft scans as part of the application
And predicted grades as well
Cries in zero extracurriculars
And AAB in as level
Bro these are not correct
I mean no one should judge as level grades based on percentages
Cause each ears paper is significantly different than last year’s paper
For eg: this year AS computer science practical paper was the most shitty paper I ever seen in my life and coincidentally the percentages of A were very bad compared to last year
yea but their requirements don't seem that stringent but ig as many ppl say it is competitive it might just be hard
how did you know this
PUM being
Percentage uniform mark
Again what does it mean
Atleast i hope so
Theres no way people are like this
Ur graded on sth like a bell curve
So only a few select candidates can get A* and theyll set that raw mark to an associated PUM 90
also the june thresholds for cs mean that in order to get an A in AS level
you need to get more than 56%
I cba anymore
man
Except for A2 100% candidates
i checked results from caie website
this is what i got
where is the PUM
i am not blind man 🤣
@mellow venture
i am paranoid now
so ask them that can you pls provide me with the PUM
just composite it so dont have to worry about PUM
nice
Thx man
still paranoid on my business B
so what PUM is bad
and i should just retake business at that point
anything other than 69
nice
maybe can get A in A2
depends on whether high B or low
B
difference between high and low B is 7 marks btw
outta 100 total across both papers
so even if i choked it and got a low B i should have a shot at A* right
Search it on Google?
Dude by slightly, slightly easier to get into
Compared to the top dogs
Yes but I think you should just reference the Grade boundaries just to make sure
Better be safe than sorry
Bro what exactly do you mean
Ik that A in as level is equivalent to about top 20% in the world for that subject
B is top 30% in the world for that subject
So wdym by grade boundaries
They remain constant all that changes are the thresholds for each paper
But the logic remains the same
Nvm.
Varies from university to university. Check the application deadlines on the specific websites. It's somewhere around March I think to send in
deadlines
my younger brother who will give O levels on may june 2023
can he go to canada for college after o level results?
he asked me and idk
so im asking
nah they require at least 3 A level subjects
then can he go shcool?
Yes?
he WILL HAVE TO go to school and complete his A levels if he wants to go to Canda
?
ok thanks
Gave +1 rep to Vangmay#7760
@dawn forge you can get into some universities using 4 AS level but tbh if you want the widest range of options, then yes 3 A levels
thanks for your info : )
Gave +1 rep to シユ (Shiyu)#5457
You're welcome!
this aint true bruv
% of people getting A in AS is greatly dependent on the sub,,,,for subs like english its way below 20% and for the sciences its slightly higher than 20%
yea to get a visa
Every year or just the first year?
for every year
Ugh
Is this applied to all Europe countries?
No
Anybody going to Australia here?
Imperial, LSE UCL.
See the grade thresholds are on average calculated like this
The 80%>get A
69>getB
So those 80%> more or less means the same thing
Like the analogy i am using is very wrong but still
Block acc meaning??
An acc in bank that holds money
Get good grade in A2
What were your grades
can anyone suggest me about applying to ox?
just apply by october 15
Generally, Oxford and Cambridge are tougher to get into than other UK unis as there is a lot of competition for a place, and there is a bigger emphasis placed on being able to apply knowledge rather than just regurgitate it (so in the interview, they may ask you questions that are above A2 level to see if you can work out logically what the answer will be from the knowledge you already have)
Also instead of extracurriculars, they prefer 'supercurriculars' - ie going more in-depth in your chosen subject area beyond what is taught in A-level
Which course were you thinking of applying for?
Chem
I have grades of 2A*s and 2As (A*s in Phy and Chem, A in Bio and Math)
And also university research work, with a publication
And also a medal in the IChO
That's excellent!
I would suggest that when you write your personal statement, mention your university publication and your IChO medal and explain why these things made you want to study their chemistry course
Like you should try to make a narrative that shows that you really want to study their course and everything you've done so far has been leading up to it
Feel free to DM me if you have any more questions
Heyyyy!!! I need some advice, So basically i just completed my ASlevel, and now i have no idea about how to apply for unis. Obv ill be doing Alevels then uni. Im planning to apply for UK (as my first priority) or Canada. ik UK unis r very tough to get in and idk where to start. If anyone have really good knowledge about UK unis pls let me know!!!!
hello! is there anyone here applying to Australia through uac? something is up with my applications and I can’t put my finger on it
https://forms.gle/S9wNrREaPNktS8NJA Hey guys please fill out this form it is for my research paper... thank youuu :))
my school only offers AS levels, should I rather do a South African matric instead? (I'm writing IGCSE finals this year)
What would be best going forward?
