hi
Hey guys
what are some synonyms for no me gusta apart from lo odio
what's the difference between se lava, lavarse, and lavar
Help needed <@&597109637271257137>
Se lava is he/she/it washes
Lavarse is the actual verb which means to wash. Its a reflexive and it is shown by the "se" in the end
For lavar its a transitive verb so for example if i wanted to say i am going wash the car then i wld se voy a lavar en coche
Does it make sense now?
Lavarse means to wash oneself. You're making a transitive verb intransitive. Lavar is transitive, so it requires an object.
So it should be voy a lavar el coche right?
Because en coche serves as an adverbial phrase cause you're saying the action of washing happens in a car
You're describing where/how the action happens but aren't providing a direct object.
You could say voy a lavar esta cosa en coche? Or en el coche I think
Like you need that el
Check out this list on the many uses of se in Spanish:

how would you say lonely in spanish?
google says sola but thats like alone right?
i want to say i wont feel lonely.
when to use imperfect and past tense endings when talking about the past??
can someone help me find a writing paper on EL TIEMPO EN LAS VACACIONES
I recommend that you watch movies, series or things like that, in Spanish and with English subtitles.
Better if they are cartoons for children, because when they say a word they express it with their bodies in a very exaggerated way, so you will be able to understand the context in which each word is used.
any websites or app which can proof read my writing to look for any grammatical errors basically grammarly in spanish?

Guys I’m so dead ☠️
so im like pretty bad at spanish
but
idk if this is logical or not but
went to page 19 of the syllabus and looked at diff vids to start from the basics of various areas
so i reviewed articles then adjectives (like ese este etc) then adverbs ending in mente with a vid
and wrote down like maybe 50 common ones
i wrote some down on a whiteboard i have and ill go back to them jn tp see if i can remember to translate them
dude im just tryna get a 7
i know present past future and imperfect and immediate future for SOME verbs
i know subjunctive but thats for a set phrase
the paper 4 is scaring me
whats paper 4?
thas why im goin thru vocab and everythung
im so worried for listening
thas like the two topics to write on
me too 😭
so i decided i was gonna look at past papers for that
from my friends doing french and german they have all said that the listening has been hard
and the writing has been easy
and hopefully get a gist of the format
like the 2022 paper for i think june it's like knowing directions and stuff is part of it so im like making sure i remember that uk

or no wait
i think that was out of the total
bai i cant remember
my listening fucked me up
i got like 19/40 idek how
i got 80% in the writing and 75% in the speaking
anyways what im gonna do for the p4 is make sure im familiar with like certain conjugation stuff and vocab for each of the topics on the syllabus
then imma look at like common topics and try to see if im able to write on them for practice
what id say is
do like a model paragraph for each topic overall and then memorise the really nice phrases
thats what im doing
there was this thing my teacher said that for emails if u use the phrase " espero que estes bien" which would help ur marks bcs conjugation stuff
oouuu okay okay
wdym by model paragraoh btw mb😭
espero seguir estudiando espanol
thats a triple verb sentence i can put into my writing

is this better?
Yep that's good! Thanks!
@undone arrow heya! I just joined the server and assigned myself this role since I'm myself a spaniard and believe I can help non native speakers with their problems and doubts. So regarding to your question, I would reccomend researching in depth some of the given subjects for the Spanish writing exam, such as "sport", "war and race", "urban and rural life" or "food and drinks", though these are my choices, you may want to choose your own. Also, while practicing for it, I have a specific structure for the essay that will help you to organise properly your arguments and points and avoid getting stuck midway in the exam. It consists of:
·1 or 2 rhetorical questions related to the subject to be answered in depth: They must be general and focusing the entire subject so that you don't have to introduce new points out of nowhere when writing the essay. This basically gives a steady base to your essay to build over your ideas.
·Explaining and developing your arguments based on the initial questions you've written: This is where your research will come in handy because you must develop an extended answer to the 1 or 2 questions you gave, and also use a wide variety of low-frequency words to make your text richer and worthy of more points and a better grade overall.
·Adding different points of view and statistical information: This will simply make your entire response a LOT more reliable and will help prove your points. Don't saturate yourself with large amounts of research since giving 1 or 2 pieces of statistical information or evidence from reliable sources will be more than enough to gain the examiner's trust.
·The conclusion: Here you must come to an end with your arguments and summarise the entire essay into a concise and brief text. Easy.
I hope I helped you with these recomendations, and if you have any questions about them please ask me about it :). Cheers!
is this all required for spanish as a foreign language course?
This is just a certain structure to follow in the writing exam, it's not necessarily required but it helps.
hi is there anyone i can practise speaking with?
Go over all previous topic notes and revise all vocabulary in your book. Memorise connectives and language enhancers. Go over common mistakes. eg. Indirect object pronouns or double negatives. Finally do past papers or write paragraphs about a certain topic and hand it in to your teacher to mark. Good luck!💯
Hey everyone I'm new here and I'm Spanish so if anyone has any questions you can ask me if you want

hey. so i have my oral coming up. what's the best way to practice for them?
Use past papers to find potential oral questions and learn your tenses and when to use them. Make sure you understand ALL question words
Is doing past papers a good enough way to prep for listening or should I also do other stuff like revise vocab
okay
