I don't know if I'm right coz I don't remember facing the problem, but i think taking your mind off things and focusing on hobbies and other things that make you happy and feel good should work

i have tried distracting myself but it just gets worse for me. To the point where i start shaking and panicking for no reason

1. having a comfort object. this object can be smth that smells familiar e.g. ur favourite perfume, or feels nice like a soft object that you can knead. fidget toys work well as well, but its nice to have smth familiar as well. i used to use scarves and a pendant.

2. grounding method, point out stuff you can touch, hear, see, smell, and feel

3. repetitive movement

4. eating! chew gum. tricks your body into thinking you're not in danger because you're eating so you MUST be safe

the gum method is insanely effective and can boost your confidence

distractions cana make it worse sometimes