Does anyone know anything abt uni in sweden?
Cambridge 👀
What's yall's opinions on a double bachelors in 2 completely unrelated fields
Stupid
for cs with physics
Which uni offers that? I don't think that's an option
Maths & CS yes, maths & physics yes
But not CS & physics
What you can do is pick one of them and then take the max of 2 modules external dept each year
it is definitely an option
I don't know about where though
"Computer Science. Having a background in CS can help with almost any physics research endeavor, and each year a few students double major in both Physics and CS. "
-- berkeley.edu
many other sources do say it's possible
Generally speaking Imperial is really good for cs from what I know but not sure about physics. You also have warwick which is good for cs I think. Id just do what mushu said which is do a cs degree and take an elective or two for physics
Imo
Also are u international or home student?
internationa;
Background in CS sure but you can't do physics research without knowing physics lmao
Computing helps but it is just help
you get grades
maybe? depends on uni
again - depends on uni
look at the unis ur interested in
they usually have a page dedicated to scholarships
Fuck u im researching physics from the start
I will make new physic
Well ok then
Nani not proud me make fisik 😡
Smh
Wait you can do that 👀👀
yeah some of them offer it
but you gotta pay twice the amount tho
Hello guys, i just finished igcse and im going into alevels but im only doing AS not A2 as i want to do a foundation course as my second year. Does anyone know a link or website to good one year foundation courses for psychology in europe or canada? thanks!
Question : Do universities in UK look at your SAT if you have given it or not because my plan is in the UK and no where near America so do you guys think I should still give SAT to boost my application or no.
Wat to do get scholarship for uk uni??
Search up ucas
I dont think ucas will tell u either
Realistically it depends on the university
But generally speaking
Better grades than most of the cohort accepted
ECAs
Banger personal statements
What that
Yeah
Extra curricular activities
Don’t have any 💀💀
I mean
If ur not going to a like
Super prestigious university
Like
Jus have one or two
That makes sense
Dont need to go overboard
Hmmmm okay
How to do these
I seriously need tips
Or at least a good sample in order to even get a gist about how and what should I be writing about
Watch some videos atleast
Anything ive written is nowhere near as good as what they did
Check some YouTube videos that what I did but just know that there ones are super good
As students who sat this m/j have you started applying?
wanna know if its still too early or otherwise?
I haven’t even picked a uni
Most ppl usually apply during the jan Feb months
And half of our school’s A2 hasn’t even gotten a uni yet
Coz some didn’t apply and some are waiting for a reply
phewks i thought i missed something cause i dont even know where to start
Apparently ucas ends at December ish
I don’t think it ever too early
Medicine and Oxbridge end earlier btw
I'm saying that to those who might apply to med in the UK
It is October right
Yes
Back in my days it was Oct 15 for med
And oxbridge
And 22 Jan for other programs
no lol
p sure for like most programmes
mid jan
unless changed now
Oh it Jan yeah more time 😆
do any of them accept 3 As :(
cux i got all Low As in my AS and have absolutely no hope for A stars
Depends on the uni dude
scholarship in the UK are non-existent
they dont look at your PUM
an A is an A
and if you get an A is as it is always theoretically possible to bump it into an A star
smh id kill to be a Uk citizen pay like 90% less for tuition fee
sucks not to be Katnix
are you sure
did i say something forbidden
True you do pay like 3x less tuition fees which is payed for by student finance lol
No Ramen just being an asshole
mods look at this
😔
im scred
It’s rare cuz for example if I get A by just a mark means I got close high B so it’s like a jump from B to A stars which is rare
Guys I lost A in business by two marks
Threshold for business as level was
73/100 for our paper and I got 71/100 so how good are my chances for and A*
are there any unis that accept a med ps for natural sciences? I’m looking at my non-med options
Anyone knows any good unis in Germany for bachelors in mechatronics in English? and their requirements to apply
I can answer you about the requirements
3 ALevels
Minimum grade c but some uni require higher
Or just 1 ALevels but u will have to do a foundation year but it will cost you more, could reach 20000 € (just for the foundation year)
And even if you study in English u will need to reach level b1 at least in the language to travel there
The rest try googling unis in germany and start going to the websites to know more specific info about what u want to study
Bruh I am starting to panic dude the prices 💀
Germany is the least expensive in Europe lol
Heard that norway is too
The 20000 € It's only that if you take the foundation year
After that the fees could reach only 400 $ per semester ig
Like it's nothing compared to Britain for example the least is 20000€ per year there 💀
But yes
I'm expecting germany to raise the fees in the next years nothing is staying like it is anymore
But still uni is expensive 💀everywhere
I don’t know how I am gonna do this
Facts
I heard even with good grades it’s still high
Nor do is tbh
I should be deciding and searching but idk what to do
Yeah me tooo
Yess can u believe that??
Like why just why
In Britain its 20000 € and nothing will change it even if u get 3 A* in ALevels
All I pray for is a good affordable university
For now I'm focused on my grades
Hopefully it helps somehow elsewhere other that Britain 💀
True
Yes all i need for now
And high grades
Thanks a lot dude
Gave +1 rep to s.#7183
Np
But i just knew that we might be not allowed to do a foundation year
Just for the British system
Like we have to take the 3 ALevels we don't have other choices
While others systems can take the foundation year if they have not reached the requirements
I'm not sure i just read that somewhere
If anyone knows if that true or not please tell
Nice but can I know about any cheap uni in Germany which is in English
From what i reached in searching, i think all the public unis are very cheap
As of fees of the uni
But u should put in mind the living costs and stuff like that
And I'm still searching for English programs
For me i only found one uni which will teach only the fisrt 3 semesters ig in English
Then it switches to german
It's called RWTH Aachen uni
You gotta search
Go to the QS ranking for unis around the world
Write germany
Take the names of the unis that appears
And start going to thier websites
Write your major and look in what is it tuaght and what are the fees and requirements
That's what I'm doing for now
What i know till now that if you want only English programs that will be in private unis
But it will cost u alot it's not cheap
For one year or the whole course?
Each year in the course you pay 20000 € in Britain
Thanks
Np
how much are the priv unis
like more than britain or less
Same or more not less
This is what i heard
Ans when i searched it said could reach 30000 €
anyhting in the 7000 range
idk any tbh
Shiz
Ikr
all uni r cheap there
but problem is
that u need to have a block acc
around 10k each year
What’s that
Also my friend said
Most German unis
Require the German language 💀💀💀
an acc in the bank
Nah now that my parents will never do 😂😂
Give me 10k dollar 💀💀
u should put money in it to prove to the goverment that u have money to live a life lmaoo
Oh
I get It it
bro i cancelled germany cause we aint got the money😭
Like financial support
im looking for smth cheap anywhere
I was looking at it since other are way more expensive dude
Even with good grades
EVERYTHING IS EXPENISIVE
Ik dude
Hmmm
look into it
European unis are cheaper
Like the main land ones 💀not uk
And also the requirements are immense
A*s and As
oh hell nahh
For the ones I checked 💀💀

i rlly thought there would be some kind of an offer since were an IGCSE students
but ig they love money
🤭
Rule of the world 😭
LOL
Actually the prices increases for international students 💀💀💀
Like by a lot
And this is excluding visa 💀💀💀💀
norway cheap but ig living requirements are quite expensive (this was pre pandemic,, idk about now)
I've decided to begin applying/tidying up my applications by Oct 1 so I can begin applying then as most universities will have opened their undergraduate applications then
which university should I apply for if im going for Finance
depends how much you can afford your stats etc
but ig if everything was perfect Wharton is 1 of the best
does anyone know a good med uni in europe that is accredited by the gmc?
gmc???
Knowing what evidence to provide to support your application can be tricky. That’s why we’ve grouped by country the qualifications you must provide.
That link should help
If that doesnt help then check the other tabs
What’s gmc 👀
General medical council
Ohhhhh makes sense
Basically the medical regulatory and council responsible for docs in the UK
Tyyy !!
Which unis in the UK would be the best for natural sciences?
And what would be the most important thing(s) to base my choices/decisions on?
A) Course content
B) How prestigious the uni is in general
C) How prestigious the uni is in natural sciences
D) League table rankings
E) Anything else I haven't mentioned (I don't really mind location though)
The course content
The lecturers maybe
But you would probably not be able to judge that at a bachelors level
Where the university is located
That helps for internship opportunities
Rankings should mean much to you
Thats more or less a phd students concern afaik
like if a uni were in London I'd have better opportunities for internships?
Hmm
I think that can be better answered by people in UK
My case is very diff i jus gave general advice
Not exactly
hmmm then what would be a better way of looking at it?
Guys what is the cheapest possible price for a uk uni for CS
You'd have more networking opps for jobs and a lot of internships are available in London so you may not have to move for example
Nani backup 😎
hmmmm I see I see
Like being in London doesn't make you more likely to get internships exactly
But it might make your life easier
But its not worth paying London cost of living
Mfw have to move to helsinki because all the fucking internships are there
😂😂exactly
nah im a guy xdddd
Can u be one
ehhhhh, maybe
Damnit
I can I can
hi guys i’m new here
Which unis in the UK/US would be the best for economics and finance?
And what would be the most important thing(s) to base my choices/decisions on?
A) Course content
B) How prestigious the uni is in general
C) How prestigious the uni is in economics and finances?
D) League table rankings
E) Anything else I haven't mentioned (I don't really mind location though)
sorry for the copying
Honestly speaking someone needs to make a general answer and save it to pins yall jus keep asking the same questions
Lmao
Hello everyone, I'm interested in taking computer science in university, however I don't really know what to look on when researching on the university
Most important choice is the country you're gonna be studying in. Make sure it's a place you're gonna be happy in for the few years you spend there studying.
Next you look up the best universities for CS in that country, and make sure you don't sort by ranking, but by whatever metrics you prefer. Ideally you'd like a high teacher:student ratio, should fit your budget (including scholarships if you find any), and ranking should only play a small role in your choices.
Make sure you use plenty of sources when you look for info. Quora, reddit, forums, ask alumni of the university, etc
Yea, I mainly want to go to Canada at the moment
However I don't really understand the university's scholarship since a lot of them give very vague requirements
ask international alumni to see how it went with them
Idt alumni would know
they would, especially if they came from the same country as you
they gotta be international alumni
Would Reddit be a good place to ask?
No.
Depends on the university
if it's big enough and geeky enough, then yeah
but generally no
ask the admissions faculty of any university to help you contact alumni. Include specific requests like they should be international and from x country if possible.
Alright thanks
np :)
also ur interested in canada right?
@young whale
is waterloo one of your interests?
i'll slide in ur dms for a good minute
60k CAD
Since it's so competitive
still, it has a huge discord server u can get informatics from
Yea I'll keeping it in the back of my head
it's not that competitive if u wanna go there for smth other than CS and CE
or SE
I said 60K cad
but yeah it's expensive too, all canadian universities are from 30-70k CAD
Where did competitive come in
i meant to tag this
then tag u with this XD
Guys what are the cheapest possible unis in uk
Ik in Canada the cheapest possible is 20k cad per year
guys do most unis require internships or its fine if we don't have any
No
Unis dont require internships
In most cases
Idk if theres some like 0.1% chance there is
But no
Nobody expects a highschooler to have work experience
uk is expensive ive only seen some btw the 25,000-50,000 pound range
but you can ask study agencies in your country just a call a away and theyll answer all your queries for free
hello
do guys know any universities that offer foundation year for medicine
in turkey specifically
or any other country
What's your country of choice? What universities there are you applying to? What are their requirements?
Base your decisions on that.
Are you planning on completing A level?
Or only AS and stop?
Because in Turkey they won't accept AS levels at any uni as a full A level is only accepted by the Turkish ministry of Education
But actually they are implementing a new system where a centralised exam called TR-Yüs will be done by international students so I'm not sure if they will even care about your curriculum from 2023 onwards
nope
oh okay thank you
Gave +1 rep to Sanko#7293
this applies to private universities too ?
Yes
Also keep in mind I think Turkish unis will still require high school certificates even after this program is implemented
So they might not care about your A levels but they will ask for proof of you finishing 12th grade(aka High school diploma)
both ig
Asia I'm not sure
For Europe some will take A levels but I think most will want you to do an entrance exam
But generally in Europe unis don't accept AS only as far as I know
If a person in india does igcse, what are his/her chances doing well in other indian universities like iit, iisc etc?
u need to do JEE Main and JEE Adv to get in right? Just look at their past papers or smthn
Portuguese universities accept only AS
Nice 😆
Cool any others?
Yes, quite a few but it depends on what course you want to follow
can anyone tell me what are the subject requirements for me to study abroad in the UK? and what is the minimum grade for each subject? (would prefere medical schools)
yes Google can tell you that
can you send a site?
Just search up good medical universities in uk
And go to there website
Then check for the requirements and stuff
ahh ok thanks
Don’t mention it dude
guys
are their universites
that offers medical
on 2 A2 subjects and 3 AS grades?
in Pakistan, I will have to study again from the local books just for an MDCAT
are there any alternatives
thoughts on hungary? @dawn fern
is it hungry?
Uhhhh
Its nice
@dawn fern iirc ur in hungary
Drop him sth
no the country bro💀
Anyone with good suggestions for good aerospace engineering universities
Which country?
my advice to anyone looking at the uk for undergraduate education
check out the warwick global excellence scholarship
200 scholarships are available, most of them are quite significant
it's probably the best scholarship program in the uk
Thanks mannnn
Gave +1 rep to Jfk#6819
how many a-levels do i need for singapore?
Pretty sure 3-4 is the standard
hi guys, are there any good universities recommendation in the uk for computer science? (grades: AAB-ABB)... want to hear suggestions from people rather than just the rankings online
I live in the UK and would recommend Queens Mary University of London tbh
Nope you need a 3 a level minimum
does it also apply for IAL?
Is ielts required
Most likely
It's really easy tho I wouldn't worry
thx i would look that up... btw are there any more uni u would recommend?
Gave +1 rep to Katnix#1021
Sussex and Leeds
i looked into the entry requirement for leeds... their typical offer is at least AAA, should i still try applying to it with a B?
What’s your predicted UCAS grade
And what did you get that B in ?
Is that what you got in AS-levels
How come your predicted is the same as your AS-levels ?
Shouldn’t it one grade higher than your AS exams
not really... i got ABC in AS but im trying to push that into AAB (hopefully)
Alright then
Yeah it could be your aspiration choice one risky choice
However all your other choices you should meet the entry requirements for
So you are guaranteed to be considered still
i see... ok thanks again
2 in UAE
that's right...just 2
Yeah but UAE fees are quite high so I wouldn't just count on going to the UAE tbh
Unless ofc you got the money which if you like it then go for it
Huh
yes
Is this new or something
yea
When I was looking at them they didn't give shit
Like 30% max
it varies
Are u cbse?
no
A2
Oh if you are wondering about my nationality, it is Pakistani
I just came to Pakistan
Oh caus when I checked last year they didn't accept A2 for scholarships so I was like thank you for your generosity
they doing it this year
thar's why I am aiming for it
but the problem is
In that case go for it
If I study in Pakistan
I will have to study local books
cuz they don't care if you studied AS/A2
Although tbh UAE weather is a big reason I didn't want to stay
lol I am living there for 11 years straight
I lived for 10 lol
reason: MDCAT
explains tbh
If pak will be annoying to get admission for then go for the UAE
it is
But I personally wouldn't go ajman caus there is nothing there lol
who will study huge piles of books just for an MDCAT?
Just a uni surrounded by a desert
Me is going to Sharjah
Khalli walli Ajman
Fair enough
no Dubai, Abu Dhabi
- Grade 11 & 12 books
Ah then that's good
Physics, Bio, and chemistry
Also english
Idk why I feel like AS + A2 is a waste just for an MDCAT
Only prioritizing their relative boards are not only the solution
GOD DAMN
Include CAMBRIDGE, OXFORD
But their response: no
So I am kinda stuck here
My parents wants me to do medical from Pakistan
but I will have to go with the pain all over it again
In that case if your parents can afford the UAE go for it
they are ready for it
Otherwise maybe look into Europe
but I feel like it is better to stay with parents
Unless ofc you or your parents don't want europe
I mean imo eventually you'll have to break away from them
Whether you like it or not
:=(
So like it's better to go uni abroad so that you're ready for the actual world
I left UAE just few days back
I am aiming for a workplace in UAE Too
I believe this will give me a good advantage
Oh then idt medical doctors have a lot of trouble getting jobs in the UAE
At least not like engineers or other jobs who actually suffer to find a job
Staying in the UAE for med school?
If so yes ofc
Med + Workplace
after graduation
How long is the medical course
Oh yea ofc it's better
In UAE it's 6 year of uni
Then 1 intern year
Unless u go to mbru
Intern?
Then it's only 6 years
oh
But ofc mbru is just um really expensive
Is it 6 years everywhere?
Like really really expensive
No dw
All unis do 6 years afaik
But mbru is the only one where an internship isn't required after graduation
All other uni graduates must do internship
One year
Basically you work without a salary for a full year
ooo
Or minimal salary something like that
it will be fun
But in that year you get to see patients and practice under a supervisor
hehehehe
Oui
;-; lol
😭
But seriously good luck with your journey
And one thing to remember is
Medicine doesn't only mean studying until you specialise
No
i was just confused on how many A2 subjects I should take
Medicine means you have to continue studying your whole life
Because ofc medicine changes as time passes
Wot do you think about IT
it definitely looks worthy in the future
Oh that for shajrah I think 2 is enough yeah but double check
Pak? No clue tbh
If its cs it has a future ofc
Pak - Mdcat
they giving 1 AS Subject and 2 A2
meaning 3
Other types of IT things idk tbh
this is where I am so confused
like there's no priority for caie students
Oh okay
Tbh I'm not from pak so Idk how to like help you out with that
i asked many ppl
there are no alternatives
also why waste time if you have to study grade 11 and 12 books again just for this?
In that case get ready for it ig
No point complaining about it now
Its grind time
cutting pak off from my univ list
UAE 🎯
wdym
Which you might have to repeat if you don't get promoted
Uni of sharjah is like this
1 year foundation + 5 years of med + 1 year internship
Foundation is basically a year they use to filter out applicants
5 years
So if you join foundation they may or may not let you continue
I think they might check the report cards
If they tell you you aren't promoted to first year of med then you have to repeat foundation
as they have listed that "past 3 years of academic records"
oh
exam session?
And if you fail foundation twice then you are expelled from the uni
rip
No
Full year
Read about this on their website
There is a catalogue book
ok
Foundation courses in the UK are the equivalent of A-level standard, meaning your results in each subject should be seen as the same as an A-level grade by British universities.
bruh????
That's UK foundation yeah
Shajrah foundation is basically also A level
That's what I heard tho
Dk for sure
oh
ok
so 8 years
in total
No
is it the same in UK?
7
oof
wot do you learn in med
Ajman also same I think
is intern compulsory?

ok
If you want to leave the UAE idk if its compulsory or not
I'm not staying in UAE for med school so I can't give you accurate info tbh
where are you going?
I'm only telling you what I heard and already kmow
i thought there was chemistry
A bunch of biochem
and phy
Chem too ofc

Phy there is a bit but depends on uni

But
Arabic is mandatory
i take arabic in ksa
but i dont know arabic that well
like barely

enough to write a taabeer
Y'all what do you think bout Florida Southern college??? Is it good???
is ABBCD Bad grades for a level student?
Lol, I am applying with BBCCC to uni and got accepted in some decent unis. So Ur grades are not that bad!
That's not bad, especially if you got the D in an unimportant subject
No is very good
Nice alphabetical order
why did you do 5 A-levels though?
are those your AS grades
if so
you could always improve on them
remember you only need 3 A-levels for University
and there only uses your best 3 A-level grades majority of universities
ABBCD
maths physics computer GP chemistry
D is in chemistry. idk why my dumbass didnt drop it after thinking about it for so long
for USA?
damn like
im really anxious about this. i mean ik unis do accept but still
i even retook my computer cuz i had a C in AS and wanted a A* cuz im majoring computer and what not and yeah. got a B
i thought i did well on that ngl
I got a C in bio and am applying for pre med, lol🫠🫠
I think unis focus more on your holistic profile!!
I'm curious
Did you get a scholarship for the US
Not the amount of scholarship I wanted, so am reapplying this year with my new SAT!!
how much did you score in SAT
I had 1400 on my previous SAT, this year I got 1560!!
What’s gp 👀
Yup it’s English
Bruh you could have gone for Aice 💀
If you left chem and went for thinking skills

Isn't gp global perspectives
didnt have other subjects tho
only like the basic ones
Oh i saw English in him roles
phys chem bio comp psych socio art econ business gp maths
yea those
You got aice
general paper
Oh kk
Was it hard
😭
Like was English hard to prepare for and stuff
its just 2 papers. one is an essay 600-700 words and other is just comprehension. they ask questions after they give you passages and stuff
Like igcse but longer stuff
Not bad
not really. didnt really prepare much. gave mine at the end of my second year and yeah got a C. was expecting at least a B tho
you doing A levels now?
Cool if I drop bio and take thinking skills and eng 👀👀
I can do it
Yeah
It's useless
Also most unis don't recognise thinking skills as a subject
congrats bro! well done!
Thanks bro!
Gave +1 rep to Gentoo#9194
Well, My choice of university is Singapore so, Anyone have any tips?
so tempting to say "I do, just not the 1 you're looking for😏 " rn
well indirectly said it
Anyone know about this?
Hi! Could anyone who got/ or has applied to Oxbridge, shed some light on your experience/ any tips?
any tips for alevel subjects
like i have maths, physics, further maths and maybe IT
r the good enough fot ivy league or MIT
for engineering
is anyone here studying arts
Get good grades and build Ur holistic profile!!
Do tons of extra curriculars this is the main thing and your grades must be good
Doing extra curriculars which are specific towards your field like opening up your laptop and fixing stuff or just working at your dads workshop will also increase your chances
does anyone know if university of york in uk good
Major?
And good as in educationally? Or socially? Or how good exactly?
socially as well as educationally
economics and finance
Educationally speaking it's not the best but I think it's okay
Doesn't have alot of international credibility as some other unis in the UK but I don't think it's a bad one neither
For econ specifically I'm not sure how good education is in York
what about university of leeds
Ik UCL has good courses in econ but not sure if you want london
Ur international?
As in international applicant?
yes
What's your budget
What ik is social life in Leeds isn't great and that generally its not a very nice city
I only share what I've heard caus I used to be in a server related to UK and UCAS so yea
But I think UCL has good econ courses
KCl might have but generally speaking noone likes kcl for some odd reason
Did you look at birm
Or Manchester
Or warwick
They also have good business schools from what Ik
Also you could do econ with german/spanish/some other language
Some unis offer that so if ur interested look into it
@gritty gust there is a server called r/6thform
They might be able to guide u probably considering some people there apply to econ
okay
as long as its not birmingham
leeds is a nice city
Yk better tbh
how do you say that leeds is not a nice city and then suggest birmingham
does it not hurt you
I only have conveyed what I heard
From a bunch of uni students in a 6thform server so yeah
do we have to have awards, I mean if one reaches the final round of their country's physics, maths and computer science and programming olympiads, will it be good?
and for ecs what clubs should I join?
That’s actually good

Hihi, does anyone have websites you use to search for uni?
Cialfo may be useful
How important are Extra Curriculars, if say I wanted to get to somewhere in Canada, or the UK? I know it's definitely important somewhat in Canada but any examples of what one could do for Engineering or CS?
guys one small thing
if i do bachelors in artificial intelligence
can i do masters in software development then
because there is a uni that i really like
but the only cs related course it offers in english is for AI
but i want to work as a software developer
and the uni then later has masters in soft dev as well
yeah it should be fine
besides
even though the course name is
AI
there still will prob be swe modules
so check the
what you call it
syllabus or wtv
You dotn even need uni to become software developer
that's irrelevant, they're clearly(?) asking this because they want to study it first
What do u think y'all, should I go to this college???
you might wanna cover your name and address
I think SD has a point tbh
Unless ofc u don't mind random people on the Internet attacking your home or something
Don't u think, I would. That's edited fake, lol
If that place exist, maybe not sure tho!!
Why bother making a fake admission letter
The address part is edited only, cause it easy to edit text on website. Than to blur it with long process!!
GUYS
ik that Georgia 🇬🇪 doesn’t really care abt whether im in literary or scientific term right?
As in what subjects I took in A-level, ( I took English, arabic and IT)

Anything below uk is good with me!
